Frankenstein is a monster originally from the novelFrankenstein by Mary Shelly that appears frequently in Dr. Slump and briefly in Dragon Ball Z.

He is a resident in Penguin Village and a student at Penguin Village Middle School in Midori Yamabuki's class and later Daigoro Kurigashira's class at Penguin Village High School.

He is seen in a monster cafe in Other World that Fortuneteller Baba was at. He is shown to not be dead and may possibly be a resident or staff member at this point due to him not having a halo over his head.^[1]

Android 8's design is a homage to Mary Shelly's Frankenstien.
- Additionally, in Dragon Ball FighterZ, Android 16 wears a Frankstein/Android 8 inspired Halloween costume for his Lobby Avatar and as a sticker. Frankenstein is often associated with Halloween as he is both a classic monster and Halloween costume.
In Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, the name "Frankenstein" actually refers to Victor Frankenstein, the scientist who created the monster. The creature itself is nameless in the novel, though it is often called "Frankenstein's monster" or simply "the monster". Over time, popular culture has blurred the lines, and many people mistakenly use "Frankenstein" to refer to the creature.
