Gamma Burst Flash (ガンマバーストフラッシュ Ganma Bāsuto Furasshu) is the most powerful energy wave technique used by Vegeta. It first appeared in the Dragon Ball Super manga.

Overview

Vegeta charges ki in both of his hands like a variant of Final Flash and then releases it similar to a Double Galick Cannon with his hands in an inverted position, resulting in a devastating beam capable of greatly damaging even those who are stronger than Vegeta himself.

Usage and Power

After Vegeta powers up and saves Goku, he uses this attack against Goku Black and Future Zamasu (who had both individually morphed into Fused Zamasu). The attack was strong enough to blow the duo into pieces, however, they regenerate and multiply into more Zamasus. It is noted by Future Trunks that this technique is extremely detrimental to Vegeta and that it was not a good idea for him to use it while already battle damaged. Due to such massive amount of ki released it drains the last of Vegeta's energy and returns to his base form.

In the Tournament of Power, after all three fighters were almost completely drained, Vegeta used this technique with Goku's Kamehameha to try to eliminate Jiren. Ultimately the attacks failed, merely scuffing the exhausted Pride Trooper and blasting off his shirt.

Variations

  • Universe 7 Ultimate Warrior Unit - A team variation of Gamma Burst Flash that starts with variation of Father-Son Kamehameha performed by Goku and Adult Gohan where they fire Combined Bending Kamehameha at the opponent that carries the opponent into orbit bending around the planet back to where Goku, Gohan, and Super Saiyan God SS Evolved Vegeta are waiting as SSGSSE Vegeta turns around and fires a Gamma Burst Flash at the opponent as they hurtle towards them blasting the opponent out into deep space to a distant planet which is destroyed by the blast. This variation appears as SSGSS (Evolved) Vegeta's Super Attack Unit with Goku and Adult Gohan in Dragon Ball Heroes.[2]

Super Saiyan God Vegeta uses Prominence Flash in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

  • Prominence Flash - A variant of Gamma Burst Flash appears in Ultra Pack 1 of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, as Super Saiyan God Vegeta's Ultimate Skill.[1] Instead of Vegeta's hands being inverted when he releases the attack, he instead shoots the attack out of his hands as they face the opposite direction, similar to Final Flash, but the blast color of the attack possesses a mixture of red and yellow, similar to the color scheme of the Super Saiyan God form and its aura. The Future Warrior can also learn the move after completing Tournament of Power 2.

Video Game Appearances

Gamma Burst Flash makes its debut appearance in Dragon Ball Heroes as the Super Attack of SSGSS (Evolved) Vegeta, introduced in Universe Mission 1. The attack also appears as the finisher for Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan (Adult)'s Super Unit Attack Universe 7 Ultimate Warrior Unit and is performed by Vegeta after Goku and Gohan's Father-Son Bending Kamehameha.[2]
