Golden Death Beam (ゴールデンデスビーム Gōruden Desubīmu) is the most powerful version of the Death Beam, utilized by Frieza in his Golden Frieza state.
Overview[]
Much like its original version, Frieza fires the Golden Death Beam as a crimson beam of light, piercing his opponent.
Usage[]
Golden Frieza uses the Golden Death Beam at the climax of his battle with Goku in order to kill the Saiyan, however Vegeta attacks Frieza, and so the tyrant dodges instead of finishing his attack. Frieza attempts to use the attack again to kill Goku when Vegeta passes him to Krillin, however Vegeta redirects it to Sorbet, resulting in the staff officer's death.
In the Tournament of Power, True Golden Frieza used the Golden Death Beam in conjunction with Goku's God Kamehameha, Vegeta's Final Flash, Gohan's Super Kamehameha, and Android 17's Photon Flash to form a Combined Energy Wave to defeat Agnilasa in an energy clash, forcing the fused behemoth out of the ring.
Variations[]
- Emperor's Death Beam - A rapid fire version of the Golden Death Beam.
- Great Death Beam - A barrage of Golden Death Beams fired from each finger that home in on targets, pierce through them and continue locking on to other targets.
- Cage of Light - A supportive variation of Great Death Beam.
Video Game Appearances[]
In Dragon Ball Heroes, it is named Golden Death Beam and it is used by Frieza as his super attack in his Fury Golden Frieza form.
Trivia[]
- A similar technique is used by Frieza in his final form: once against Gohan during their battle on Namek in Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. He also uses a yellow Death Beam in Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle, and in one of the promotional trailers for Dragon Ball Heroes.
