Forum Final deaths of the Z-Fighters after Dragon Ball GT

At the end of GT and in Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy it is stated that all the Z-Fighters except Pan have passed away. I know we are never given any dates or reasons for their deaths (including people like Master Roshi who supposedly won't die of any natural causes), but would it be fair to put in "Before 889 Age" under the Date of Death section in the infobox? Personally I think this is a good idea, but I would like to open it up for discussion. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 06:08, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

The only reason I personally am not sure about this is the continued debate that Dragon Ball GT is considered by many to be non-canon to the original series. So, I'm not sure if this is justifiable 100%. If anything, perhaps we could so something such as After 784 Age (DBZ) and below put Before 889 Age (DBGT) or something along those lines. Thoughts?

That sounds like a good fix to me. I have no problem noting that the date is due to GT only. I just think it's a death that could be noted. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 20:06, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed! But I would suggest we gather further opinions as well.

I also agree and think this would be a perfect way to do it since there is no way to be sure. Nice work guys!  SSJ4 Lewich  talk  contribs  21:24, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

I have no suspicion about people like Chi-Chi, Bulma, Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha passing away, but Goku and Vegeta? I never knew that Saiyans could pass away by old age. All the Saiyans I knew were murdered. CJSTRO12 21:29, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, it's hard to tell with Saiyans. The Daizenshuu says that a Saiyan's life expectancy is similar to a human's but they retain their youthfulness much longer. Up until then though, the only description of the life expectancy was, "not long" as Vegeta once explained that Saiyans die in battle. So their full lives are never there to study. But because of the Daizenshuu I think it is safe to say that Vegeta and Goku are dead. The ones I'm more worries about are people like Master Roshi, Baba, Turtle, etc. After drinking the elixer of life, they can't die of natural causes. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 21:33, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

but goku cant be dead. he appears in the final epidode of gt and even in heros legacy. TheDarkPrinceReturns! 22:02, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Are Baba and Turtle part of the Z Fighters though? This means that they could still be alive  SSJ4 Lewich  talk  contribs  21:45, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

I would strongly advise against putting (DBGT only) for anything, lest it end up on every page and become a hassle to deal with. The MoS notes DBGT as the 2nd-most reliable source of info, so I see no problem stating info from GT as fact. -- 21:57, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

The only reason I have a problem with using GT as fact is that it was not made by Mr. Toriyama himself. This is why I believe for example on Piccolo's article, for his final date of death, I edited it so that it says 789 Age (DBGT), this way readers know this occurred in Dragon Ball GT. I simply changed this article as a rough sample of what we could potentially do, we can always change that of course. But once again more opinions are needed.

We could put non-manga instead of (DBGT), but it seems the GT movie special contradicts the Daizenshuu. If Saiyans have the same life expectancy as normal humans, how could Pan live that much, if she's a 1/4 Saiyan? Nevertheless, the Daizenshuu also states that Vegeta was the first Z-Fighter to die, due to high-blood pressure. Anyway, I think its unanimous that it must exist a distinction between what is "GT Canon" and "Toriyama Canon"... Vegeta MorningVegeta - San Talk ContribVegeta Morning 22:15, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Well, all I know is that the Z-Fighters except Pan are dead after Dragon Ball GT. However, we did see Goku in the last DBGT Episode and in the special, so I'd have to say that Goku has a much longer life span due to the fact the Elder Kai gave Goku his life in the Fusion Saga. It is stated in the trivia of Goku's article, "Goku's life span should last for about 1,000 years. The Old Kai said in the manga before giving Goku his life that he only had about 1,000 years left in him anyway," though I could be wrong. 510253-3411355-gohanSS2 SSJ2AJB talk contrib GohanSuperSaiyanArmsUp

I just deleted that trivia, lol (I thought I had earlier, too). Even though Old Kai would have lived that long, there's really no way to tell if Kai years translate perfectly to a Saiyan body. Plus there's the whole randomly-riding-away-with-Shenron thing... we should probably ignore Goku with respect to life span concerns IMO. -- 22:45, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, from what I can tell from the posts, there doesn't seem to be anyone arguing against the inclusion of the "before 889 Age" in the deaths section, so it looks like we can change that. The discussion now though, seems to be who should receive the title of "Z-fighter" and have this new change applied to them. I agree that Goku is out of the discussion entirely as he basically achieved godhood or something close to it and conscievably has an infinite life. I think anyone who was officially a "z-fighter" (as in taking part in battles against the forces of evil) is automatically included. I also think the support characters should count as well. This would include characters like Puar, Oolong, Baba, turtle, Chichi, Bulma, Bulla, etc. The androids, however, are another thing entirely. They also will never die of natural causes, but some (like 18 and maybe 8) can certainly fit into the two groups I've mentioned before. I'm not sure what should be done about them. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 00:30, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

I have never seen GT, so I'm not sure. —This unsigned comment was made by Mr. Body Parts (talkcontribs) Please sign your posts with ~~~~ next time!

I think that (DBGT) or (DBZ) don't need to be placed next to Before 899 age or whatever. While some fans don't accept DBGT as canonical, Akira Toriyama has stated that he enjoys the continuation of his work and the fact that we list pages and write pages about Dragon Ball GT without stating on the pages that it comes from DBGT means that we shouldn't have to write (DBGT) next to the death date. As 10X Kamehameha said, we don't need it and DBGT is a reliable source. It just seems like a hassle. What could be done is saying on the Z-Fighters pages After 784 Age, Before 899 Age to show that the death was in that era. Also, anyone that fought against evil during the beginning of DBZ to the end of DBGT should be included as a Z-Fighter. SSWerty 05:24, April 1, 2010 (UTC)SSWerty

Ugh, the more I think about this, the more difficult it seems to be to put parameters on what was meant when it is said that Pan is the only one left. It could mean so many different things. With the term "Z-Fighter"/earth's special forces (and everything else they've been called) originating effectively with the union of Piccolo and Goku to defeat Raditz, this completely gets rid of any helpful characters from Dragon Ball only. And even then, it's so hard to classify some helpful support characters (like dende, korin, Oolng, Puar) as NOT part of the group. I am going to watch the sections where it is said that Pan is the only one left again to see how it's worded. Maybe then we can form a better definition of what is meant that is also easier to work with. Also, if anyone has suggestions for definitions they deem fit, pleace let them be known. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 05:42, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

I think that the part of GT saying Pan was the last Z Fighter was one of GT's plot holes. I believe that when Dragon Ball Online is released it will show which Z Fighters are alive by that time. DBO takes place long after GT so characters who would live up to the events in DBO would be alive by the end of GT. The characters I'd expect to be alive by then including non-Z Fighters residing on Earth are:

  • Master Roshi
  • Master Shen
  • Tao Paipai
  • Baba
  • Turtle
  • Android #8
  • Android #16
  • Android #17
  • Android #18
  • Goku
  • Vegeta (Possibly)
  • Piccolo (Possibly)
  • Majin Buu
  • Korin
  • Mr Popo
  • Dende

(Nubescout 15:45, April 1, 2010 (UTC))

Mr. Popo is immortal, as is Goku likely. Piccolo is already dead by the end of GT, so we don't need to include him (Goku had to say goodbye to him in Hell). I don't think we should take Dragon Ball online into account at all. There seem to already be problems with it's canonisity and it's inconsistensies. For example, Majin Buu in GT fused with Uub so he could not have done all the things that DBO says he did (i.e. making a female Buu and procreating). And I find it hard to not put someone like Master Roshi on the list of Z-Fighters, even though he technically never faught evil while they were called that. But, on the other hand, he is unable to die of natural causes, and no unnatural events were ever mentioned. It could be a case of trying to disproves something happened instead of proving that it did. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 16:23, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

The story of Buu creating a Majin race in Dragon Ball Online does happen because DBO ignores GT as it wasn't made by Toriyama like Dragon Ball and DBZ while DBO is. (Nubescout 18:17, April 1, 2010 (UTC))

You make a damn-good point. I've gone through the movie again (as apparently it's only mentioned there) and the line is, "Of the brave warriors that fought together 100 years ago, only one remains". The fight that it was referring to was the battle against Baby, as the scenes leading up to the line only show that villain. So it would seem that anyone that ever fought Baby, his minions, or people controlled by Baby, should be included in the group that is now dead. Unfortunately I think saying that anyone else it included would just require speculation (albeit a small amount of it). How do people feel about this?

It seems likely that only Goku would be the only surviving member aside from Pan, as he was given approximately 1000 years of life from Elder Kai alongside the fact that he was a kid in DBGT so he would theoretically get another 50 years or so, having to grow back to his proper age. Because TV special states that only Pan remains from the group that fought Baby, then Master Roshi, Dende, Oolong etc. would not be counted as they didn't fight Baby or his minions. If we are going to state (DBGT) or whatever next to charcter deaths, then Tien also can't be included as he didn't battle Baby.  SSWerty  23:26, April 1, 2010 (UTC)SSWerty

I agree, only the fighters that actually fought Baby, or his overshadowed minions should count towards this. It's the only way to do it without speculation. For Goku, though, things are different. We can't exaclty call his disappearance with Shenron a "death". When he comes back he seems to be able to go immaterial, flashing in and out of existence whenever he wants. Unless people have a problem with this as an answer, I think it's the fairest way to go about this. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 01:49, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

With what as an answer? It seems like all we've accomplished is deciding that we don't really now about anyone. I mean, who's to say that "remains" even means "still alive". Maybe the other Z-fighters left to fight evil elsewhere? I don't think we can say anything for sure with the quote as it is. -- 01:53, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

The quote may say "remains" instead of "still alive", but they were in a graveyard while it's being said and explained. Hard to imply anything but death from that. That being said, the quote is INCREDIBLY vague, so I guess anything we would decide on would require at least some amount of speculation. This is likely why nothing really concrete has been settled really. I simply meant "answer" as in the lesser of evils - the description that required the least amount of speculation. If that small amount of speculation isn't allowed, then it would seem that the discussion is mute. It's not a bad thing if it is, I just feel bad about not thinking about that fact at the beginning of it. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 02:18, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

I think "sometime after 790 Age" is the best you can do for a death date as it is never actually comfirmed when each of them die and which ones die. Anyone under the "Characters who can't die of natural causes" category shouldn't have a death date since it is likely that they did not die from being killed in a time gap. - Slayer25769 19:32, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

How do we know

How do we know they even died? Roshi is "Immortal", as are popo, 18, and 8. The closest thing we have to being sure they died are 1) Pan saying they died. and 2) Toriyama saying that out of all Z-fighters, Vegeta would die first of high blood pressure. But does that mean they died? Look at master shen. He's well over 100, near to roshi, and he didnt have the immortal phoenix's blessing. maybe if someones powerful enough they can live Over 100 years? maybe something was invented to make everyone age slower? maybe Pan just doesnt talk to anyone cause they dont like her? I mean. Look at yamcha. He'd be in the desert. why would she go there? we cant be certain they DID die.  Silver Ink (Silver Sinspawn)  ..  ..

lawl at "maybe Pan just doesnt talk to anyone cause they dont like her?"

It would seem, after reading everyone's discussions of the topic, that any action taken on this subject would require mountains of speculation which we avoid like the plague. So I think it would suffice to say that it should not be noted anywhere except on the Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy page as trivia or an explanation of the quote at the beginning of the movie. --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 23:32, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Old Age

I hate that plothole!!! Everybody (including Master Roshi) is dead after only 100 years??? No way!! Mercenary Tao was like 300 years old according to the timeline, yet he looked to only be in his 30's or 40's when Goku killed him.. And his brother, Master Shen, is roughly Master Roshi's age yet was never stated to have drank from the fountain of youth or whatever.. Same with Fortuneteller Baba, who is even older than Master Roshi, yet she and Roshi are in the final scenes like they died of old age. I refuse to believe they died of old age, no matter what dub says what. Vegeta and the others probably died defending Earth or some other Planet, if they are dead at all... As for Goku, however, i do believe Goku may have died during the final battle with Omega Shenron since he was impervious to all of Omega's attacks in just his base form; And how after Omega dies, Goku is back in the spot he was before he gathered the Universal Spirit Bomb, and Shenron then seemingly revives him; Not to mention how Goku mysteriously has his Power Pole, and how his clothes are left behind; Also, the way he appears and disappears is very strange, it's not Instant Transmission at all, it's something different. Anyway, i still like the ending of the final episode because i'd like to think Goku had finally become the strongest being in the Universe, in his base form far stronger than SS4 Gogeta or Omega Shenron; I just didn't like how Goku abandons everyone, but it kinda makes sense because he is alone when we are introduced to him, so maybe they wanted his character to go out the same way. Just MHO, DBZGT Goku. :)

It is a really annoying plot hole. The weird thing is it isn't mentioned in GT at all. That episode makes no mention of who is left, and only discusses and shows Pan and Goku Jr. Only the OVA Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy mentions it, almost in passing, at the beginning of the story. I'm trying to find a Japanese version that I can translate to see if the line is only in the FUNimation dub, or if they translated it correctly. I think the discussion may be opened up more if we find there is a difference. And thank you very much for your imput! --==> DragonBall.Z GT Goku  Goku ssj4 gt-openingTalk Contributions. 20:38, April 23, 2010 (UTC)
I'm weird when it comes to original ideas, and i have alot of them too! Like how i believe Vegeta did reach Super Saiyan 3 sometime after Kid Buu dies; I consider that open because Vegeta never has the chance, nor reason to use it.. But that's off-topic i suppose.. I just hate the thought of the characters dying of old age. I especially doubt Dende died of old age because the Nameless Namek (or the original Piccolo as i sometimes call him) was over 200 years old before he seperated into two, yet was physically still in his early 20's. I hope it's just another plothole created by bad translation. SuperTron500 (talk) 20:50, April 23, 2010 (UTC)

what should happen after GT

i think..they should start new seasons and saga..with background and theme of dbz, the time should be same..everyone for new characters...the setting should be based at a martial arts academy established by Krillin or Master Roshi. This idea is similar to YuGiOh GX...than have like the next goku or the academy...same personality..also have few character from dbz showing...such as the turtle...also have few characters related to the main z fighters...i.e. trunks great grandson....and also have another saiyan saga...few other saiyans in the film with broly..saiyan moved to another there should be new saiyans and also be amazing for picolo jnr go to the academy..i think this is good idea

Goku somehow fused with the Dragon Balls to become immortal or something. Also the living characters would be Roshi, Korin, Dende, Popo, and any surviving android Bulla, and Maron, and Majuub(if they were alive at that point) as far as I know they are most likely alive. There's also the debate of whther Trunks and Goten are dead, if Vegeta passed away or if Piccolo was revived as he has eternal youth he would still be alive and well if he was wished back. We also never saw any of Maron's or Majuub's grandkids. Super Saiyan 09

Yeah. There's one problem though...Akira Toriyama is done with DB. AssassinHood 09:10, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, and if another person takes charge and make new series of dragon ball, there would be high chances that he'll mes up the story, characters, and the entire show.

I was really hoping to see a story of Goku after leaving with shimron and fusing with the dragon balls... I would like to see the story below turn into some new seasons :)

Some problems here...

1.) A lot of people have already pointed out how Roshi cannot be dead, yet I see people rationalizing this by saying (well he's not a part of the Z fighters) the anime also said friends, that would include him...I would actually call him the patriarch of the Z fightes since he trained two of their main members and the protagonists of DBZ's prequel but w.e. that is arguable. Let's just be honest here, the writers of GT FORGOT, it's no mystery they weren't well informed, the series had plenty of inconsistencies, the power levels didn't make sense, so OF COURSE they wouldn't remember one of the finer details of the show like Roshi drinking the Immortality Elixir. They probably barely remembered Roshi in the first place.

2.) I can't believe there are people who take that statement about Vegeta dying from high blood pressure seriously, REALLY? Come on guys it was just an interview question and Toriyama was making a quick speculation, that didn't take into account the show actually moving forward and Vegeta becoming calmer and more mature as he got older, it was just the first thing that came to Toriyama's mind.

3.) Of course people like Dende, Mr. Popo, and Korin were ignored for the same reason I mentioned in #1. I feel like the writers of GT just came up with the script for the narrator to read for the last episode in one day when they were trying to meet a deadline. They created something that wrapped the story up in a neat little bow and would satisfy most viewers but would make people like us who actually know the details frustrated. The GT producers just cut their losses, in my opinion they'd already destroyed the series enough they just didn't care lol.

4.) Even though I think it was just created for commercial purposes and to get the fans to stop bitching about Toriyama making a real continuation to the Dragon Ball franchise I'm inclined to take the things that happen in Dragon Ball Online more like canon than I am GT. With that being said...

Goku died in the year 784.

The Saiyan Race integrated with the human race after many generations.

Gohan taught humans how to use ki and so humans are now an advanced martial arts warrior race as well as great mechanics and mystics.

Piccolo and Dende became historical icons for the Namekian people who now live on Earth and can train to either be powerful warriors or have the powers of the Dragon Clan

Majin Buu created a wife and procreated, making the Majin race who are peaceful on Earth and want to protect it.

goku is not dead whe he rode off with shenron the dragonball were inserted into his body hint goku is now the iternal dragon and when darkness apears he will answer the call and fight

Goku fused with the dragon balls so he's immortal, PoPo cant die of old age, Roshi cant die of natural causes, all the humans, Goten Trunks and Vegeta obviously died. Bra/Bulla could be still alive since she was the same age as Pan. - DemonJJF2

A Possible Story After Dragonball GT

A Possible Story after Dragonball GT  (By Vijay Moghe)

Flashback: We all know that in the last episode of Dragonball GT, after defeating the all-mighty Omega Shenron with his spirit bomb, the dragon balls are restored and Shenron appears in the sky. Shenron explains to Goku and his Friends why the shadow dragons were created and tells him that he must go away for eternity along with the dragon balls. Goku makes a last wish to recover all the damage Omega Shenron had done on Earth. Shenron listens to Goku’s last wish and grants it. Shenron asks Goku to come along with him. Goku accepts tells Vegeta to take care of the Earth and his Family. On his way with Shenron, Goku also meets his Friends like Krillin and Master Roshi at Kami House and Piccolo in Hell. Goku absorbs all the Dragon Balls and shenron takes him to a place which is unknown to all of us. They directly show a scene of the World Marshall Arts tournament where Pan’s grandson Goku Jr. fights with Vegeta’s great grandson Vegeta Jr. and in this way Dragonball GT ends. No one knows when Goku and all the Z warriors died so there is a possibility of creating a new series in the period between the end of the shadow Dragon Saga and the time of Goku Jr. as a child.

Episode 1: Shenron’s Mystery

Somewhere deep in outer space there exists a galaxy called Miclox where Shenron decides to take Goku to a new place. Shenron lands on an unknown strange planet full of trees and lakes but no living beings or animals. Goku gets down and asks Shenron where he is. Shenron tells him that that here are many other important issues to worry about than discussing about the planet. Shenron tells him that after 9 decades the universe will come to an end. Goku completely astonished by Shenron's words, asks Shenron how that is possible. Shenron explains that during the evolutionary process of the universe, an unbalance was created. This unbalance was due to excessive use of Dragon balls all over the universe that were created on different Planets like Earth, Namek and 1000s of other planets in the four quadrants. Due to this enormous amount of negative energy was created and is still being created spontaneously all over the universe, each time the dragon balls are used. He further explains that all of this negative energy gets concentrated at the centre of each galaxy and eventually it will create a dark hole of a different dimension. These dark holes will be so powerful that it will absorb all the planets present in the universe just like a black hole with infinite absorbtion capacity. Furthermore, each dark hole will combine and the universe will become extinct forever. He tells that there is only one way to stop this terrifying occurrence. He tells Goku that so far out of the 7 universes which exist in time, Goku was the only person who served his life for the wellfare of nature and mankind. He tells that he will use his power to increase Goku's life span by 10 decades only for one purpose that he must sit on this planet and meditate in one position and focus all of his energy for the next 9 decades. He explains that each decade his meditates, all the negative energy is neutralized by 1/10th amount of the positive energy emitted by his life force and all the negative energy will eventually vanish. He tells that he will give the extra decade to Goku to search all possible dragon balls that exist in the universe to destroy them.  He tells Goku that his body will remain intact and he will not be requiring any sort of materialistic things for his survival. Shenron promises him that he will have the strength to survive till he completes his meditation. Shenron then gives all of his energy to Goku and he then Shenron turns into stone.

Episode 2: Super Saiyan 5 !!!

Goku ssj4 v 1 by eutanacia

Goku perplexed with Shenron’s speech wonders if all of this is actually possible.  He sits down on a rock and thinks for a while. Various thoughts come in Goku’s mind that I have done so much for the universe and Shenron leaves him in an isolated planet in some deep corner of the universe. He remembers his family wishing he had stayed on Earth with the others. Regreting that he did not get to spennd enough time with his family because he trained Uub for few years in his village, after which he had to fight many enimies like Baby, Super 17, and the Shadow Dragons. So he never actuallt got time to spend quality time with his family members. He then remembers that he has the ability to use instant transmission as a Super Saiyan 4 and decides to go back to Earth and tell his family about what Shenron had told him. Thinking that he can stay at home and meditate most of the day while spending time with his family, he get a idea. He turns Super Saiyan 4 and tries to use instant transmission but he is unable to sense Earth or any living force in all directions. He then tries to talk to King Kai telepathically but he does not receive any signal. He also tries to talk to Supreme Kai and Old Kai but fails in that too. He feels that he will be able to sense everybody if he transforms into a level beyond a Super Saiyan 4. He recalls that he had used the Blutz Waves form the Earth last time to turn into a Super Saiyan 4 wich meant he could try it again to transform further possibly into a Super Saiyan 5. Goku powers ups and looks at a similar planet in the sky and slowly tries to gather radiation from that planet. His power level increases and his hair color start to change from black to white. His muscles grow and his fur color changes into White also. Finally after finishing his newly attained transformation of a Super Saiyan 5, Goku then tries using instant transmission. With his good luck he is able to sense the land of the Kai’s in the sixth universe. He teleports there and to his surprise he sees a huge tower. He sees a person standing on the top of the tower and decides to go up there. Once he reaches the top, he goes behind the unknown person and asks that person who he is. The person turn aorund and tells him that he is a Kai of this Miclox galaxy. The Kai looked like a strange creature with a scary face. Goku gets a bad feeling about this and asks them politely where is. The Kai tells him that he are knows all about Goku and he will not let him go away unless he defeats he Kai. Goku powers up and tells them to stop wasting his time. He uses instant transmission to search for more living force but the Kai’s attack him from behind but Goku blocks his attack. The Kai then uses a magic spell and he faints and returns back to his original state. The next thing Goku finds out is that he is trapped in a room with no doors, windows, or exits. He tries to blast the room but all his attacks get absorbed by the walls. He then uses a Kamehameha wave to create an exit but even that gets absorbed completely. Then suddenly a voice appears in his ears. “You must meditate on the planet I have left you on. If you do not do as I say, the universe will vanish”. Goku tries to argue and fight back. He says that he also has a life and wants to live as all other beings live in the universe and taht nobody has the right to control his life. The voice disappears. Goku sits down and closes his eyes. He starts focusing his energy with a positive mind-set. He meditates for 10 minutes and then opens his eyes. He finds himself on the same planet as he was before. With these strange occurances, Goku has completely no idea what to do next.

Episode 3:  Again the Battle of Gods!!!

226328-3606534-FINAL BOUT

Having no idea what to do. He sits and meditates for days and days. Then suddenly he senses an evil energy somewhere in space. He opens his eyes and looks around. He sees a spark of light flashing 100s of miles away. Knowing that he cannot reach there without super saiyan 5, he transfroms and uses his instant transmission to reach that light beam. He reaches the seventh universe in a different Dimension again. He finds out that the evil force was none other than the God of Destruction (Bills) {form the movie Battle of Gods} who was destroying each planet with his fingertips just for the thrill of killing innocent people. He uses his Kamehameha wave to generate power enough to destroy a galaxy. Goku realizes that the power Shenron had given to him before turning to stone, was so much that he did not have to turn into a Super Saiyan 5. If he had just believed his inner feeling and used it, he could have used instant transmissioon too. Bills laughs and tells Goku that he has no chance of creating even a scratch on his body with his stupid Kamehameha and that he will destroy the Earth in 1 more year. Goku keeps generating his Kamehameha for a minute in his hand. He then uses one hand to instant transmit behind Bills and fires the Kamehameha wave in his back which passes through him and creates a hole in his body. Goku holds his neck and tell his to stop his evil deeds otherwise he will destroy him. Bills tries to use his eyes to destroy Goku but it has no effect on Goku’s body as a Super Saiyan 5. Goku then tell him that because he has done so many good deeds, so Shenron had granted him 100 years of life to prevent the universe form vanishing. Before finishing off Bills for good, he tells Bills to show him the way to the First Universe where Earth and the four quadrants are, otherwise he will kill him for good. Bills agrees to take him there only on the condition that Goku must not kill him. Goku promises to agree and leaves Bills neck. Bills takes Goku to King Kai’s planet with his powers where they had their last battle 2 years ago. Before leaving, Bills tries to kill Goku  with a death ball, but Goku absorbs his evil energy with his pointer finger being angry for the mistake Bills made. Goku uses his Super Dragon Fist Attack and blast it though Bills neck and kills him. He then retuns back into normal as a kid. Looking at King Kai’s house Goku feels extremely happy and runs to see if anybody is home.

Episode 4 : Goku is Free!!!

Goku knocks on King Kai’s door and to his surprise King Kai opens it and welcomes Goku. Goku tells King Kai about what Shenron said and asks if there is an alternative solution to this problem. King Kai congragulates him for his upgradation to Super Saiyan 5 and tells him that there is one possibility of not having to meditate for 9 decades and still save the universe. He tells Goku, "You must give all the extra energy to someone who is as worthy as you are and someone who has as much positive energy." He tells Goku to go to the Earth and find someone capable of listening to his idea. Goku thinks this is a fantastic idea and uses instant transmission to go to the earth. He thinks for a while and tries to remember a person. He remembers that Master Roshi has a long life span and he would be just the right person to send for 9 decades. He goes to Master Roshi’s place and knocks on the door. Master Roshi opens the door and thinks that Goku is a ghost. He faints and after a while wakes up. Goku tells him everything and asks him if he can do what Shenron told him. Roshi tells Goku that he would be glad to save the universe and sacrifice his life on earth,  but there is one major problem that he could stop thinking about women. He tells Goku that he would not be able to devote himself for 9 decades sincerely. Goku tells him that he could that fix that problem permanently. He touches Roshi’s forehead and eliminates all bad thoughts about women from Roshi’s brain using Shenron's power. Goku tells him that he must go to that planet immediately and meditate as soon as possible. Goku transfers all of his extra life energy to Master Roshi, but then realizes that there is no way to reach that planet because he cannot sense it. He recalls that Bills had brought him to King Kai’s place and now that Bills had gone he cannot take Roshi there. He then suddenly gets a superb idea and tells Roshi that they can use the Namek Dragon Balls one last ime to teleport him to that planet. Goku immediately uses instant transmission and goes to Planet Namek. He asks the nameks if he can use the Dragon Balls one last time and also explains the whole situation. They readily agree and summon Porungaa. Goku makes a first wish to teleport Master Roshi to the unknown planet where Shenron had left him last. Porunga thinks for a while and grants their wish. Roshi hugs Goku and disappears to the unknown planet for his long journey. Goku thinks in his mind and admires Master Roshi’s dedication and thanks him and remembers all the old memories with Master Roshi when he was a child.

Episode 5: Two more Wishes!!!

Meanwhile on Earth Gohan and Vegeta sense that Goku has returned back and try to find him. But they are not able to find here Goku is as he is on Planet Namek at that instance. They search everywhere but Goku is nowhere to be found in their sight. On Namek Goku still has 2 more wishes before destroying the Namek Dragon balls. Goku is perplexed and thinks hard on what to wish. He then recalls an important wish he wanted to make all these years but could not make it because there were other more important wishes to make at that time. The tells Porungaa to make him back to his original size that he was 2 years ago, before Emperor Pilaf turned him into a kid after training with Uub in the Hyperbolic Time-Chamber. Porungaa grants his wish and Goku becomes big once again. Goku cheers with joy and thanks Porungaa. Goku says he doesn’t have any more wishes so Porungaa can go now. But just before Porungaa leaves he remembers that Piccolo had helped him escape from hell when he went to fight Frieza and Cell. He also remembered the time Piccolo saved him when he was all out of power to save a child, from the earth exploding due to the Black Star Dragon Balls. He also remembered that Piccolo was in hell since the last 1 year. He stops Prungaa and asks him to bring Piccolo back to life. Porungaa tells Goku that because Piccolo showed his evil energy on the other world, he was sent in hell by King Yamma.  He could not be revived as he was already had been revived once when Majin Buu blew up the earth which he had restored, several years ago. Goku asks Porungaa if there is any possible way of bringing Piccolo back to life. Porungaa tells Goku that he must convince King Yama to grant him another life and ask him to retain his previous body. Goku asks Porungaa to teleport him to King Yama. He tells the nameks before leaving to destroy all the dragon balls for good. The nameks then destroy the dragon balls and Goku arrives at King Yama’s place. He tells King Yama to fulfill his wish and request King Yama to grant Piccolo another life and give him the same body as before. King Yama gets angry but then listens to Goku’s request because the saved the universe from the evil effects of enimies like Majin Buu and the Shadow Dragons. Piccolo finds himself back on earth totally surprised. He doesn’t believe that he has been brought back to life. But Goku has a smile on his face.

Episode 6: Union of Old Friends!!!

Goku then uses instant transmission to go to King Kai’s place and thank him for his wonderful plan. On earth Vegeta and Gohan sense Piccolo and instantly and rush to him. They ask Piccolo how he had come back to life. Piccolo tells that he has absolutely no idea how this happened. Vegeta tells Piccolo all about the past few years and about the Shadow Dragons. They also tell him that they sensed that somehow Goku was back. While these three are talking, Goku suddenly appears behind them. Gohan cannot believe what he is seeing and hugs his father. He asks how and why did he come back on earth. Goku tells then about the whole story of the dragon balls and that he sent Master Roshi to do what he was told. He tells them that Master Roshi didn’t have any other work on earth except reading magazines and cracking jokes so he was the only appropriate person he could think of. Vegeta tells Goku that he had been training severely since the last few months and since he had the ability to transform into a super saiyan 4, he wanted to finish their long awaited battle they had once promised each other. Goku thinks for a while but then he says that he has to eat something first because he is normal now and he doesn’t have the extra life which he had earlier when shenron gave it to him.  Goku meets his family and everybody is overjoyed to see him. After eating a heavy meal Goku rests for a while. Then Goku and Vegeta then decide to fight in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to finish their old battle since they both have the same power level as Super saiyan 4. So they head to Dende’s tower to begin live action!!!

This will sound stupid but what is DBO

very strange

In the beginning of dragon ball gt a heros legacy the narater saids that all the z fighters except pan die of old age (master roshi is not a z fighter stop wondering about his death he will live forever) the film even shows goku's grave stone but at the end he shows up he can't be visiting earth for a day he had no Harlow he is also seen without Halow in the finale episode of dragon ball gt (he is seen at the end of the episode which takes place after a heros legacy) so is he dead or not

I had a friend who was subscribed to beckett for the longest time. He told me there was a story about some of the Z-fighters ends. I remember hearing something about a desert, espcially regarding yamcha. Are there any diehard beckett magazine fans here who could answer this question?

i think that goku fuses with shenron for eternal life and ultimate power

The 'Died Before Age 889' Tag Depends on If You Take GT or DBO as the Future

There's no point in starting another debate about if GT is canon or not. I think everyone is tired of it anyway.

Instead, let's see GT as simply another route you could take with the future.

We have to do this because Dragonball Online (DBO) and GT both contradict each other on a few occasions.

The most notable would be Majin Buu creating a wife and family. This cannot possibly happen in the GT timeline, yet would work in the DBZ to DBO timeline.

So that said, the tag only applies for the GT timeline.

For the DBZ to DBO timeline, certain deaths like Mr Satan are stated, while the others we can only say they died after DBZ ends but before DBO begins, Age 784 to Age 1000.

As for some of the theories people have been throwing around here:

I understood Elder Kai sacrificing his life for Goku's as him taking Goku's place among the dead, NOT giving him 1000 years of life.

Goku not having a halo in A Hero's Legacy could be explained by him aging naturally. He was younger than Pan during GT and being a full blooded Saiyan could account for his appearence. A grave for Goku could simply be in his honor, not an actual marker of where his body is.

If you have anything to say about Goku fusing with the Dragonballs and your name is NOT Akira Toriyama, it is a theory. You can't say he is immortal, you can't say he's the Eternal Dragon, and you can't say he's a god and have it hold water because there is nothing to back that up.

The next steps...

Well, we don't know how they die, but they're are several fan made spin offs after GT. Dragon Ball AF, Ultimate Z , V, SF, X, H, NEO, HOSHI, Heroes, GF, and Absalon. There are actually several more, but they are all fan made and none are stated to be cannon. There is a different DBX, DBXS, DBXD, SSSSProject, there is just so many. You will have to watch and read for yourselves to see what you think happens next.

Dragon Ball AF- This is actually what started it, AF is really just (April Fool's) a joke as a continuation. However, it sparked a lot of interesting ideas.

Dragon Ball Ultimate Z- This from what I have found is basically trash, I can't find a whole lot about it though.

Dragon Ball V- Has quite and interesting little story, it takes place after GT with Piccolo in Hell. He meets King Piccolo and they end up becoming Emperor Piccolo and tries to destroy Earth. It's only a couple of SAGAS, but I found it slightly entertaining.

Dragon Ball X- This story takes place during Gohan's fight with Buutenks. In this series, Gohan catches the earing, and he and Goku becoe Gokan. They destroy Buutenks, and a few years later all the souls of hell join in one body to kill Goku. They arrive but Gokan is waiting.

Dragon Ball Heroes/Hoshi/H- Dragon Ball Heroes is a game in which a character is sucked into a DBZ game, and becomes a Z fighter alongside Goku. It takes place right after GT. Dragon Ball H is an abbreviation. Dragon Ball Hoshi is a made up cluster of clips and videos to make you think that there is a new series under way. Hoshi is fake.

Dragon Ball Neo- Haven't found a lot on it, but something about a SSJ Neo form. The form after SSJ5. Only Vegito or Gogeta can use it I think.

Dragon Ball SF- Is a continuation after GT that was created by Nikon 23. He follows the manga and anime and fills in the wholes between GT and a Hero's Legacy. It stands for "Stronest Fighter."

Dragon Ball GF- This series comes after SF. It stands for Grand Finale, and is the gap between SF and a Hero's Legacy.

Dragon Ball Multi-Verse- This is a tournement brought together in which different Z universes fight one another. Not like the Universes in Battle of Gods. But the old age Saiyans do battle with our saiyans, and their is a universe where Kakarot completed his mission and destroyed Earth. He was with Vegeta's posse. It is utterly goofy, but I enjoyed it the first time.

Dragon Ball Absalon- Where do I begin. I was amazed by "Mellavelli's" creation I think this should be considered the official next step I was a little taken back by Majuub and Pan being married and having kids, but I overall thought that this was the shit. I'm not giving you a summary, Watch it for yourself, there are only 2 episodes out right now, but I promise true DB fans will love it.

Dragon Ball NB- Takes place after a Hero's Legacy. I don' know very much about it.

Dragon Ball RN- Another manga based story, I also couldn't find a whole lot about it.

Dragon Ball Online-  Is technically the official continuation of the Manga after DBZ. It totally disreguard GT.

Final Synapsis: Ok, Dragon Ball Absalon is definitley my favorite. I would say though, that SF and GF fit together with GT and a Hero's Legacy perfectly. DBO is actually part of the series, so it is not fan made and therefore is the best. But I thought they were all pretty stupid except Absalon and the SF and GF series. SF and GF explain a lot of stuff. Unfortunatley the SF/GF storylines do not fit together with Absalon, so I have to say I like Absalon better. But the rest are pretty trash. None the less they are all (except Hoshi) part of the DB Universe. -UltimateSSJ1-
