God Meteor

God Meteor (ゴッドメテオ, God Meteor) is a technique used by Hearts.

Overview[]

The user draws a five-point star to summon a massive meteor from a portal in the sky that crashes down onto the battlefield.

Usage and Power[]

Deciding that Earth and all of its people must be wiped out, Ultimate Hearts calls forth a God Meteor. Compared to its appearance in the anime, the God Meteor Hearts summons in the manga is far larger, eclipsing Earth in size.

In the anime, it is destroyed when Gogeta, Hit and Jiren use a combined attack to break through the center and the other gathered Z Fighters blast the rubble away.

In the manga, Jiren takes on his Super Full Power form to repel the force of the gravity cube holding him, Goku and Vegeta in place, allowing Goku and Vegeta to fuse into Gogeta, who promptly gave Hearts a beating and destroyed the God Meteor with his Limit Ultra Kamehameha alone. The falling rubble from the meteor was blasted away by the Z Fighters and their allies across the world.

Variations[]

God Meteor is a type of CAA Special Ability with several variations which, while performed in the same manner, have a different additional effect.

Angelic God Meteor - A variation used by Marcarita. Greatly reduces the stamina of all enemy supporters.
Arctic God Meteor - A variation used by Goku (SSGSS), Beerus, Whis. Champa, Belmod, Fused Zamasu, Chronoa, Demon Goddess Towa and Demon God Demigra. Deals 2000 damage per each enemy supporter to the enemy team.
Burning God Meteor - A variation used by Goku (SSGSS), Vegeta (SSGSS), Vegito (SSGSS), Broly (Super Saiyan 4), Whis, Vados, Dark Towa, Demon God Dabura, Demon Goddess Putine and Demon God Demigra, as well as boss versions of Beerus, Mosco, Demon Goddess Towa and Super Hearts. Reduces the enemy team's Hero Energy by the number of enemy supporters.
Crimson God Meteor - A variation used by Goku (SSGSS), Beerus, Whis, Champa, Heles, Marcarita and Fused Zamasu, as well as a boss version of Demon God Shroom. Permanently reduces the PWR of enemy attackers by 3000 per each attacker.
Dark God Meteor - A variation used by Demon God Demigra (Transcended), as well as boss versions of Demon God Demigra, Demon God Dabura and Dark King Mechikabura (Time Power Unleashed). Deals 1000 damage per each enemy attacker to the enemy team.
Death God Meteor - A variation used by Demon God Shroom. Greatly reduces the stamina of all enemy attackers.
Demon Deity's God Meteor - A variation used by Demon God Demigra, as well as a boss version of Demon Goddess Putine. Permanently increases the CI speed of all enemy attackers.
Fusion God Meteor - A variation used by Fused Zamasu. Reduces the DMG reduction of all enemy supporters by 20% per each supporter.
Glacial God Meteor - A variation used by Vegeta (SSGSS), Beerus, Whis, Belmod, Marcarita, Chronoa and Demon God Demigra, as well as a boss version of Quitela. Reduces the PWR and GRD of all enemy supporters by 3000 per each supporter.
Hellfire God Meteor - A variation used by Vegeta (SSGSS), Beerus, Whis and Fused Zamasu. Greatly reduces the damage dealt by enemy attackers for the next round.
Ruthless God Meteor - A variation used by Vegeta (SSGSS), Beerus, Champa and Vados, as well as a boss version of Demon God Gravy. Reduces the Hero Energy of the enemy team by 3 per each enemy supporter.
Super Saiyan 4 God Meteor - A variation used by Xeno Vegeta (Super Saiyan 4). Reduces the DMG reduction of all enemy attackers by 10% per each attacker.

This technique first appears in Dragon Ball Heroes as a CAA Special Ability usable by many characters in the game.^[3]

Trivia[]

In Dr. Slump, Arale Norimaki stops a meteor from hitting Earth in the 75 Million Before Age, preventing the extinction of the Dinosaurs who Beerus claims to have destroyed. Given his ability to utilize God Meteor in Dragon Ball Heroes, it is possible that Beerus sent the Meteor to wipe out the dinosaurs, but Arale's time traveling shenanigans via Time Slipper (a time machine invented by Senbei Norimaki which does not create alternate timelines) prevented it thus explaining how Dinosaurs still exist on Earth, despite Beerus' claims to the contrary (as he presumably assumed the Meteor succeeded, unaware of Arale's intervention and/or her taboo use of a Time Machine).
- If Beerus did use God Meteor in a failed attempt to kill the dinosaurs, then he is inadvertently responsible for the creation of Earth's Moon, as Arale headbutted the meteor into orbit, inadvertently creating the Moon.
