The Gigantic Blast when used as a Super Saiyan 2.

Kefla creates multiple green or red energy spheres on top of her hands and throws them at her opponent.

Usage[]

Kefla repeatedly uses the technique during her fight with Goku in the Tournament of Power.

Variations[]

Video Game Appearances[]

In Dokkan Battle, it is named Gigantic Blast where it appears as Kefla's Super Attack.

In Dragon Ball Legends, it is named Gigantic Ray and is Super Saiyan 2 Kefla (DBL35-10S)'s Special Move Arts. Additionally, it can be taught to Shallot (DBL00-01) after she reaches Friendship Rank 2. As Kefla is Super Saiyan 2, it has its red coloration.

In Xenoverse 2, as part of the Legendary Pack 2 DLC, it is named Double Crush and is depicted as a Continuous Energy Bullet version of Caulifla's Crush Cannon with which it shares its coloration thus has a color scheme Super Saiyan 2 Kefla usage in the anime and Dragon Ball Legends. However, besides the coloration and it being Caulifla's Super Skill the technique functions mostly the same as Kefla's usage in the anime though the eight energy spheres grow slightly larger in size and can be fired immediately by holding down the assigned button, set stationary by releasing it, while a second input after setting will launch then towards the opponent. Additionally, it can randomly be obtained by the Future Warrior in New Parallel Quest 147: "Caulifla's Saiyan Search". As part of the 1.17.00 Update DLC, it can be added to Kefla (Super Saiyan)'s custom skillset after purchasing it.

Trivia[]

  • In Xenoverse 2, Blaster Ball (ブラスターボール) has a similar teal coloration to Gigantic Blast however only two energy spheres are produced at a given time making it more of a variation of Double Eraser Cannon and only resembles this technique in coloration and the fact it is one of Kefla's techniques.
  • In Xenoverse 2, Caulifla is apparently the inventor of the technique as it appears as one of her Super Skills, while Kefla herself must unlock it via Partner Customization. However, in Dragon Ball Legends and Dragon Ball Super anime there is no indication that Caulifla is the original inventor of the technique as only Kefla is seen using it. However, fusions are known to inherit the abilities of their fusees (like Gogeta inheriting the Kamehameha from Goku) so it's possible Kefla inherited the technique from Caulifla as Xenoverse 2 suggests (or at least within the continuity of the Xenoverse series).
