DBGT HG Part 1 Giru figurine close up

There are currently a total of 21 Giru (also known as Gill and T2006) collectibles that have been released by numerous companies to date. A gallery and the attached information appends to the official releases and genuine specifics in regards to the additional merchandise pertaining to each release.

Giru-1996-GT

DBGT Keshi series Giru figurine

  • Dragon Ball GT Keshi Gomu
  • Release date: 1996

A series of miniature quarter-priced rubber machine toys was released, much like the Ultimate Muscle series and coming in randomized colors. They are known as Dorakeshi Keshi-Gomu and are rather hard to come by. All characters in this set came in a random color and all of them were very tiny and immobile. There is a set limited to the Dragon Ball GT characters and Giru appears once in this miniature set, although the same mold appears in numerous colors, such as green or red. The mini rubber figurine comes with both hands dangling to the sides and legs spread apart. The details are quite visible, even for a mono-colored (monochrome) figurine. Characters included in this Keshi Gomu GT set are Dolltaki, Ledgic, Don Kee, Luud, Dr. Myuu, Giru, Pan, Goku, Trunks, Super Saiyan Goku, Trunks with sword, Pan in bee outfit, Super Saiyan Trunks, Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy, Mutchy Mutchy, Super Saiyan Goku and Super Saiyan Trunks attacking, and Leon for a total of 17 pieces.

Super Battle Collection Volume 29 Trunks with Giru pack

The Super Battle Collection was a triumph for the longest amount of time prior to Bandai's massive influx of releases in the mid-2000s era. Pre-2000's, there was only the Super Battle Collection scaled at the basic figure height of approximately 5 inches. Originally released in 1993, this series has seen numerous variants for specific pieces and has 42 models in the entire set. Giru appears in volume 29 of this set. The piece is very unique as it features Giru with both hands spread apart and legs in a crouching position in a celebratory and surprised motion as he stands atop a white base. Released in 1997, this specific piece comes packaged with a Trunks figure as well. The packaging front-section reads "Trunks & Gill," which is the alternate naming scheme for Giru. The packaging also features images of Trunks and Giru on the box front and a bubble allowing for the figures inside to be observed. All initial SBC pieces were released with a similar packaging, having a square box design with flaps, allowing for the figure to be removed from the packaging and easily placed back into it without damaging the box itself.

Super Battle Collection Volume 29 variant Trunks with Giru pack

The Super Battle Collection was repacked and re-released with brand new packaging design although the figures remained the same. Originally released in 1997, this Trunks and Giru 2-pack remains the same aside from the new packaging scheme. The figures still come with a similar paint job. This time, the packaging has a blue outer shading as opposed to the previous version's blue and white lining. The set is still volume 29 although the repack release date is 2003. The Giru is unique as it features a black outline for shading around the indents and placing impression on this variant. However, it still comes atop a small white base to stand on. Released in 2003, this specific packaging also features different images of Trunks and Giru as opposed to the previous version's images. All initial SBC pieces were released with a similar packaging, having a square box design with flaps, allowing for the figure to be removed from the packaging and easily placed back into it without damaging the box itself.

HG GT series 1 Trunks with Giru

The HG collection has a wide variety of characters released in numerous sets by Bandai. Giru has made an appearance in HG Collection GT Series Part 1, which was released in April, 2006. Giru appears with a victorious posture as one arm is spread out and the other is stretched backward, declaring an onward motion. The feet are also spread apart and the figurine comes with a clear base around its legs. Additionally, Giru is packaged alongside Trunks, who holds a gripped posture and both hands tightly clenched into fists with a serious and confident expression. Much like all HG Collection series figurines, the collectibles stand small in size but delivers a great deal of detail. Other pieces included in this volume release are Piccolo, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Pan with child-size Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta.

Chara Strap Pan and Giru keychain figurine

Released in November, 2006, the second series of Dragon Ball GT Chara Strap includes Super Saiyan child-size Goku, Super Saiyan Trunks, Pan holding Giru, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta, and a red Shenron (Kyukyou Dragon Ball Version), for a total of seven strap figurines to collect. Pan and Giru are seen flying in midair as Pan holds Giru with one hand and her other hand is seen flailing in the air. As all the characters come attached to a Dragon Ball, Pan and Giru are attached to the three-star Dragon Ball in this set.

Chara Puchi GT series 1 Giru figurine

The Chara Puchi GT releases by Bandai were a popular addition to previous Dragon Ball Z installments. In 2007, the next mini figure set that was released and incorporated plenty of characters from GT included Giru. In this set, all the characters came sitting on top of a mini Dragon Ball or another item (such as a space pod). Giru came sitting on a Dragon Ball and with a miniature transparent base. This piece is seen with both hands raised above its dome-shaped head and both feet kicking outward in a surprised motion. Also, the initial releases of these mini-figurines came with a small piece of candy. Others included in this same Chara Puchi GT set are Omega Shenron, Baby Vegeta, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta, Uub, Trunks, Pan, child-size Goku, and a dinosaur.

Imagination GT series Trunks with Giru diorama figurine

Released in June 2007 was the Imagination Series installment for the first GT wave. This gashapon series features an assortment of characters from "Dragon Ball GT" as highly detailed and imaginative miniature figures as diorama replicas. The lineup includes Baby in his true form battling Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta (with golden monkey emanating underneath his aura), Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, Goku and Pan which latches onto the Trunks and Giru set to make a larger diorama and all seven Shadow Dragons for a total of six possible diorama sets to collect. These are gashapon figures and are individually packaged in plastic Dragon Balls and were randomly packed into boxes of 8. Giru appears as a part of the diorama alongside Trunks as they are seen with sludge space monsters attacking around them. Giru holds onto Trunks’ back as he pulls out his gun and aims with a fierce expression. Their spaceship can also be seen in the background of the scene, adding greater detail and impact to the atmosphere. The scene is completed further when Pan and Goku are connected to the diorama, both of whom are seen physically jumping with rapid punches and kicks.

Hybrid Action Goku with Giru figure pack

Released in November, 2007, the Hybrid Action series has included Goku with Giru. Goku stands at about 90mm. This package comes with 3 pairs of interchangeable spare hands for Goku, a unique display stand, character sheet, and Giru, who happens to have a compact-able body. Giru can switch into fly mode and also have his legs detached and attached. This is the only set that offers this feature and is a very nice addition to any Hybrid Action series collection. Additionally, Goku comes with his Power Pole and the case for the weapon, which he can also hold. The boxart reads “Son Gokou GT Version” and the packaging has a unique neon yellow coloring scheme as the background.

Giru has made his returning appearance in the Maxi Collection set, remaining the same model as the previous 2006 release but instrumentally having minor alterations in the paint job and getting his own transparent base figure. Giru's transparent figure is unique in this set as he is the only one to have a white transparent figurine. The light exterior maintains his mechanical structure and is a defining choice for his character. Pieces included in this volume release are Trunks (purple transparency) with Giru (white transparency), Pan (orange transparency) with Goku (light blue transparency), Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta (red transparency), Super Saiyan 4 Goku (red transparency), Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta (red transparency), and Piccolo (green transparency).

Banpresto has released a Giru plush in a plush set for Dragon Ball GT characters. This specific plush of Giru stands around 6 inches high. A very unique feature about this plush is the plastic headpiece, which has a clear see-through interior and the red functioning unit apparatus inside of the cranial structure. This adds some detail to this plush. Additionally, a Banpresto tag is attached to the plush with images of Goku, Trunks, Pan, and Giru. This is a very nice piece for a GT character and one of the rarest as it is produced in lesser quantities.

Italian manufacturer DeAgostini has released a 5-inch set comprising of numerous pieces, specifically limiting this slew of additions to Dragon Ball GT characters. Giru (who stood at about 2 inches) was included in this set due to his appearance in the DBGT sagas. The figurines are immobile with miniature white bases to stand on. This particular figurine's base is circular in shape. Giru comes with both hands raised up and in a strongman position as a Dragon Ball is seen under. The Dragon Ball is colored yellow and is furthermore atop the white base. This figurine is number 30 in the DBGT Your Heroes in 3D set.

  • DeAgostini’s Dragon Ball GT Collection

Italian manufacturer DeAgostini has released a 4-inch set comprising of approximately 60 characters, specifically limiting this slew of additions to Dragon Ball GT characters. Giru was included in this set due to his appearance in the DBGT sagas. The figurines are immobile with miniature round black bases to stand on. The Japanese name of the character is notated at the bottom of his base along with the date of release. Giru comes in his basic strongman position, same as the “Your Heroes in 3D” piece except there is somewhat additional detail here in terms of the paint job and head cranial structure. Additionally, this figurine comes atop an orange-colored Dragon Ball as opposed to a yellow one as the “Your Heroes in 3D” piece. This figurine was number 25 of the second set of released under the “Editions Atlas” set, which was released in 2001, having an additional slew of characters added onto the previous DeAgostini set.

Dragon Ball GT Affliction Pan and Giru figures

Released in 2004, Dragon Ball GT Series 1 unleashes a very rare line-up including Pan & Giru in a 2-pack. Designated on the boxart as being from the “Affliction” set due to Pan and Giru both appearing in that DVD, the figure set is notated as “Pan & Giru” and portrays images of the characters on its packaging front. Giru stands at approximately 3 inches and is one of the GT series most unique models aside from being one of its smallest. These figurines are also packaged with Pan’s backpack as an accessory. Series 1 of the GT series also includes General Rilldo (from “Affliction”), Super Saiyan 4 Goku (from “Annihilation”), child-sized Goku (from “Affliction”), and Trunks (from “Affliction”).

Dragon Ball GT Unleashed Fury Super Saiyan Trunks with Giru

Released in 2004, Dragon Ball GT Series 2 reveals a very unique line-up including Super Saiyan Trunks with Giru. The set is titled as “Unleashed Fury” and the figure is notated as “SS Trunks” and portrays an image of the character on its packaging front. Giru is an accessory character who is packaged along with Trunks in this set. All the figures in this set come with a miniature Chibi Vegeta. Oddly enough, the boxart reads the price of the chibi and commercializes the pertaining release as “$2.99 Value! In Stores Soon.” Trunks stands at approximately 6 inches. The Giru figurine stands with both hands to the sides and feet close to each other. Series 2 of the GT series also includes General Rilldo as Meta-Rilldo, Super Baby Vegeta, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, and Super Saiyan Goku (child-sized).

Italian company Panini has released a unique sticker series that has included figurines within its mini cellophane trading card pamphlets entitled "Dragon Ball GT Premium" and has "Special Stickers" written on the cover as well as the Panini logo. This miniature Giru figurine is on par with the "Saga Continues" Irwin line and the "Super Guerriers" AB Groupe line. It is modeled very similar to these sculpts and comes in the same height bracket. As a miniature collectible, Giru is seen with both arms directly dangling beside him as he is in a basic standing posture. Even for a miniature figurine, it is a very detailed piece at this scale.

Released in February 2003, this miniature scale series has incorporated some previously released pieces under the Panini license. This time, it was released by "Messori Cioccolato," a brand of chocolate candy. This French-made piece is a unique sculpt for Giru as it portrays Giru's red cranial area staring upward as the arms dangle to the sides and the unit is seen in a calm posture. This piece is very well-detailed for a miniature and is also one of the rarest when it comes to collectibles pertaining to Giru. Pieces featured in this set are Pan, adult Gohan, Vegeta, Dr. Myuu, Uub, Baby, Bulma, Videl, Bulla, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Giru, Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta, Super Saiyan Trunks, and Goku (child-size).

Dragon Ball GT Volume 29 Trunks with Giru figures

Mattel's Dragon Ball GT series has included reissues of the previously released Super Battle Collection figures. Coincidentally, many of these same figures were also re-released by Irwin Toy. Mattel's version doesn't differ from either of these reissues aside from the fact that it offers a new packaging for the figure in this 2000 lineup. The cardboard is a light and dark green along with having a basic figure bubble in front as well as an insert photo of the included characters, which in this case are volume 29 Trunks and Giru.

These mixed lot of miniature figures include a transparent base and come with a unique hue for each piece. There are a few characters inserted in each bagging with a tag attached to it featuring images of some of the characters. These bagged sets include many characters, Giru appearing once in this set along with Pan. Pan and Giru are seen flying in midair as Pan holds Giru with one hand and her other hand is seen flailing in the air. This is the same mold as Dragon Ball GT Chara Strap Part 2 which was released by Bandai in November, 2006. This piece holds a blue transparent hue.

This Dragon Ball GT resin-based model kit set includes 4 characters in one unique package. As a vintage model set, it is made of a soft white resin base and stands at a 1/13 scale. Additional details for each piece include the following for the height of each piece: Trunks (5.1 inches/13 cm), Goku (3.1 inches/8 cm), Pan (3.1 inches/8 cm), and Giru (approx. 2.3 inches/5.8 cm). Goku is seen maintaining both hands against his waist. Pan is seen holding her hands against her pant pockets and slightly bending as she speaks. Trunks is seen with one hand in his pocket and the other kept to his side. Giru is seen waving hello as he holds onto Trunks' shoulder.

This 4-pack set is a unique pack that features Trunks, Pan, child-sized Goku, and Giru. The packaging cardboard is titled “Dragon Ball GT Adventure” and features all these characters in an immobile format as unique pieces. Pan is in a bent-to-the-side posture as Trunks is relaxed, with one hand in his pocket. Goku maintains his hands to his sides and his feet spread apart as he is in anticipation and Giru’s hands are seen flailing in opposite directions, one going above and the other under. Giru’s cranial structure light is colored blue rather than red.
