Goodbye, Dragon World
The world's greatest heroes have fallen, absorbed by the ever more powerful Boo, who has slaughtered everyone on the planet. Only Goku remains alive to fight…but even his strength will not be enough, unless he uses the Fusion Earrings to permanently merge with another warrior! Who will he choose…and when the dust has cleared, who or what will he become? On earth, among the stars, and in Boo's body, the last battle rages![1]
Story[]
Son Goku was Earth's greatest hero, and the Dragon Balls—which can grant any wish—were Earth's greatest treasure. After many adventures, Goku finally died saving the world from the monstrous Cell, but he left behind two sons, Gohan and Goten. Then the Earth was invaded by a new enemy, Boo the Djinn. It looked like only Gohan could stop Boo…until Boo absorbed the power from the other heroes, including Goten, and made himself even stronger! Desperate, the Lord of Lords brought Goku back to life and gave him a secret weapon—the magical Potara Earrings which can merge two fighters into one. But just as Goku was about to combine with Gohan, Boo gobbled up Gohan as well! Who can save Earth now?![1]
Volume introduction by Akira Toriyama[]
"It's our final volume! I tried to keep the end low-key, almost as if the story might keep going. What do you think of it? Thanks to all of you who stuck by me through 42 volumes [continuing from the beginning of Dragon Ball–Ed.] and to everyone who sent fan mail and presents. I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Goodbye."[1]
