I was wondering if you guys would think this was the best course of action? It could include things like adult gotenks, a real final battle between goku and vegeta, etc...
I disagree i think GT was good and there's no need for yet another series and also since you can't just "scratch" a whole series and start a new one.

I think the series is fine as it is and shouldn't be changed. And besides it isn't a matter of how good Toriyama can write the manga, but that I've already made GT and the Dragon Ball I already know a part of me. Trying to introduce a new series would be like trying to introduce an adoptive brother into my family.
I agree with this post and the post above that. GT is already the sequel to DBZ. You can not just "scrath" a entire series and all the DBGT games and act like it never existed. I like GT. Leave the series alone
I honestly couldn't stand GT, it just annoyed me to no end. But I still don't think they should write a new series to replace it. I think the best course of action for the Dragon Ball series would be to just stop making them. It's been fine for several years so why try to make further changes to an already legendary franchise? IMO they should have just ended it after Z. GT wasn't a very good show by comparison, but trying to add more might just make things worse. DBZ is classic; let's not keep trying to milk it past its prime.

How about we scratch GT -- especially since Toriyama didn't write it, it has no original manga form, and it sucks donkey balls -- and not make a new one!
lol it didnt have a manga because toriyama was sick of drawing and writing dragonball so he let someone else take over. its like in marvel comics how a new writer brings a new take to the story despite stan lee not really writing it.
I like dragonball and dragonball z -- it should end there, just like Toriyama wanted. Gt is not canon and i freaking hate it.
toriyama had alot to do with gt, and approved its creation as a side story. side stories can still be sanctioned by the original writer and considered canon because of this.
I just pretend that it doesnt exist and anything that happened in it never happened. In fact, I wish I had never even seen it. It screwed up all of the best characters (e.g. making Piccolo die when Toriyama would have never done that -- its his favorite charcter
no goku is his favourite character. read the super exciting guide.
and the fact that dbz ended with him alive means that thats how Toriyama intended it to be! Not to make him go to freaking hell...grr)
how do you know toriyama didnt make the decision for him to die a noble death? he got a crappy death in kid buu saga. being killed while asleep? give me a god damn break. gt treated piccolo with respect. toriyama did not.
Basically, GT is made by some other person who had nothing to do with the original series
wrong. gt was made by toei animation who were the CREATORS of the original series. they had everything to do with the creation of dbz and toriyama helped them make gt.
who made the characters go in directions they otherwise would not have.
like who? vegeta? he was already headed in that direction. so was gohan. so was trunks.
Therefore, its realation to dbz and its continued progression of the characters is flawed and can be ignored.
right..buu arc treated its characters worse. piccolo is comic relief. goku is an asshole. kid trunks is plain annoying.

why not? theroetically he lost the form but not the power. he has ultimate power in his ssj2 form in gt.
There is no manga past the end of dbz so you cannot make any additional series relating to it.
So.... SCRATCH IT! But no new series to replace it...

Lol. I am not gonna start another arguement with another GT hater who thinks GT is non cannon. Also due to the fact they think it wasn't made by some people who made the original series and think Toriyama had nothing to do with it. They are ignorant. Wow because it wasn't in the manga it doesn't count? Wow that is so old. I can't believe people still use that as a excuse. GT is apart of DBZ and DB. lol but i agree with you 100%. im saying that heroes is not some new replacement of gt. its a side story to promote a card game. i dont hate gt. far from it. its enjoyable.

Well isn't it? Toriyama contributed a lot more to the story of DBO than he did with GT. Sooo DBO is pretty much what you're talking about.
no he didnt. he only contributed designs and approved the story that bird studios wrote.
I thought he did more. Thank god though, the story for DBO is just...awful imo

Well how about....
How about make Gt as a side story, and make them as movies divide Saga and make them as Movies, and then write a new sequel. i think it is the best way. Because many transformations and fusions are forgotten and everyone wish to see Adult Gotenks, maybe Goten and trunks aquire SSj2 or somethin. Plus some People say Gt is great and some say its not. At this way GT remains and a new (hopefully better) Sequel will come out.

Ok, what do you mean "letting Toriyama write a sequel"? If he hasn't done that yet, and still approved GT, then why do you think he would create something else to replace GT? GT is canon anyways, so you can't just get rid of it.
