Masaharu Satō

Masaharu Satō (佐藤 正治; born on July 1, 1946, in Tokyo) is a Japanese voice actor currently working for Aoni Production. He is considered one of the top supporting Japanese actors in the world, along with the late Kōji Totani.

Biography[]

Satō is most known for the roles of Buffaloman, Sunshine in Kinnikuman, Miyamoto Musashi in Yaiba, Adah in Mushiking: King of the Beetles, and Dora-med III in The Doraemons. He is also known for playing numerous roles in the Kinnikuman and Fist of the North Star.

He voiced Pagos in Dr. Slump, the Bear Thief in Dragon Ball, Staff Officer Black in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT, Dore in Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge, King Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, and King Cold, Goz and Mr. Musuka in the Dragon Ball Z filler episodes "Warriors of the Dead", "Goz and Mez" and "Blackmail" respectively. He voiced Master Roshi in Dragon Ball Z Kai, and in the movies Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods replacing the departed Kōhei Miyauchi. He also voiced Shenron on occasion in the Dragon Ball Z anime and movies.

Satō also made a voice guest in episode 3 of GoGo Sentai Boukenger and Juken Sentai Gekiranger as a rare moment.
