Hit (ヒット, Hitto), renowned as "Never-Miss Hit" (百発百中のヒット, Hyappatsu-hyakuchū no Hitto, lit. "Hit the Infallible") and as the "Legendary Hitman" (伝説の殺し屋, Densetsu no Koroshi-ya, lit. "Legendary Assassin") is the legendary assassin of Universe 6. In addition, he also later on becomes the leader for Team Universe 6.

He is the main fighting antagonist of the Universe 6 Saga.

Appearance

Serious Hit — Hit removes the lower part of his long coat

Hit is a tall, muscular humanoid with purple skin, flattened ears, a bald head, and red eyes. Facial wise, he physically resembles Cell or members of the Frieza Race while they are in their final forms. Hit has lines framing his face with the skin on his face appearing in a lighter shade of purple. His cranium has a noticeable division in the center, and on the side of his head, his flattened ears possesses the same shade of purple as his face.

Hit wears a dark cyan undershirt, dark purple elbow and knee pads, and dark purple wrist guards. He has a dark cyan belt with a yellow buckle. His pants are dark cyan and he wears a pair of dark purple boots with black toe-and-heel armor. Over all of it is a long, turtleneck, dark purple, blue and grey trenchcoat. The lower half of his trenchcoat is shown to be detachable via his belt in the manga, acting as a cover for his legs so his opponent cannot read his movements when he uses Time-Skip.

In the game version of the Universal Conflict Saga, Hit remains without the lower part of his coat.

Personality

Hit is stoic and composed, constantly appearing emotionless and indifferent to most events. An expert in his craft, Hit shows great confidence and fortitude in any challenge presented before him. Hit also seems to be quite confident in his abilities. Showing a very no-nonsense attitude, he is straight to the point and speaks no more than necessary. To which, Hit will carry out his contracts, no matter whom his targets may be, nor can he be bribed or convinced to turn away from the assignment. More to his unwavering commitment and resolve, even when at a disadvantage, Hit refuses to back down from the challenge, choosing to face the opponent head-on, as noted by Cabba. The only instances in which Hit has ever shown fear of anything, are when Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6, was determined on destroying him, but even then he was not willing to go down without a fight, and during the Tournament of Power when Jiren was able to block his attack with a glare, even while trapped in Hit's Cage of Time and of breaking free of it, much to Hit's shock. Stemming from his antisocial nature, he apparently is somewhat ignorant of certain forms of showing respect, as he was slightly surprised when Goku bows to him. At the same time, he is a very astute and intuitive individual, constantly perceiving the situation at hand, determining how best to handle it.

While an assassin, Hit is shown to be very trustworthy and honorable. He will reveal himself to the target and explain why he is present, as he does not believe in striking from behind. Against one he is not required to kill, he will show mercy, offering his opponents a chance to surrender, and uses no more strength than absolutely necessary. While solemn in attitude, Hit believes in being fair, showing his respect by action as he allowed Goku to stand up because the latter helped him improve his Time-Skip. He is also shown to be a team-player as during the Tournament of Power, he saved his teammate Caulifla from elimination.

A warrior at heart, Hit is shown to enjoy a true challenge, smiling from facing Goku's own competitive nature and sportsmanship, developing respect to him as the first person to make him fight seriously. Even more, he showed said respect as he gave Goku his approval with a friendly fist bump. In the manga, after Tournament of Destroyers, he parted ways from Goku with a friendly handshake. Even on mission, should the opponent prove capable enough, his hardened demeanor will give way somewhat to all his martial artist spirit to revel in the competition. Also, while proud and confident in his raw might, he is a firm believer that the most important aspect in any fight is skill and tactics. Even more, he is humble enough to admit to his own mistakes. In the manga, realizing his mistake in over-dependence on the same technique, Hit returned to basics, strengthening his raw might and combat skills while simultaneously developing new temporal techniques. Also while appearing indifferent to most of the fights not concerning him during the Tournament of the Destroyers and the Tournament of Power he briefly smiled upon seeing Kefla punching and overpowering Goku implying that he enjoys watching fights of exceptional quality.

Despite his profession, he does not approve of the idea of people being demeaned and treated as pawns. This is proven after Goku intentionally lost their fight to show the Gods of Destruction that they were in control of their own actions. Hit followed with Goku's method and let Team Universe 7 win by feigning defeat in the final match. Even more, he surprisingly attempts to avoid killing those he feels undeserving, as he offers Goku the option to vanish while he would report the target dead. After having clinically killed Goku for a few seconds, he was willing to part ways peacefully, as he technically completed his task, until Goku insisted they finish the fight. Hit is also shown to be very understanding, as after learning that Goku placed the contract on himself to face Hit at his best, the assassin smiled and acknowledged his further respect of the Saiyan, leaving with no regrets and patiently waiting for their next fight.

Biography

Background

Born over 1000 years ago,^[1] Hit has been an assassin for a very long time. He is famous for his highly efficient work at his job as all of his past assassinations were successfully completed. His signature for completing each assignment is to quietly kill the target in a single strike.

Dragon Ball Super

Universe 6 Saga

Main article: Universe 6 Saga

Hit is selected by Vados to be part of Team Universe 6 in order to fight in the Tournament of Destroyers against Team Universe 7. In return for joining the team, Hit is promised Champa's cube if he wins the tournament. On the day of the tournament, Hit attends the Nameless Planet with his fellow fighters: Cabba, Frost, Botamo, and Auta Magetta. Hit passes the written exam required to participate in the tournament. When the tournament begins, Hit is not interested in the other matches, as he sits back with his eyes closed and arms crossed during the first match between Goku and Botamo. Goku defeats Botamo easily by throwing him out of the ring. The next competitor for Goku is Frost. When Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan against Frost, Hit opens one of his eyes and looks at Goku for a moment and then closes them once again. Frost manages to beat Goku with poison, which was against the rules, but nobody notices except for Jaco. He advances to the next match against Piccolo, where he again uses poison, but this time Jaco reports it to the referee and gets Frost disqualified. However, Vegeta didn't want Frost to be disqualified so he could beat him himself, and so, Piccolo gives up. Hit still ignores the events occurring around him and continues to have his eyes closed, paying absolutely no interest in the matches.

Icy Glare 1 — Hit using Icy Glare against Frost

After Vegeta defeats Frost due to a ring out, Frost is outside of the barrier of the tournament. Hit notices Frost sneaking away and follows him. It turns out that Frost is trying to hijack Champa's cube and steal the treasure he is promised if he wins. Hit confronts Frost and stops him in mid-action. Frost is shocked over seeing him, but also curious if the legendary assassin was sent by Champa or even by a survivor from a planet that he destroyed. Hit attacks Frost with a mysterious technique that stuns him. Hit restates that when he wins the tournament, Champa will reward him the cube. He then goes back to the tournament grounds and carries Frost along with him.

Hit mostly remains uninterested during Vegeta and Cabba's match, only briefly opening his eyes as Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan Blue. He then shifts his eyes over to Goku on the other side of the arena, but then quickly closes his eyes. Once Vegeta defeats Cabba, Hit, being the final competitor for Team Universe 6, leaps into the ring for his match. For the majority of the battle, attacks Vegeta in his vitals while using his Time-Skip, much to the confusion of everyone in the arena, including Vegeta - who in the manga had the additional disadvantage of having access to only 10% of his full power due to showing his Super Saiyan Blue form to Cabba. Hit then tells Vegeta that he should surrender. After his first barrage of attacks on Vegeta, Hit puts his hands in his pockets and looks down on Vegeta, as if to tell him that he is failing in all of his attempts of countering. During the battle, Vegeta notes that the light attacks he uses are his main weakness, and shouts to Hit that he will beat him with a head on attack, to which Hit counters with a blow to the abdomen. Vegeta then faints from the injuries he sustained. Hit then asks the referee what he should do if killing is illegal, which the referee confirms, as Vegeta couldn't surrender while unconscious. The referee then declares Hit the winner. Goku returns in the tournament for his match against Hit, since being illegally taken out by Frost.

As the bell is rung, Goku then bows to Hit, to which Hit is genuinely surprised. Hit then asks Goku why he does not transform, and Goku responds by saying that it uses a lot of stamina, so he will save it for later in the match. Goku tells Hit that he will wait to transform until he figures out a way to beat him. Hit responds by saying how incredibly young and naive Goku must be to reveal his plan so easily. The fight then begins, with Goku getting a firm kick to the abdomen by Hit's attack. After a few failed attempts to land a blow on him, Goku is still unable to counter Hit's attacks. Hit then tells Goku that his attempts are futile, and that no matter how strong he is, if he continues to get hit in his vitals, he will die, and that he should surrender. Goku tells Hit he won't surrender, since he figured out a way to counter his attacks. Goku then stances himself, and charges at Hit, and for the first time, Goku is able to block Hit's Time-Skip attack. Goku then uses the opportunity and swipes at Hit, causing him to bleed. Hit is shocked, but then dismisses the wound as a fluke. Goku then attacks Hit two more times and is able to deflect his counterattacks. He manages to land a kick on Hit, which Hit manages to block in the last second, with Hit being genuinely surprised. Goku reveals that since his Time-Skip lasts one-tenth of a second, Goku easily was able to predict Hit's moves after the technique was used.

Goku vs Hit FC — Hit fights Super Saiyan God Goku

Hit then takes his hands out of his pockets, realizing that he will have to fight seriously, and Goku states he will use his full power as well, transforming into a Super Saiyan Blue in the anime and a normal Super Saiyan in the manga. In the manga the two continue to fight, and though Goku has the advantage in power he is troubled by Hit's Time-Skip as constantly predicting his attack pattern caused his energy to drain at an accelerated rate. In response transforms further into a Super Saiyan God.

In response Hit uses his full power - which he notes will last for less than a minute due to his lack of having to use it. The two are equal until Goku then transforms to Super Saiyan Blue and starts attacking Hit. Hit then retaliates with his Time-Skip but to no avail. Goku then continues to outmatch Hit and in the manga forfeits when he realizes that the fight is not fair due to the rules.

Time-Skip Molotov — Hit attacking Goku with his further enhanced Time-Skip

In the anime after Goku kicks Hit, Hit begins to scream and starts to show his ki, pretending to raise his power level but simply mimicking how Goku powered up. Just as Goku is about to land a blow to Hit, he uses his improved Time-Skip and lands a very powerful blow to Goku's abdomen, which causes Goku to temporarily collapse to the ground from pain. Hit asks the referee once again if killing is allowed, to which the referee says no once again, and just as Hit is about to be declared the winner, Goku states that he is alright, and gets up once again. Goku then says that he needs to use his new technique, which he intended to use against Beerus, and only had a ten percent chance of working. Goku then starts powering up with a red glow around his normal Super Saiyan Blue aura.

SSBKKGokuVShit — Goku attacks Hit while using Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken

After sufficiently powering up, Goku reveals his trump card: the Kaio-ken and provides a short explanation of the technique to Hit. Goku and Hit then collide, with Hit trying to attack Goku with his time-skip. Goku counters Hit's attack despite being mid Time-Skip, much to the latter's surprise, explaining his power has surpassed Hit's time-skip. Goku then feels his body decreasing in power and fires a Kamehameha, which Hit appears to be struggling to fight against. The energy released from both fighters causes the dome to begin to crack and forces Whis and Vados to protect the audience and restore the dome. When the smoke clears both fighters are still on the arena and Hit reveals that while the Kamehameha was being fired, he increased his time skip further and avoided being captured in its blast.

Hit then launches a volley of attacks at Goku with his Time-Skip. As Goku falls, appearing to be defeated, he powers up again and lands a blow to Hit. Both fighters are seen kneeling as Goku's strength and physical body are going into a worse condition. Goku then asks Beerus to allow for killing in the tournament, since Goku believes that Hit's true strength lies in when he is forced to kill others. Beerus objects to this, but Champa says the fight showed such a good display of sportsmanship, and to allow killing in the tournament. Beerus objects, saying it is only to help Champa's team, and Champa objects saying that Goku suggested this in the first place. As both complain, Goku notes how selfish both are, and Hit agrees by saying they think the fighters are just pawns in their game. Goku then rebels against Champa and Beerus by landing outside of the ring, making Hit the winner.

Monaka is the next and final contestant for Team Universe 7. After Monaka enters the ring, Champa quickly begins the final match. Hit notices that Monaka is shaking. Monaka attempts to attack Hit but Hit is unfazed by his attack. After this, Hit dramatically screams and flies out of the ring, purposely losing the match. While Goku is congratulated by his friends, Hit says that both Goku and Hit are now even, as he returns to his platform. Hit then tells Vados and Champa that he no longer has interest in the cube and commands to be taken home.

Universe610 — Hit and Goku shaking hands

Champa is then filled with anger and prepares a ki ball, preparing to kill Hit. Champa expresses his frustration with Hit for continuously disobeying his orders and purposely losing the last round, so he will not allow Hit to leave alive. Cabba attempts to reason with Champa but does not succeed, with Champa saying how all of the fighters embarrassed and humiliated him with their pathetic fights. While Champa attempts to kill Hit and his teammates, Vados alerts Champa that Zeno is present in the ring. Thanks to Zeno scaring Champa and Beerus, all the members of Team Universe 6 were able to keep on living. Before leaving for their respective universes, Hit and Goku shared a handshake, promising to fight each other again one day.

"Future" Trunks Saga

Main article: "Future" Trunks Saga Hit makes a cameo appearance during the "Future" Trunks Saga, where Gowasu and Zamasu were watching footage of his match against Super Saiyan Blue Goku during the Tournament of Destroyers.

Hit done with boss — Hit throws away the necklace he stole from the mob boss

Hit receives an assignment to eliminate a mob boss in Universe 6, easily accomplishing his task without anyone knowing thanks to his Time-Skip. After disposing of the mob boss's necklace, he checks his assignment device to find out who his next target is, and is noticeably excited to see that it is Goku, crushing the device before heading to Universe 7 (completely unaware that it was Goku who asked Whis, who then asked Vados to hire Hit in order for Goku to fight Hit at his fullest, deadliest level).

Goku beats Hit — Goku breaking through Hit's Tides of Time

Hit meets up with Goku, and tells him that his attacks will no longer work on him. Hit's body emits a purple outline when Goku charges towards him and throws a flurry of punches and kicks that just go through him, like he was not there. A shocked Goku then tries to fire a ki blast, but Hit throws a punch in front of him which creates a shock wave that caves in a circular hole on Goku's left side of his chest that stops his heart. As Goku collapses to the ground dying, Hit flies up into the air but stops and heads back to finish Goku after learning that he is still alive due to a ki blast that Goku had fired earlier and follows Goku into a forest.

Here, Goku begins to learn how Hit's assassination techniques are working and on the third try is finally able to completely block and stop them and was able to scratch Hit, to which isn't surprise but rather happy and is enjoying his fight with Goku. After Vados reveals that Hit actually stores up the time he skips and is able to use this to move around in pocket dimensions to appear in multiple places at once. Goku having figured this out already powers up to maximum which causes the pocket dimension that Hit falls back into to counter Goku's attack to shatter, revealing where Hit actually is to Goku. Hit attempts to pull it back together but was unable to do so and is hit by Goku's God Kamehameha head on and both of them collapse out of exhaustion. Afterwards, Hit learns that Goku was the one who hired him to kill him which initially confused Hit who admits Goku is more complex then he is able to comprehend and asks Goku if there was a time limit to complete his mission, which Goku denies. Hit takes his leave after claiming there were too many witnesses and smiles as he told Goku he would take his time to kill him and should watch his back.

Universe Survival Saga

Hit Frost — Hit recruits Frost for the Tournament of Power

In the anime, Hit tracks down Frost to recruit him for the tournament, but the latter mistakes it for an assassination attempt and attacks him. After a brief scuffle, Hit defeats Frost but instead of killing him, he spares his life and compliments his improved skill. Hit then recruits Frost but makes him lose the poison tip on his tail and knees, at the risk of being erased.

After arriving at the tournament arena Hit talks with Goku. In the manga Hit states that he has gotten stronger than before and will not lose to Goku in the same way he did last time.

Mqdefault live — Hit destroys Narirama's arm

In the anime, as the tournament began, Hit, alongside Basil, stopped Narirama from spinning around the stage by stomping on his extendable arms. After Universe 9 was erased by Zeno and Future Zeno, Hit went back to fighting in the tournament and was about to fight Vegeta again until he was blocked by Botamo, who was walking towards the Saiyans with him at the time. Hit knocks Narirama out of the ring with a single flick during a Time-skip. Hit saves Caulifla from getting caught in the crossfire after Kale turns into her Legendary Super Saiyan form. Hit is next seen more concerned about Kale disqualifying herself by killing someone than of his own safety. After Jiren knocks Kale out, Hit prepares himself to hold the Pride Trooper off to give Caulifla and Kale some time to escape. However, Goku appears and distracts Jiren, as Hit uses this as an opportunity to tell Caulifla to carry Kale away allowing them to perform a tactical retreat.

Jiren eliminates Hit — Jiren uppercuts Hit off the arena

In the manga, Hit encounters Jiren five minutes into the tournament, like with his prior battle with Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Hit's Time-Skip proves ineffective against Jiren and he is quickly knocked down. Goku, having transformed into Perfected Super Saiyan Blue, arrives to help Hit but he too proves no match for Jiren, as Jiren is about to knock Goku off the edge, Hit knocks Jiren away with a surprise kick, surprising Goku who thought Hit could not fight without Time-Skip. Hit removes the lower part of his coat, explaining he no longer relies on Time-Skip to it's ineffectiveness. Now acting as a true fighter Hit once again engages Jiren but still proves unable to budge him, Goku takes part in the battle but still the two warriors prove no match as Jiren handles them with ease, not changing his expression. Hit reveals to Goku that he has a new special technique which he can only use once: Time Lag, he requests that Goku aid him in defeating Jiren when he uses the technique, but Goku refuses, saying he will beat Jiren on his own by achieving a power greater than Super Saiyan Blue. Hit still opts to fight anyway, he hits Jiren with the Time Lag, slowing his movements and allowing Hit to seemingly gain an advantage over him, Hit pushes Jiren back to the edge of the arena, however as they reach the edge Goku realizes that it's a trap and that Jiren was simply baiting Hit to the edge, Goku tries to warn Hit, however he is too late and Jiren suddenly speeds up, uppercutting Hit out of the arena, eliminating him with a single blow. Hit arrives in the stands, regretting that he was not strong enough to defeat Jiren.

Super Saiyan God Goku and Hit — Hit and Super Saiyan God Goku

In the anime, Hit then confronted Dyspo and prepared themselves to fight each other. Hit attempts to use his Time Skip but was countered by Dyspo. Hit tries again and is once again countered. Hit realizes the Dyspo is using his ears to listen to his muscles as they tense up for his Time Skip and use his Light Bullet to attack. Hit tries for a third time and is knocked back and mocked by Dyspo. Hit then attacks him normally and K'nsi believes it to be an easy victory however Jiren looks on concerned for Dyspo and Top mentions Hit is actually dodging the major blows and allowing himself to be hit sometimes. Top realizes Hit is up to something and asks K'nsi to save Dyspo. At this time Hit is knocked back to the edge of the ring and Dyspo charges believing he has beaten him but Hit successfully uses hit Time Skip to move and Dyspo falls from the ring but is saved from being eliminated by K'nsi who says they will fight together.

Hit not impressed tells them to bring it. Hit begins to beat back Dyspo again but K'nsi holds him with his Energy Threads so Dyspo can get in his hits with no resistance. Caulifla, angered at the Pride Troopers for using such tactics begins to go and help but instead Super Saiyan God Goku arrives and stops Dyspo. Hit then assures that Goku is helping him, only for him to reply that he only came due to his body responding. Goku engages Dyspo while Hit deals with K'nsi. K'nsi beholds him his bombs. Hit then uses his Flash Crush Fist and nearly kills K'nsi with it, much to his horror. Hit then switches with Goku and goes back after Dyspo and actually lands a massive blow to Dyspo. Shocked, Hit explains he flexed and tensed the muscles he uses for his Time Skip to open him up so he could hit him, much to Dyspo's shock. Hit then overwhelms K'nsi, and then Dyspo. Meanwhile, K'nsi pulls himself out of the rubble after Goku punched him through some debris and saves Dyspo. As he tried to sacrifice himself by taking the assassin down with him, Hit counters by using his newly enhanced Time Skip to get behind him and punch him clear out of the ring, eliminating him. Dyspo runs off after. Hit and Goku come face to face promise to settle things between them later on.

"My power won't last long enough to keep him frozen until the end. Then I'll just have to put all my chips on the table! Even though gambling is not very assassin like. I'll finish it with this hit! Making Universe 6 win is my job!"

In the anime, further on in the tournament, Hit, alongside the other fighters, watches Goku's new form combat Jiren's own strength. He saves Goku from further damage by Jiren when the former loses hold of his new form and is defeated by the latter's Power Impact, although Jiren easily catches Hit's punch. Hit and Jiren began their battle, though Jiren blocks all of Hit's attacks and counter his Time-Skip as well, much to Hit and Champa's shock. Hit is then eventually cornered by Jiren and is seemingly defeated. However, Hit reveals he has been allowing himself to be hit to study Jiren's style and knows enough to land one major blow to beat him. Hit finally lands an attack on Jiren, who is stunned that he was almost knocked out of the ring. Hit reveals his attack has another purpose and is his trump card that paralyzes Jiren's body. However, seeing that he can't hold Jiren much longer, who is still able to move his body, Hit goes for a final attack. But Jiren manages to stop it with his barrier and escape from the paralysis.

Hit is then sent flying out of the ring by Jiren's Power Impact. There, Champa tells Hit that he did a good job, and his intentions would help the other warriors from Universe 6. The tournament reaches it's halfway point as Hit is defeated. Hit watches in silence as his remaining teammates battle for the survival of their universe. He is eventually erased from existence with the rest of Universe 6 after Saonel and Pilina are eliminated by Gohan and Piccolo.

Hit is later revived with his universe when Android 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect all of the universes that were erased.

Universal Conflict Saga

HitHeroesEpisode7 — Hit uses his Time Skip on Oren

In the anime, on Planet Sadala, Hit fights along side the Saiyans, Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale against the Core Area Warriors, Kamin, and Oren. Hit first battles Kamin and slowly gets pushed back by the barrage of attacks coming his way. When Oren comments on how tough Hit appears, he swaps places with his sister and attacks Hit in her place. Hit attempts to use his Time Skip but it has no effect on Oren who instead appears behind Hit and grabs him in a choke hold telling Hit that he has been input with information about him. Hit elbows him in the stomach and throws him, catching him with a energy blast which causes Oren some pain. However, Oren's damage quickly regenerates, and he attacks him back with a Smash Break that cause Hit to fall to one knee. Before being caught in another blast, Vegeta and Future Trunks arrive to assist them and then watches as the battle unfolds.

When Oren takes over the body of Caulifla, Hit is taken down once again by the Smash Break technique. Hit soon joins back into the action and along with Trunks buys time for Vegeta who powers up a Final Flash which he prepares to fire at the Tuffleized Saiyans. They leave their host before the blast lands on them though it still makes contact with Hit and the others. Injured, he along with everyone else is then pinned to the ground by a gravitational force belonging to Hearts. Before Hearts leaves for the next universe, he asks Hit who the strongest mortal in all the universes is. Hit does not answer him, but Hearts reads his mind to determine the answer is Jiren.

In the manga, Hit faces Fused Zamasu in a one-on-one battle, the two avoid each other's blows until Hit finally manages to land a heavy blow on Fused Zamasu, however the attack has no effect no him. Hearts arrives in the area and asks Hit who the strongest being in the entire multiverse is, Hit does not give him an answer but can't help from thinking of Jiren which gives Hearts the knowledge he requires due to his mind-reading capabilities. Hit goes to attack Hearts, but his Time-Skip is completely ineffective against him. Fused Zamasu then stabs Hit from behind. After the battle Cabba helps Hit recover.

In the anime, when Fused Zamasu creates a Barrier of Light in order to attack Jiren, he finds himself frozen in place by Hit's Time-Skip having been teleported to Universe 7 after his own Supreme Kai, Fuwa, hired him to take out the Core Area Warriors. Hit punches Zamasu and joins the side of Jiren and Goku. The three attempt to take on Zamasu before being pushed back by a pulse from the newly completed Universe Seed. After Hearts re-appears and kills Zamasu, Hit attempts to face him along with the others but is taken down multiple times with ease. Hit joins Jiren in an attempt to take Hearts down while Goku and Vegeta begin the process of fusing into Gogeta.

Harmonic Kamehameha 1 — Hit, Jiren, and Gogeta's combined attack

During the proceeding battle, Hearts summons the God Meteor and sends it straight for Earth. Gogeta tries valiantly to hold the meteor off but as he begins to struggle, Hit along with Jiren join the fused warrior's side and fire powerful blasts of their own. The combined attack successfully destroys the meteor and Gogeta goes on to destroy Hearts. Hit declares that his job is done as peace finally returns to Earth.

Supreme Kai of Time Saga

Main article: Supreme Kai of Time Saga

Hit is invited to the Space-Time tournament where he joins Goku's team. During the tournament he faces off against Hirudegarn. Thanks to Yamcha capturing a Time Fairy, his team makes it through the first round.

During the second round, he along with teammates Vegeta and Yamcha are sent to Planet Glass where they face off against Vidro of the Glass People, attempting to acquire the Time Fairy in her possession in order to win the second round.

Hit faces the warrior alone and overpowers her, citing that the gap between their powers is too much. As he attempts to kill her, Yamcha fires a Spirit Ball at him saying that enemy or not it is not right for him to kill her. Annoyed, Hit instead tries to kill Yamcha for getting in his way, but the blast is blocked by a barrier created by the Female Warrior who chooses to defend him due to being moved by his kindness.

Power

Manga and Anime

Hit is the ace warrior of Universe 6, having been picked for his team in both the Tournament of Destroyers and Tournament of Power, being the strongest among them at the Tournament of Destroyers. In the anime, even after witnessing Kale's newfound Legendary Super Saiyan form, Hit was still considered the strongest of Team Universe 6. Unlike most fighters who can manipulate their ki, Hit rarely relies on energy blasts and instead he focuses on close-range hand-to-hand combat. He wears his long flowing jacket and keeps his hands in his pockets to better mask his sudden movements. When holding back, his style of combat revolves mainly in a basic but solid fighting stance. Once serious, his style becomes more akin to Wing Chun. His main tactic in battle is precise and quick jabs to various vital points or a quick finished with his Phoenix Eye Fist. Hit's true strength lies in his killing techniques, as such his efficiency is greatly impeded when he refrains from killing.

During the Tournament of Destroyers, Hit was completely unimpressed even by the stronger people in the tournament; he wasn't truly interested, relaxing with his eyes closed, until he witnessed Vegeta's Super Saiyan Blue form. Once facing Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, Hit effortlessly overpowered Vegeta (while not powered up in the manga), swiftly defeated him without much effort - however, this was largely because Vegeta had no knowledge of Hit's Time-Skip and Vegeta's repeated use of Super Saiyan Blue drained the majority of his energy.

Improved Hit vs SSB Kaioken Goku — Hit fights evenly against Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken Goku.

Against Goku, while initially effortlessly overpowering him, the foe quickly adapted to Hit's Time-Skip tactics, forcing him to fight seriously. In the manga, Super Saiyan Goku was noted to be stronger than Hit without powering up, but the strain of reacting to Hit's Time-Skip attacks was steadily dropping Goku's stamina faster than he could harm Hit. Against Goku's Super Saiyan God form, Hit's Time-Skip is greatly deluded due to Goku's far higher power, as with the form Goku surpassed Hit's power at the time. In response, Hit uses his full power (which only lasts for a minute), at which point he is once again able to stop Goku. However, when Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan Blue (and utilizes the form's explosive full power in that instant) Hit is completely outmatched in power once more and his Time-Skip is negated again, though he still proves capable of dodging Goku's Kamehameha enough that he only took damage to one side of his body and was ready to continue the battle.

In the anime, as Goku continued to pressure Hit, the assassin proved able to instinctively improve in battle far faster and more efficiently that Goku, imprinting on the experience to increase the potency and time limit of his Time-Skip each time Goku managed to rebound against him, ultimately reaching half a second. When Goku countered with his Kaio-ken to which Hit was almost unable to track the Saiyan, Goku's power nullified Hit's Time-Skip and he claimed he could finish Hit in one blow. However, Hit improved his Time-Skip ability to the point that it is able to freeze Goku inside the Time-Skip and thus dodge the punch. Hit is greatly outclassed in strength (as a single regular punch from Goku did far more damage to Hit than Hit's strongest attack did to Goku), but his Time-Skip allowed him to hold his own. Ultimately however, Goku admitted that had Hit not been holding back due to his style being meant for killing opponents, Hit would probably have beat him. After the match it was shown that Hit greatly fears Champa's power, as he was immediately terrorized over the fact that the God of Destruction was willing to destroy him.

Later, in the anime only, during the "Future" Trunks Saga, Hit demonstrated how much more fearsome he is when fight with intention to kill as when hired to kill Goku, he technically killed Goku in a single blow from his Phoenix Eye Fist, only failing as Goku resuscitated himself with his own blast. During their second exchange. Hit was able to gain the edge using the Tides of Time. Goku noted that Hit was incomparable to how he was at the tournament. Ultimately, thanks to his killing techniques and being able to stay inside the Tides of Time, Hit proved to be able to fight with Super Saiyan Blue Goku at full strength as the fight ended in a stalemate.

During the Universe Survival Saga, in the anime, Hit quickly overwhelms Frost after a brief struggle but admits that he had to get serious for a bit in order to dodge Frost's attacks. In the manga, prior to the start of the Tournament of Power, Hit reveals he has trained since the previous tournament, to the point that he can maintain his full power and fight without restraints even while not using any killing techniques and believes that as such he will not lose as he did last time. In the tournament, Hit's kick easily broke Narirama's arm and effortlessly defeated him. Against Jiren, Hit viewed him as a "disturbing presence" and chose to instead retreat, showing he viewed Jiren as too much for him.

Against Dyspo in the anime, Hit was one-sidedly beaten by the Sonic Warrior, due to Dyspo's Light Bullet and enhanced hearing, allowing him to hear Hit's muscle movements, then swiftly strike him before he uses Time-Skip. When Hit stopped using Time-Skip, Top noted that Hit was studying and adapting to Dyspo's fighting style - and Hit proved to be able to avoid critical damage. Once fully adjusted to his opponent, the tables were turned as Hit counters Dyspo's fighting style, convincingly feigning usage of Time-Skip to throw off Dyspo and to catch him off guard. Using this strategy, Hit's Time-Skip is unpredictable to the confused Dyspo, allowing Hit to freely use Time-Skip and defeat the Sonic Warrior with ease.

In the anime, even with his evolved Time-Skip, Hit was overwhelmed by the suppressed Jiren's immense power, able to repeatedly counter Hit's attacks due to the extreme gap in between them deluding the Time-Skip's effectiveness, even easily blocking Hit's Phoenix Eye Fist. Hit was however able to take several of his foes heavy blows, which were at the same level as those Jiren had previously used against Goku. At the same time, Hit was able to keep up with the Pride Trooper, surprising Top, despite the huge power difference as he effectively blocked the majority of Jiren's initial assaults. While the continuous exchanges between them whittled away at Hit's stamina, Hit was gradually able to adapt to Jiren's fighting style, making an opening that allowed him to land a solid blow that sent him flying through rubble - though Jiren was not hurt by the attack. While the initial attack appeared to have failed it had actually set the cage of time on Jiren. Using his cage of time, Hit was able to briefly hold Jiren still. However, the Pride of Universe 11 managed to break free using his raw power, albeit with significant effort. As Hit attempted to finish the restrained foe, the mightiest Pride Trooper stopped Hit in his tracks with just a glance from his eyes. Hit was then easily overpowered and knocked out of the arena by Jiren. Before he went into meditation, Jiren seemingly acknowledged Hit as one of the warriors he was needed for.

In the manga, using Time-Skip Hit is initially easily taken down by Jiren and has to be saved by Goku. Hit explains to Goku that Time-Skip failed against Jiren in the same way it had previously against Goku. As Goku is about to be knocked out of the ring by Jiren, Hit knocks Jiren back with a surprise kick. Hit reveals that thanks to training he no longer needs to rely on his Time-Skip to hold his own. Removing the lower part of his long coat, Hit attacks Jiren, however he is easily beaten back, being unable to even move Jiren even when teamed up with Perfected Super Saiyan Blue Goku. Hit uses Time Lag on Jiren and challenges him alone once more, Hit gains an advantage due to Jiren's slowed time and manages to push him back, however Jiren had not been fighting seriously - having been allowing Hit to move him towards the edge - and proceeds to power up slightly and easily knock Hit out of the arena with a single blow.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes

In the anime, against Oren and Kamin, while the two foes each were able to overwhelm the duo of Super Saiyan C-type Kale and Super Saiyan Caulifla, Hit proved able to fight on par against each foe while even landing some noticeable damage on them. However, as the foes demonstrated accelerated recovery powers, an exhausted Hit was soon overwhelmed himself, saved only by the timely arrival of Vegeta and Future Trunks. After recovering, Hit was able to fend off the Tufflized Super Saiyan Oren-Caulifla and hold the mutated foe down long enough for Vegeta's Final Flash to hit the target while he managed to escape the blast.

Later, he is personally by Fuwa go to Universe 7 to help battle the Core Area Warriors. There, he proves able to catch Fused Zamasu off guard and land a mighty blow on his face, enraging the rogue god.

Hit vs Zamasu — Hit clashes with Fused Zamasu

In the manga, fighting Fused Zamasu, Hit manages to land a heavy uppercut thanks to his Time-Skip, though it is completely ineffectual due to Zamasu's immortality. Even with Time-Skip, Hit is easily overwhelmed by Hearts and is soon after pierced through the chest by Fused Zamasu. However, in his next confrontation with Hearts Hit was capable of landing two hits on the Core Area Warrior having been able to find a counter to Hearts' mind reading by thinking of an attack before switching to another one while skipping time.

Hit was among the warriors recruited for the Super Space-Time Tournament. He is shown to be able to handle and strike Hirudegarn in the first phase. During the second phase of the tournament, Hit easily overpowers Vidro, exclaiming that the power gap between them is "too much".

Statements by guidebooks and authors

According to the January 2017 V-Jump article's rival danger scale, Hit ranks as a six out of twelve.^[4]

Hit was one of the top warriors at the Tournament of Power, which he proved by fighting another of the top warriors: Dyspo.^[5]

Abilities

Longevity - Despite his appearance, Hit is of tremendous age at over 1,000 years old. Also, despite his advanced age, he is still well in the prime of his capacities.
Flight - The ability to take flight through the manipulation of ki.
Ki Blast - The most basic form of energy attack. Used by Hit in Xenoverse 2.
Ki Sense - Hit can sense the ki of other beings as well. He is able to sense Godly ki as shown when Goku powered up his Kaio-ken alongside his Super Saiyan Blue form, Hit was able to sense his power rising. In Xenoverse 2, he can sense the overwhelming pressure of Universe 6 Angel Vados' Godly ki when confronting her in battle.
Telepathy - Hit demonstrates telepathy when he mentally warns Hearts not to attack the Supreme Kais of Time. It is unknown if Hit could already use the ability before encountering Hearts, or if he imprinted on the technique after Hearts used his own version of telepathy on him during the Universal Conflict Saga.
Vital Point Attack - Hit's primary method of attack. He attacks using the Phoenix Eye Fist method of punching in order to focus all of the energy from his blows into one point, thus increasing their effectiveness. Hit aims only for his opponent's vital spots, allowing him to take down his opponents without much effort, even if they are stronger than he is. As shown in his fights with Goku and Vegeta, he can choose how strongly he hits the vital spot, allowing him to avoid overly injuring or killing a foe. This technique, combined with his Time-Skip ability, is proven to be deadly.
Time-Skip - Hit's signature technique where he can manipulate time and skip it for a tenth of a second. In that time, Hit moves freely to block and counterattack, usually going for the vitals. Hit can also go into the Parallel World in combination with Time Skip as seen in his fight with Dyspo. In the manga, he stops primarily relying on it prior to the Tournament of Power due to it's flaws.
- Deadly Intent - A stance Hit takes where he puts his hands in his pockets to conceal his movements before using Time-Skip to strike his opponent. Noted to be part of his fighting style in his fight with Goku in the manga. Named in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
- Icy Glare - Hit looks at his opponent then he quickly uses Time-Skip to assault the opponent. From the opponent's perspective, Hit doesn't seem to be moving at all. He used this attack to defeat Frost.
- Time-Skip/Jump Spike - Hit charges towards the opponent and directly punches them.
- Time-Skip/Tremor Pulse - Hit teleports behind the opponent and kicks them.
- Time-Skip/Flash Skewer - Hit stands in place and punches the opponent directly in the face.
- Time-Skip/Back Breaker - Hit turns around and counters his opponent's attack to land a heavy finish on them.
- Time-Skip/Molotov - Hit's ultimate attack, he uses Time-Skip and then quickly assaults his opponent with a full on barrage of punches.
- Time Freeze - In the anime, as Hit continued to improve his performance, he was able to refine his Time-Skip to rather than jump ahead momentarily in time, completely freeze the progression of time around him, enabling him to dodge virtually any attack.
- Ultimate Time-Skip - The super attack of Hit - without the lower part of his long coat - in Dragon Ball Heroes.
Sledgehammer - The user cups their hands together and reels back, then slams their fists on the opponent.

Tides of Time — Goku unable to attack Hit

Tides of Time - In the anime, Hit possess a personal dimension created with the skipped time Hit stores upon using Time-Skip over the entire course of his existence. He can even bring others into his dimension while the rest of time stood frozen.
- Intangibility - Hit is able to transfer his physical body to his parallel world in order to avoid opponents' attacks, but he still appears in the ordinary world. Hit cannot physically attack an opponent while remaining intangible, he can still attack using his invisible energy blasts.
Time Lag - Hit's ultimate technique in the manga, with it he is able to slow his opponent's time - decreasing their movement speed.
Vacuum Survival - In the anime, Hit is shown able to survive in the vacuum of space.
Full Power - In the manga, Hit is capable of powering up to his full power (which is comparable to a Super Saiyan God's power), however due to his lack of using it much he can only stay at full power for a minute. This was rectified by the Tournament of Power, having reconditioned himself since battling Goku.
Killing Techniques - Hit possess several specialized techniques intended for usage in his job as an assassin.
- Ki Clones - When moving around, Hit is able to leave duplicates of his ki, in order to make it hard to track him. Used in the anime.
- Flash Fist Crush - A deadly variant of the Time-Skip combined with a warping technique similar to Phantom Fist.
  - Time Release - In the anime, Hit displays a killing variant of this technique where invisible energy blasts (through a punching motion) with enough force to kill an opponent if he hits a vital spot. This attack is near-invisible and passes through matter thanks to it traveling through the Time-Storage world, making it very hard to detect. He can also manifest and release these energy blasts in any direction he chooses.
    - Time Prison - In the anime, by striking an opponent after having continually used Time-Skip, Hit is able to attach a "time cage" to them, it initially appears as a strange effect on his opponent where they were struck before taking effect: ensnaring their movements by keeping them suspended in time.
Energy Wave - Used to damage Oren.
Finger Beam - Only in the Universe 6 Saga opening in Dragon Ball Super, Hit is shown using this. However, Hit is never seen using this otherwise.
Instant Rise - A variation of Rapid Movement used by Hit as his Evasive Skill in Xenoverse 2.

In the anime, Hit claims that he cannot increase his power through transformations like other fighters do, and must instead increase his skill to grow stronger. In the video games, however, Hit's state of being while improving himself are considered separate forms, despite not being accompanied by any real physical change to his body.

Awoken

Awoken Hit is a state achieved by Hit after awakening his true power.

In the anime, this state is achieved after Hit improves his Time-Skip and thus allows him to keep improving via the Pure Progress ability.

In the manga, Hit does not get any self-improvement abilities and instead simply goes to his Full Power in this state - which during the Tournament of Destroyers was comparable to Super Saiyan God Goku's power.

Hit Pure Progress — Hit uses Pure Progress

In the anime, after going into his Awoken state, Hit possess the ability to improve his skills and techniques as he fights a more powerful foe. With it, his Time-Skip increases to a fifth of a second, then increase even further to half a second, and finally he gains the ability to manually freeze a foe who can still move in time.

Pure Progress appears as an Awoken Skill transformation in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Villainous Mode

In the Battle With Universe Six Saga in Xenoverse 2, Hit is inexplicably enchanted and empowered with the fourth stage Villainous Mode which shaves off life to grant greater power. While using this power up Hit eyes glow pink along with a black and white aura. Unlike Cabba and Frost, Hit's power up simply dissipates once his enchanted allies were defeated, though it is unclear if his fight with SSGSS Goku caused the power up to fade.

Assignment Device - A small, handheld device kept by Hit in his pocket. It is a square chip with a green projector button that glows blue when pressed, displaying Hit's next assassination target. It is likely that Hit has access to multiple devices, as he has no problem crushing one in his fist from excitement when Goku is displayed as one of his targets.
In the manga, the lower half of Hit's trenchcoat is shown to be detachable via his belt in the manga, acting as a cover for his legs so his opponent cannot read his movements when he uses Time-Skip. Hit's common stance of having his hands in his pockets allows him to control the lower coat and keep it from moving when he does to further keep his opponent in the dark. Shedding the lower coat compromises this advantage, but allows Hit to fight more efficiently, most notably before the Tournament of Power, due to training geared to make Hit less reliant on his Time-Skip ability. In the game version of the Universal Conflict Saga, Hit remains without the lower part of his coat.

Hit makes his debut in a video game and as a playable character in Dragon Ball Heroes, introduced in the seventh mission of the God Mission series (GDM7).

Skirtless Hit — Hit without the lower part of his outfit in *Heroes*

In Xenoverse 2, Hit is the 1st out of the 4 characters that can be obtained by making a wish to Shenron for more playable characters, the others being Eis Shenron, Nuova Shenron and Omega Shenron. His Super Skill Flash Fist Crush can be obtained by wishing for more Supers and his Ultimate Skill Time-Skip/Molotov can be obtained by wishing for more Ultimate Attacks. His Awoken variation is unlocked as free DLC after the 1.05.00 update, though Hit must be unlocked via Shenron to access it.

Hit's name comes from the English word "hit" and "hitman". In his character design notes, it is said that his name suggests danger.
His name also contains the first part of the Japanese word for “assassin”, hitokiri.
Hit has purple blood.
Despite being so powerful, Hit has seemingly no traditional ki attacks in his arsenal.
Hit is the fourth known being to have the ability to manipulate time (fifth if counting King Kai in the Ocean Group dubs); the first being Guldo, the second being Chronoa the Supreme Kai of Time, and the third one being Whis.
Hit is the second assassin to have fought Goku in the series, the first being Mercenary Tao.
Hit is also the second tournament fighter in the anime where Goku ends up combining a Super Saiyan transformation with the Kaio-ken power up (in Hit's case Goku uses the Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken) in order to fight them, the first being when he used the Super Kaio-ken on Pikkon in the Other World Tournament.
Hit is the third character in the franchise to make Goku shake in fear during a battle, with the other two being Raditz and Frieza.
Hit is the fourth character in the series to kill Goku. The others being Piccolo, Cell, and Goku Black. In the franchise, he is the fifth due to Frieza killing Goku after time is altered in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
In Xenoverse 2, if an Earthling Future Warrior has Hit as their instructor, he initially deems their race unremarkable in power. After completing all of his training, he changes his mind and states that while they are not as strong as the other races, they make up for it by keeping their wits about them as they fight.
In the anime, Hit is the only member of Team Universe 6 who wasn't eliminated by a member of Team Universe 7 in the Tournament of Power. Instead, he was eliminated by Jiren, a member of Team Universe 11.
