The Galactic Patrol Medal is a medal granted to Galactic Patrolmen - permanent or temporary - for notable heroic acts. In other instances, it can be given to individuals outside of the Galactic Patrol who show great bravery against powerful criminals.
Overview[]
The medal is a circular shape with the Galactic Patrol symbol. The older version was presented as a badge while the modern version is attached to a red ribbon and hangs around a recipient's neck.
Usage[]
In the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, Goku, Vegeta and Good Buu are all recruited for their aid in defeating the escaped wizard Moro along with the other escapees of the Galactic Prison. After the defeat of Moro and the escapees, the trio are called to a special ceremony at Galactic Patrol Headquarters where they, Jaco and Merus are each awarded a Galactic Patrol Medal by the Galactic King for their efforts; culminating with a commemorative photo to celebrate their victory.

In Sachie-chan Guu!!, the inhabitants of Planet Octo head to Earth to recruit two individuals to aid them against the villainous Mil Clan as their calls to the Galactic Patrol have not been answered. They successfully recruit a junior World Martial Arts champion by the name of Zarid (agreeing to give him 500kg of beans to save his village) and Sachie Momochi; the daughter of famous Ninja and Martial Arts Champion Momochi the 20th (agreeing to remove a poop-shaped birthmark that she is constantly teased about by her classmates).
Working together, Sachie and Zarid are able to successfully defeat the Mil Clan - with the Galactic Patrol arriving shortly after and been surprised to find that the Mil Clan have already been beaten. In recognition of Zarid and Sachie's bravery, both are awarded a Galactic Patrol medal and are told that they are the first Earthlings to receive this honor, although Sachie reacts awkwardly to the fact that the Galactic Patrol symbol on the medal resembles her birthmark. Despite this, she is shown happily wearing it when returning home that night (having also decided against removing her birthmark as it helped save her in the fight with the Mil Clan).
