Form Change[1] (形態変化 Keitai Henka) is a special ability of the Bio-Android Cell. He powers up by changing his form through the absorption of the Androids 17 and 18.
Overview
By absorbing one of the Androids, Imperfect Cell will change into Semi-Perfect Cell, and then by absorbing the other Android, he will change into Perfect Cell. While Cell's initial appearance is bug-like, absorbing the Androids causes him to gain a more humanoid form, causing his wings to vanish. After reaching his Perfect Form, he attains his perfect speed, strength, and other traits. He also regains his wings in this form.

Form Change appears in most video games that Cell appears in, as his transformation method.
