"Frieza Bares His Fangs! Gohan's Overwhelming Attack!" (牙をむくフリーザ！ 超絶パワーが悟飯を襲う Kiba o Muku Furīza! Chōzetsu Pawā ga Gohan o Osō, lit. "Freeza Bares His Fangs! Transcendent Power Attacks Gohan") is the thirty-eighth episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai. The episode first aired in Japan on December 27, 2009. Its original American airdate was October 21, 2010.
Plot
Gohan unleashing an energy barrage on Frieza
After stabbing Krillin in the stomach, Frieza throws him into the water. Gohan is infuriated by this and his power level sky rockets and surprises even Frieza and Vegeta. Gohan unleashes a barrage of energy beams at Frieza in an attempt to finish off the tyrant. Gohan stops to find Krillin in the water, but Vegeta claims that Frieza is far from finished off. Dende rescues Krillin and takes him somewhere to heal him. Frieza recovers and starts thrashing the helpless Gohan. Vegeta tries to save Gohan, however Frieza is unfazed by the attack. Before Frieza delivers the finishing blow, Krillin fires a Destructo Disc from a distance that cuts off Frieza's tail. He unleashes more, but Frieza avoids them. Dende begins to heal Gohan, whilst Krillin leads Frieza away from the battle scene. After a thrilling chase, Krillin attacks with Solar Flare to blind Frieza whilst he escapes back to Vegeta. He shouts at Vegeta to attack the stunned Frieza, but the Saiyan Prince is in awe of Dende's healing powers. Frieza again recovers and comes charging to Vegeta and the others. Vegeta, Gohan and Krillin together release a barrage of energy attacks, and manage to fairly scar Frieza. Just as Vegeta and the others prepare to fight, Piccolo arrives
