The Power of the Dark (暗黒の力 Ankoku no Chikara) is a technique created by the Masked Saiyan in his Great Ape form.

Masked Saiyan as a Great Ape can open a crack in space-time and send his opponents to the far reaches of space-time by grabbing him and throwing into it. The opponent is randomly selected, and the selected one is permanently removed until the match is over.

This technique made its debut and was named in Dragon Ball Heroes, where it is used by Great Ape Masked Saiyan during his boss fights in the Dark Demon Realm Saga and the Dark Demon Realm Invasion Saga.
Trivia[]
- This technique is similar to Scatter Attacks in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 which is a technique used by Boss characters in Expert Missions that knocks the Time Patrollers fighting them into other dimension of spacetime and has a variant used by Great Apes. However Scatter Attacks differ in that they knock Time Patrollers into nearby Area-connecting Gates which are used by the Time Patrol to connect different areas of spacetime together to allow for faster travel. Additionally, Time Patrollers hit by Scatter Attacks can still use the gates to return to the area of spacetime where the boss was by defeating enemies and/or if one of their allies avoids getting knocked back, destroys the rock-like crystals sealing the gates which are also tied to the health of the enemy in the area teammates have been scattered.
- The Great Ape Scatter Attack variant involves the Great Ape (or Golden Great Ape in Great Ape Baby's case) Energy Punch focusing energy into their fist then punching the ground causing a shockwave capable of knocking Time Patrollers into Area-connectimg Gates. Other than that, its effects are basically identical to the standard Scatter Attack.
