[[Category:{{{1}}}|What if gohan went super saiyan against freiza]]

He would have been stronger than goku was as super saiyan because of his hidden power.

He would die, BADLY![]

Gohan's power level was 200 000 according to this very Wiki. That means, 200 000x50=10 000 000...no where NEAR Freeza's full power. Add a little bit of Gohan's anger and I put him at 50 000 000 at most! Freeza still dominates at 50% power. If this battle really did happen Gohan would only win if Toriyama/Toei made him win by some miracle. SuperGogeta91 (talk) 05:25, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

No I don't think so... Gohan would be stronger than Goku was.[]

Gohan's power level was 200 000 a long time ago, and during his fight with Frieza, his power level kept increasing. In the Anime, he comes back and fights Frieza in his final form 100%. At the time, Goku was underwater recovering from Frieza's attack. Frieza lowers his power level up to about 70%, and Gohan angrily beats Frieza up. Frieza then has no choice but to power up to 100% again, but Super Saiyan Goku comes out of the sea to fight Frieza again, and tells Gohan to leave again, and Gohan does so. Goku in his normal form struggled with Frieza at 50%, although Gohan in his normal form managed to beat up Frieza at 70%. So Gohan will be stronger than Goku as a Super Saiyan if it was at that time. ^Nowhere does it suggest Freeza was at 70%. For all we know, he could've been back at 1% (see how I pulled numbers out from nowhere?). Not only that, but Freeza wasn't fazed at the least by Gohan's punches and Gohan only wanted to stall him so he would die with the planet...ANOTHER reason why Freeza didn't finish off Gohan, because he knew he would not make it if he took the the time in killing Gohan. Besides if Gohan managed to "beat up" 70& Freeza, why was Goku doing the fighting? They should've just had Gohan fight him. Everything we have suggests Gohan dies bady. I stand corrected, he only wins if Toriyama/Toei make him win by some miracle or if ignorant fanboys start using false info. SuperGogeta91 (talk) 06:04, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

Well you are right, Frieza could have been 1%. At least he was in his final form, and that does not mean that Gohan could have died if he became a Super Saiyan and fought. Also, Goku did not let Gohan fight Frieza because Goku wanted Gohan to get to the ship because the planet was being destroyed, and also, Goku wanted to avenge Krillin himself, and defeat Frieza as a Super Saiyan. Gohan might have not been as strong as Goku was as a Super Saiyan, but he couldn't certainly die. And Gohan had also gotten stronger, because when he first fought Frieza final form, he couldn't even touch him. But then, later during the destruction of Namek, Gohan got more stronger as he was able to even touch Frieza. So I think he could have NOT DIED as a Super Saiyan facing Frieza. ^You didn't understand what I said earlier. Here's this; Gohan didn't gain any power from the moment Goku was fighting freeza, to the moment Goku got sent into lava by Freeza. You're telling me Gohan beat up 70& Freeza at base, which would mean Base Gohan is as stronger/stronger as/than Freeza...so why didn't Goku let Gohan fight him in the BEGINNING? Why let Goku go Kaioken and risk almost dying by trying the Spirit Bomb if Gohan, who you say was stronger than 50% at base, take care of him? Wouldn't make sense. You probably like Gohan and don't want to see him lose, but high chances are Super Saiyan Gohan (Freeza Saga) dies badly against Freeza. SuperGogeta91 (talk) 06:52, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

You are all agruing about anime filler...

It wasn't in the manga, it was added just to make things more dramatic.

But SuperGogeta91 is right, Gohan wouldn't be able to kill Frieza. Even if his power level increased from 200 000 to let's say 1 000 000, then x50 it still isn't enough. No point of arguing here. Gohan couldn't kill Frieza. Toriyama wouldn't make Gohan stronger than Goku at this point of the series. He wanted to end it after the Namek Saga, so it would be stupid to make Gohan stronger than Goku. Oko500 (talk) 12:23, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

Frieza would panic[]

I reckon Frieza would panic, and would:

1. Go crazy and try to kill Gohan, though Gohan could probably hold off Frieza until Goku returned.

2. Panic and attempt to destroy the planet right there and then.

3. Flee. User:Ssj2gohan99 (talk) 08:11, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

Exactly my point! I didn't say Gohan will win, I said he can hold Frieza off as a Super Saiyan, and not die at the same time. Anu-Generation (talk) 14:29, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

Third Form Frieza[]

Gohan when angered was able to create a blast that nearly destroyed Frieza in his third form. Frieza's power level in his third form was well above 1 million, so it stands to reason Gohan when angered was well above 1 million as well. (Although not quite as strong as frieza in form #3.) So if Gohan were to go SSJ his power level would be anywhere from 50,000,000 to 100,000,000 if we was able to stay angry during the entire fight with Frieza. Up until Gohan fought Cell though, Gohan could only control his hidden powers for a limited time, similar to Goku's Kaio-Ken. So even if Gohan achieved Super Sayian, he wouldn't be strong enough to defeat Frieza and even if he was he wouldn't be able to maintain it long enough to defeat him. Kakarran (talk) 20:12, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

A blast that nearly destroyed Frieza ? No, Frieza dodged it. If it was that powerful he wouldn't be able to dodge that.

Gohan almost died. He only survived because Piccolo saved him. Piccolo destroyed that Ki ball that was going back to Gohan because Frieza was able to deflect it. Oko500 (talk) 21:34, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

I'm aware he was able to deflect it, but he struggled to, indicating that it was a significant amount of power even compared to Frieza. 71.59.157.3 01:37, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Weaker than goku[]

Base gohan was a lot weaker than base goku. Like not even close. Going super saiyan multiplies their base power level. He would have lost against final form freiza. This is the same case with bardock. Super saiyan bardock wouldn't have been able to beat final form freiza because his base power multiplied isn't enough. It's just simple math and logic--Ssj3gogeta96 (talk) 06:44, January 30, 2013 (UTC)ssj3gogeta96

Gohan would have to have gotten another beatdown from Frieza, say from his 3rd form, in order for Zenkai to have given him enough power to break through the limit. And even then, Gohan wasn't really enraged when Frieza knocked off Piccolo and killed Krillin, just scared. He may have become angry if given the chance.

It wouldn't happen[]

A sufficiently high power level is a prerequisite for being able to go Super Saiyan. Goku's power level when he fought Frieza was 3,000,000, according to the List of Power Levels page, whereas Gohan's was only about 200,000. Now, I know, when he got angry Gohan was able to fight relatively evenly, if not outright dominating, third form Frieza, so that puts his power level when angry at at least 1,500,000, probably, which still puts him at about half of Goku's base power level at the time. Gohan simply wasn't strong enough to become a Super Saiyan at that point.

Assuming he did manage it though, through some miracle of bad fanfiction, his power level would be, as others have stated, about 10,000,000 when calm, and 75,000,000 when angry. So assuming he could stay angry long enough, he could probably kill Frieza, assuming Frieza were still only using 50% of his full power(power level: 60,000,000). If Frieza decided to bulk up to 100% power though, Gohan would probably lose.
