Forum Why did Goku need ordinary Earthlings' power to defeat Kid Buu with the Genki Dama?

[[Category:{{{1}}}|Why did Goku need ordinary Earthlings' power to defeat Kid Buu with the Genki Dama?]]

Just a quick question- since Goku already had almost all of the Z Fighters' power for the Super Spirit Bomb he used to kill Kid Buu, why did he even need the strength of ordinary Earthlings? Ultimate Gohan was stronger than Super Buu, who was stronger than Kid Buu. And presumably Gohan gave every bit of energy he could to Goku. Add that on to what Piccolo, Goten, Trunks and the others contributed and Goku should have already had all the power he needed, right?

Let's suppose this: There's 6,8 billion people on Earth (Buu saga takes place in Age 774 (that is, 2009)). Now simplify and say all these people have a power level of 5. All people on Earth give their power to the Spirit Bomb, which gives it a staggering power of 34 billion. Quantity is power, remember that.
