God Bind (ゴッドバインド, Goddo Baindo) is a technique used by Goku in his Super Saiyan God and Ultra Instinct forms.

Overview

By channeling the Saiyan God power through the user's hands, the user can use the energy generated to stop an opponent in their tracks.

Usage

In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Super Saiyan God Goku used this technique against Wrathful Broly. Soon after, Broly countered this technique on Goku by overflowing his ki.

In the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, Autonomous Ultra Instinct Goku used this technique on Transformed Moro to freeze him in place so he could land a heavy blow.

Weakness

If the person upon which this technique is being utilized for restraining somehow turns out to be more powerful than the user itself then the technique can be reversed back to restrain the user itself by overflowing one's ki while also freeing oneself. This was demonstrated by Broly on Super Saiyan God Goku though it doesn't imply that Broly can execute the technique himself.

Video Game Appearances

God Bind was named in Dokkan Battle as a Super Attack for Super Saiyan God Goku, where it is followed by the Gravity Bash.

God Bind appears in Dragon Ball Legends as Super Saiyan God Goku's Special Arts Card.
