Summary[]

SDBHDDR15-6

Mechikabura's Time Power Unleashed form

Following Mechikabura's unexpected attack on the Time Patrol-Demigra Army alliance, Xeno Trunks is the only one still standing, which he attributes to the Key Sword weakening the power of darkness. After a brief talk with an injured Xeno Goten, Xeno Trunks charges at Mechikabura, who stands atop his tower. Mechikabura easily blocks the attack with his fingertip and blasts Trunks away, taking the sword, Mechikabura admires the sword, musing on how it was created by a god to seal the Demon Realm, and tosses it far away after releasing that he is unable to destroy the weapon.

Mechikabura uses the Demon God Summoning Ritual to teleport the previously defeated Demon Gods, Gravy, Putine, Salsa, Shroom and Xeno Dabura to him. The Demon Gods apologise for allowing the Hell Gates' seals to be destroyed but Mechikabura proclaims that he no longer has any use for them. Mechikabura traps the Demon Gods in a black orb which he absorbs into himself, allowing him to take on his Time Power Unleashed form, growing thick horns and claws in the process. He then heads off to the Time Nest, now having the power necessary to destroy its barrier, with the intention of absorbing Tokitoki.

Super Saiyan God Xeno Trunks charges into battle

Chronoa asks Xeno Trunks to pursue Mechikabura and save Tokitoki. Trunks tells Xeno Pan to stay behind and look after the others, and she offers to give him some of her ki. The other wounded fighters contribute as well, inadvertently fulfilling the criteria to transform Trunks into a Super Saiyan God.

At the now-ruined Time Nest, Mechikabura demands that Old Kai give him Tokitoki. He adamantly refuses, as doing so would result in the end of the world, and Mechikabura prepares to kill him. Suddenly Xeno Trunks and Chronoa arrive through a portal, and Trunks attacks Mechikabura. Mechikabura is impressed by Xeno Trunks' godly power, however before the battle can truly begin Fin - now in his Ultimate Evolution form - is brought to the Time Nest by Towa to defend him. Towa explains to Mechikabura that Fin has now absorbed the DNA of warriors from many timelines, and has now achieved his ultimate form.

Mechikabura's black hole

Fin launches a Void Energy Flare, and Xeno Trunks panics for the safety of the Supreme Kais behind him. Chronoa uses Freeze to halt the blasts, allowing Xeno Trunks to quickly defeat Fin after kicking him hard to the ground and blasting him. Xeno Trunks then charges at Mechikabura, but Mechikabura pulls the watching Towa in front of him as a human shield and Trunks' sword impales her instead. Trunks decries him for using an ally as a shield, and Mechikabura declares that the only thing that matters is power. He forms a black hole that sucks in everything around him, as he begins absorbing time itself.

Game and Manga differences[]

  • Mechikabura doesn't absorb his allies until after the attack on the Time Nest in the game.
    • Salsa and Shroom are not among the absorbed Demon Gods in the game.
  • The rest of the Time Patrol help defend the Time Nest in the game.
    • Demigra was also present during these events in the game, as his wish to Dark Shenron had already been performed.
  • The Super Saiyan God ritual is accidentally performed in the manga, rather than being intentionally suggested by Chronoa like in the game.
  • Fin attains his Ultimate Evolution form after absorbing the DNA of warriors from various histories in the manga, instead of by copying the data of the Shadow Dragons of the Dark Dragon Balls in the game.
  • Old Kai doesn't appear during these events in the game.
  • Mechikabura using Towa as a shield only happens in the manga.

Trivia[]

  • This chapter and its events are loosely based on the end of the Mechikabura's Chaotic Castle Saga added in Universe Mission 10, and the Death Duel in Darkness Saga added in Universe Mission 11.
