Biography

Background

Out of the many gods in the multiverse, Beerus is one of the most feared. He is feared by the Kais, Supreme Kais, King Cold, Frieza, Cooler, King Vegeta and his son Vegeta, and even Shenron himself. As a God of Destruction, he is tasked with maintaining balance in the universe. Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7, and his administrative zone includes planet Earth. He slumbers for several years to several decades straight, and he destroys planets in his administrative zone during the few years when he is awake. This is because destruction is required in order to create new planets, but he does not act on the Supreme Kais' orders, nor does he try to coordinate his actions with them; the god destroys according to his own judgment. Also, because he is quite capricious, Beerus destroys even important planets "without a second thought." When he finds it bothersome, he lets someone else act as an agent of destruction. While he is awake, tense days for the Supreme Kais continue, as nobody knows how many planets will be sacrificed.

Having existed for at least seventy-five million years (hundreds of millions of years per the anime), at some point in time Beerus was trained in martial arts by Whis. Beerus once lost an arm-wrestling against one of the other Gods of Destruction, in the anime, it was implied to be Belmod, while in the manga, it was Quitela. Once every 1,000 years, the Supreme Kais and the Gods of Destruction go to each other's realms and hold a coordination meeting. During one of these meetings held 75 Million Before Age, they got into an argument "over some trifling situation", and the short-tempered Beerus sealed the Supreme Kai at the time away inside the Z Sword, as it would not have been proper for him to destroy the Sacred World of the Kai itself. Once, he stopped by the Time Nest and met Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time. Another day, he stopped by King Kai's Planet, which was larger at the time. He and King Kai played hide-and-seek (or a car-racing video game depending on the version), and Beerus lost, so the planet was destroyed by the peeved Destroyer. King Kai then took a large leftover fragment, whittled it down to a sphere, and built a road on it so that he could have fun driving there. This became King Kai's current planet. In the anime, Beerus claims that he made his planet smaller because he "didn't like the food".

One time on Beerus' birthday, he ate the only Puff Puff Fruit that was on his cake. Champa got furious because Beerus ate it and it was also his birthday, both Beerus and Champa fought throughout the universe, destroying multiple planets. The two are eventually stopped by their attendants because their destruction could lead to the end of the universe, but both Beerus and Champa established they did not care. Beerus and Champa have an agreement "not to have fighting showdowns, but rather have food showdowns instead".

In the manga, at some point in time, Beerus participated in the All Universe Hide and Seek Tournament held by Zeno. But when he hid and fell asleep for fifty years during the tournament, it had to be canceled. Zeno, who was enjoying the event, became furious and had to be calmed down by the gods from the 11 universes. Since then, the other Gods of Destruction have felt disdain towards Beerus.

One time when Beerus woke up, he sneezed and blew up of two of his world's Suns, causing Whis to re-do time preventing him from doing it again. Beerus also claims that he once went to Earth, and dinosaurs "took a rude attitude" toward him, so he wiped them out, however their extinction was thwarted by the time-travelling Arale - resulting in the creation of Earth's moon. At some point in time, Beerus met Frieza. The two got along fairly well as they both enjoyed destroying things. However, one-time Frieza got carried away and caused Beerus to get angry, with Beerus fighting Frieza and easily defeating the tyrant. Another day, King Vegeta treated Beerus and Whis to a feast in his palace on Planet Vegeta and Beerus used the Saiyan King as a footrest while he was eating. Prince Vegeta, who was just a child at that time, saw this and became upset, but remained silent. In Dragon Ball Super, Beerus had tasked King Vegeta with finding the best pillow in the universe which he achieved through a brutal military campaign destroying several civilizations in the process, though Beerus was willing to overlook it as long as King Vegeta handed the pillow over to him as requested, the Saiyan King foolishly tried to pass off the second most comfortable pillow as the first which was discovered by Beerus, though King Vegeta submitted to Beerus' punishment and thus both King Vegeta and Planet Vegeta were sparred from immediate destruction. Beerus also allowed the young Prince Vegeta to live despite his willingness to attack him as he saw potential in the young Saiyan Prince. Before going to sleep, Beerus granted Frieza permission to destroy Planet Vegeta because the Saiyans annoyed him and due to King Vegeta's disobedience, though Frieza ultimately chose to do so due to his own fear of the Saiyans growing power and their potential to become Super Saiyans. Beerus also considered destroying Frieza but never went through with it.

In Age 739, Beerus is told a prophecy by the Oracle Fish that in thirty-nine years, he would face an opponent that would excite him called, the Super Saiyan God. After he is told this, Beerus goes to sleep.

Dragon Ball Super

Beerus has awoken from thirty-nine years of slumber and in the anime is joined by Whis visiting a planet inhabited by pig-like humanoids. Beerus investigates most of his food they presented him by just touching it and sniffing it; he forgets his manners as pointed out by Whis. Beerus asks about one of the dishes they brought him, which he believes to be dessert. After eating it, Beerus states that it is tastier than he expected and compliments the use of salt in the dish. However, he complains about it having too much grease. After deciding, Beerus destroys half the planet with a mere tap on the table. Before leaving, Whis states that what Beerus did was a bit harsh, since he thought the planet's food was tasty. However, Beerus complains about the grease in the food, stating that it is unhealthy and makes one sluggish all day. Beerus then proclaims that he had done the galaxy a favor.

While waiting for dinosaur meat on his planet, Beerus tries to remember his dream of the warrior who he still not seems to remember. Impatient after waiting 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Beerus travels with Whis on another planet, who was supposed to get a full 3 minutes, and encounters the leader, after stubbornly refusing dinosaur meat, despite Whis' pleading efforts, the arrogant chief transforms into a monstrous form to combat Beerus, who arrived to confront him. Beerus effortlessly blocks the leader's punches with one finger and dodges all of his blasts. The leader tries to burn him with a fireball attack, but to no avail, as Beerus simply throws it back at him using his finger. He eventually defeats the leader. Beerus, having enough of the insolence the leader has shown, and never minding the dinosaur meat, destroys the planet with a small ki ball. As he and Whis were watching the planet's destruction, Beerus sees a silhouette of the warrior from his dream and starts to remember the name of the powerful warrior who could entertain him endlessly. Beerus begins to remember the name and confirms the name of the warrior like none other than the Super Saiyan God. After a few questions, Beerus and Whis return home.

In the manga, these events transpire slightly differently. Instead of being shown visiting multiple planets, Beerus instead goes to one planet, which has insectoid natives. When Beerus is having his meal on the planet he finds that the drink they have given him is poisoned - though this does nothing to the god - the insectoids then attempt to attack Beerus with their crossbows, he easily destroys the entire planet with Wrath of the God of Destruction. As they are floating in space watching the planet's destruction, Beerus notes that one of the dishes he had "Soup Yasi Jinkot" reminded him of a prophetic dream he had of the "Super Saiyan God", and so he and Whis head back to Beerus' planet so he can try and remember better.

On the way back to his planet, Beerus continues to remember the name of the figure and starts to want something sweet for thinking so long. After traveling so long, Beerus starts to question Whis' speed and is reminded that he is the fastest in the universe. Once they arrive, Beerus summons the Oracle Fish to remember the warrior of his dream. The Oracle Fish seems to not remember and was threatened by Beerus to remember, or she will get fed only twice a day instead of three times. After hearing this, the Oracle Fish remembered and confirms that the warrior's name is indeed the Super Saiyan God, which confirms Beerus' dream. Whis objects that this warrior never existed, and wonders if the Saiyans knew, but he remembered that he told Frieza to destroy Planet Vegeta because the Saiyans were "repulsive".

While taking a bath, Whis confirms Beerus that a few Saiyans survived the genocide, much to his surprise, and they all live on Earth. He also mentions that Frieza was defeated by a Saiyan known as Goku, who could become a Super Saiyan. Beerus, intrigued, seeks to find Goku, who currently is training on King Kai's Planet, to confront him about the Super Saiyan God warrior. Beerus and Whis make their way to King Kai's planet, taking 26 minutes, as they have planned to eat grilled salmon on the way there. Mentioned by Old Kai, since Beerus' awakening, he has destroyed eight and one-half of the universe's planets. On his way to King Kai's planet, Beerus complains about the food Whis packed for him, having "tired" of what he was eating, even though he had it once 160 years before when he destroyed Planet Monser, according to Whis. They would arrive at King Kai's planet in 10 minutes.

After King Kai's failed efforts to stop them from making contact, Beerus notices the hiding Goku, meeting him, and questions whether or not he is the Super Saiyan God from his dream. Goku (who goes from Super Saiyan to Super Saiyan 3) immediately challenges him to a sparring match but is unable to land a single hit on the god of destruction. Beerus then counters by flicking Goku in the forehead, then immediately knocks him down with a pressure-point jab in the shoulder. He then leaves with Whis to find Vegeta at Bulma's birthday party.

Upon arriving on Earth, Beerus finds Vegeta and starts messing with him by appearing elsewhere. Beerus stops and tries to remind Vegeta about him remembering Beerus being involved in his childhood, however, Vegeta still does not remember until he is paralyzed by Beerus, which causes him to recall their last encounter involving his father, King Vegeta. Beerus asks Vegeta if he knows of the Super Saiyan God, which comes to Vegeta's surprise. Bulma comes and greets Beerus and Whis and invites them to her party. Beerus and Whis greet the other attendees of the party. Beerus is approached by Yamcha and conversed, and gave him a friendly smack at the back, much to Vegeta's worry, knowing Beerus' temperament. As Krillin shows up and presents Beerus Russian Octopus Balls, one is full of wasabi. After Beerus takes one, he becomes seemingly disgusted, to Vegeta's chagrin, but suddenly, he explodes in joy, Beerus enjoys the food, while describing its deliciousness.

Beerus still seeks out the Super Saiyan God, but Whis told him that most of the Saiyans are children and that Goku and Vegeta are the only pure-blooded Saiyans. Vegeta arrives and brings more Russian Octopus Balls even Beerus is getting full and annoyed. He asks Vegeta about his relationship with Goku and was told that he is his rival. Before eating a Russian Octopus Ball, Trunks strikes Beerus with water from his water gun, which greatly infuriates Beerus. Beerus threatens to blow up the Earth, but Vegeta calms him down by causing a scene: diving into the ocean and blasting an octopus and starts making more Octopus Balls. Beerus calms down and hears of pudding by Whis.

Majin Buu and Beerus face-off

Beerus and Whis encounter Mr. Satan and Good Buu, who is eating pudding. Whis asks Majin Buu for pudding for both him and Beerus, but Majin Buu refuses. Beerus gets angry with Majin Buu and they begin to fight. Beerus attacks Majin Buu and blasts him into the ocean. Gotenks tries to help Buu but was easily beaten by Beerus by just getting tapped on the forearm. In the manga, Gotenks goes Super Saiyan 3 and was thrown into the ocean. Beerus was then challenged by Piccolo, Android 18, and Tien Shinhan. He dodges all of their attacks with ease and uses a Kiai to subdue them. Majin Buu gets back up and challenges Beerus again. Gohan charges up and attempts to help, but Beerus hits Majin Buu into Gohan. Beerus is lastly engaged by Super Saiyan Vegeta. Beerus merely paralyzes Vegeta and throws him to the ground. Beerus compares Vegeta's weakness to his father while he smashes his head to the deck of the ship. Beerus then gathers energy for a finger beam and was approached by Bulma, who slaps him. However, Beerus smiles at her, and he slaps Bulma back, enraging Vegeta.

Beerus is challenged by Super Saiyan 2 (Enraged) Vegeta, who is able to hit Beerus. Vegeta takes the fight over an ocean and Beerus gets blasted with a Galick Gun. Beerus is not hurt by Vegeta's attack but told him that he hasn't used 10% of his power in a long time. Beerus then flicks Vegeta, making him fall to the ground. Beerus is ready to destroy the Earth but doesn't know if he should, due to the fact that Earth has pleasing food and wants to eat it. Bulma tells Beerus not to blow up the Earth and he gives them one chance to redeem themselves. Beerus scouts and then chooses Oolong for a game of rock-paper-scissors because he thinks he is the same race as Majin Buu.

Oolong is scared of challenging Beerus because the fate of the Earth is in his hands. Beerus declares that if he doesn't play, he'll destroy the Earth anyway. Beerus and Oolong play and they both tie the first to two times with scissors. Beerus thinks that Oolong is cheating, but Oolong says that he can't be if he didn't win. For the third time, Beerus wins using rock while Oolong uses scissors for the third time. Beerus gets excited and gets ready to destroy the Earth. Beerus creates an energy sphere and is ready to launch it, but Goku shows up and asks Beerus for time to bring the Super Saiyan God.

Goku summons Shenron using the Dragon Balls and asks if he knows of the Super Saiyan God. Goku also mentions Beerus, who scares Shenron. Beerus orders Shenron to summon the Super Saiyan God, but Shenron is unable to do so. Shenron, however, tells him how to make the form by doing a ritual using five righteous Saiyans flowing their energy into one other. When Shenron finishes, Beerus rushes the Saiyans to get started. After the first failed attempt by a miscalculation, Beerus wants to destroy the Earth but is told by Videl that there is a sixth Saiyan and she is pregnant. Gohan is excited and uses Videl in the ritual. After it doesn't work again, they start focusing their spirit into each other and it starts to work. While the ritual is close to finishing, Beerus sees the Super Saiyan God silhouette in resemblance to Goku. After Goku has transformed, Beerus applauds Goku and they are both excited to fight.

Beerus and Goku are ready to fight, so they fly into the clouds. Beerus requests Goku to show him the full power of a Super Saiyan God. Beerus understands that Goku hasn't fully adjusted to the power, which makes Beerus not want to move when Goku attacked. Beerus wants Goku to use more of his power so which Goku charges a Kamehameha. Beerus easily vanishes away from Goku's technique, though the attack did impress Beerus. After being suggested by Goku to actually fight, Beerus tells him that no one in the universe is stronger than him. Beerus easily blocks Goku's moves and begins to punch Goku too, and Goku has to retreat to rethink his strategy. Beerus catches up due to having more speed, and after Goku tried to punch Beerus, he counters and punches him back, sending Goku into the ocean. Goku rushes back to attack, but Beerus continues to move at an intense speed to get hits on Goku making his arm burn. They both want to continue the fight, but higher in the atmosphere. As Goku gradually adjusts to the new level of power, he is able to dodge Beerus' attacks.

After being hit by Goku, Beerus launches a sphere ball, but it was deflected. Beerus continues to block Goku's attacks, but one scratches Beerus's face and Goku jokingly flicks and chops Beerus to get even. Beerus is tired of playing around and wants to begin a serious battle between gods. Beerus and Goku charge at each other and Beerus gets knocked into the clouds. However, this does not faze Beerus, and he returns the favor to Goku. Beerus and Goku throw several attacks at each other. Goku notices that Beerus is using much of his power. While Goku was speaking to him, Beerus is finished talking and attacks him. This leads them to landing on an island. Beerus is tired of fighting Goku and sends him off into space.

Beerus claims have a technique that could destroy the Earth if Goku isn't careful. Beerus launches an attack toward Earth, similar to an atom, but it gets blown up by Goku. Beerus creates more of these and fires them away. They all get blown up, however, by a Kamehameha. Beerus seems to think that Goku isn't one who he was looking for while punching his hand through his abdomen. Beerus's moves send Goku falling toward the Earth, into the ocean. Goku comes back and tells Beerus that Super Saiyan God hasn't reached its limits yet, and he has more power to show. Beerus claims that he has more power too.

As they see Bulma and co. in the ship, Beerus and Goku decide to go higher in Earth's atmosphere. As they were rising, Beerus gets behind Goku to redo the chop to the neck trick he did previous, but Goku catches his hand before he could do so. Beerus and Goku begin to raise their ki and charge at each other like comets; their attacks colliding cause waves to flow throughout the universe. Beerus and Goku do this two times and are asked by Kibito Kai to cease because they could destroy the universe, but they continue anyway.

On the third strike, Goku hits Beerus with the same amount of force at the same angle, which doesn't cause destruction upon the universe. At another attempt, Goku still does the same to not destroy the universe. They start throwing punches and kicks at each other. Beerus then fires Goku an atomic like energy move, which Goku counters with a Kamehameha. After moments of the collision struggle, a beam of light occurs throughout the universe. The beam the two created made a ki ball. Beerus is able to hold his own in the collision, which causes disasters on Earth and rifts in the universe. This collision eventually explodes afterward. Beerus claims that he nullified the energy and used up 100% of his power to do so. He then gets furious that he could possibly lose the fight and exerting his power. Beerus and Goku get close to each other to touch fists. Beerus quickly attacks Goku after he does so. Goku also gets some blows in, but eventually is not able to keep up due to his time limit in Super Saiyan God and reverted into Super Saiyan.

The Beerus Ball

Beerus is dodging Goku's attacks until he gets hit. Beerus is wondering why he was able to hit him and figures out that Goku is able to because he absorbed Super Saiyan God's power into his own. They both continue their brawl and make their way back to Earth. Beerus becomes disappointed in Goku because he expected more. Beerus clones himself and fires an atomic bomb at Goku. He thinks he won, but Goku charges at him and they both go back to space. Beerus tells Goku tell he regrets being obsessed with the prophecy of the Super Saiyan God. Beerus has decided to beat Goku with the way they started, a flick to the forehead. However Goku ruined Beerus's "cool ending" by returning to continue fighting. While Goku is in the process of charging a Kamehameha, Beerus is charging an atomic bomb as they both fire it at each other. The collision of the two attacks creates a powerful Beerus Ball. Goku is struggling to push back the sphere, so he decides to blow up the energy sphere by punching it. However Goku runs out of power in doing so, so he falls down to Earth and Beerus follows.

Beerus "falls asleep"

Beerus is ready to destroy the Earth, but in the process, Beerus falls asleep, so he doesn't blow up the Earth. Beerus is taken by Whis back to his planet. Whis notes that Earth has changed Beerus, and Beerus responded that he didn't use 100% of his power and told Goku that because he wanted to see his potential. In the manga, Beerus returns almost immediately after to tell Goku that he's the second strongest warrior that he's ever faced, then he immediately leaves again.

Golden Frieza Saga

Beerus after waking up

After Beerus fought with Goku, Beerus goes back to sleep. When Vegeta and Goku come in to change his sheets, Beerus attacks Goku several times while he's sleeping. Four months later, Beerus eventually wakes up when Goku and Vegeta were sparring and sneezed a ki blast when a butterfly was fluttering past his nose while Goku, Vegeta, and Whis are training, resulting in one of the moons being destroyed. Beerus wonders how Goku and Vegeta came to his home and why they want to train with Whis, and then questions Whis on what he brought for him. Beerus then figures out that Whis has been visiting Earth, but he tells him that he only went to Earth to be a food taster for Beerus as he tells him that there are delicious foods on Earth.

Beerus is watching Goku and Vegeta spar with each other. When their match has been stopped by Whis, Beerus suggests and orders Whis to send them to "that place" to get stronger. Beerus is devouring pizza while Goku and Vegeta are training. Beerus is asked by Whis if it was too soon to send Goku and Vegeta to "that place," but he says that they'll be fine because they need to be pushed to become stronger. He also says that he needs Goku and Vegeta to get stronger so he could play with them. As Goku and Vegeta are training by themselves in "that place", Beerus was seen eating pizza while sitting on a chair, eventually eating them all up. He then asks Whis to get him more but Whis said there aren't any left, making Beerus annoyed for a second.

Seeing this, Whis then told Beerus that he does have some extra pizza but is unavailable because he needs his staff to get it and the staff is with Goku and Vegeta. Whis questioned Beerus that he already forgot that it was his decision that to sent Goku and Vegeta to that place, however, Beerus denied it. Right after that, Beerus commented that his meal is more important, so Whis transported Goku and Vegeta back along with his staff. Unexpectedly, a heap of empty pizza boxes fell onto Beerus, and Goku told Whis that it was those pizzas that came out from his staff that saved them from starving. Beerus then angrily jumps out from the pizza box pile, shouting to Goku and Vegeta how dare they eat all his pizzas. Much to his surprise, Goku and Vegeta then decided to run away and hide in the forest but Beerus decided to chase them. During the chase, Goku told Beerus that he and Vegeta had no idea and Vegeta said it was stupid of Beerus for sending him and Goku to That Place, Beerus immediately scolded Vegeta that he should watch his tone since he is talking to a God of Destruction. Beerus hears of a strawberry parfait when Whis gets in contact with Bulma. As Goku and Vegeta are heading to Earth using Instant Transmission, Beerus and Whis watch them teleport away.

Beerus notices Champa and Vados in Universe 7

Beerus and Whis leave his planet to travel to Earth so they can eat the sundae that Bulma prepared for them. Once they get four minutes from Earth, Whis stops warping and notices Champa and Vados in Universe 7. Beerus says it's no business for the God of Destruction from the sixth universe to be in the seventh. Beerus believes that Champa is trying to steal his food but Champa claims that he's just visiting. Beerus thinks he is lying with his statements so he wants to fight him, but Champa insists that Vados should do so because he's lazy. However, she doesn't but they continue their "visit" in the seventh universe. Beerus and Whis watch as Champa and Vados leave and Beerus questions it, saying they're being suspicious. As soon as they reach Earth, Beerus immediately asks for the sundae and also threatens the Earth's safety if he doesn't receive it. Beerus and Whis then receive the sundae Bulma brought with her. They go on to enjoy the sundae while watching Goku and Golden Frieza fight. Beerus is impressed by Frieza's improvements and notices that Goku is having a hard time keeping up. Beerus is eating the sundae when he is pointed out by Frieza, who is shocked to see him. Beerus is continuously asked by Frieza if he was planning to interfere with his revenge, but Beerus says he's only there to eat the sundae any and does not plan to interfere with any match because he's the God of Destruction. He tells Bulma if she, along with the others, wants to live, they should be next to him because he'll protect his ice cream.

Universe 6 Saga

Champa and Vados meet Beerus and Whis

Beerus is asleep on his planet until Whis is told by Champa to wake him up. Beerus is annoyed and wonders what Champa and Vados wanted. He is challenged to a brotherly battle of foods. Beerus presents Champa noodles and Champa brings an egg from his universe. Champa is curious about Beerus' choice and asks him where he received it. He is told that he got it from Earth and Champa realizes that his universe has an Earth, but humanity was wiped out due to war. Champa offers a tournament between their universes of five fighters from their universes in exchange for Earth's. After Whis explains why Beerus and Champa don't fight each other anymore, they discuss the details for the tournament. The rules will be the same as the Tenkaichi Budokai and will be in five Earth days on the Nameless Planet at 10 a.m. If Champa won, he would use the Super Dragon Balls to switch the universes' Earth. If Beerus won, he will give him the six Dragon Balls he collected but Beerus has to find the last one on his own. Beerus assembles a team made up of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Good Buu, and the "strongest" person he's ever faced. Vegeta and Goku go to Earth to get Bulma to invent a new Dragon Radar.

Beerus watches as Frost transforms

On the day of the tournament, Whis transports everyone to the Nameless Planet. Beerus is angry that Champa has previously invaded his universe to gather Super Dragon Balls. Vegeta notices that there's a new attendee in the ship, whom Whis says he's the strongest warrior Beerus has ever faced, Monaka. When Monaka mentions that his name means "large nipples", Beerus says that it is unneeded. The group starts playing Shiritori while waiting to arrive on the planet. When it is Beerus' turn to say a word, he says a word that ends with n. Upon the arrival at the Nameless Planet, Beerus shouts at Champa for stealing the Super Dragon Balls from his universe. He, however, lets it slide because they're brothers. The first round is between Goku and Universe 6's Botamo. After a short-lived battle, Goku beats Botamo due to a ring out. The next fighter for Universe 6 is Frost. Frost wins the match with an unknown technique. Beerus is mad at Goku because he lost to Frost when he could've beaten him easily, but Goku thought Super Saiyan was enough for Frost.

Beerus continuously gets teased by Champa because Champa winning and Beerus is losing. The matches continue with Piccolo as the next fighter for Universe 7. Piccolo loses to Frost, but Jaco objects saying Frost is cheating by using a needle. Beerus insists that the referee check Frost, even if Jaco was wrong and he didn't care if Champa destroyed him if he was lying. Jaco confirms that Frost was cheating, which should have disqualified him, but Vegeta insists that he fight Frost and beat him with his hands. Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan and easily beats Frost with one blow. Goku asks Beerus if he could rejoin the tournament because he only lost due to Frost's cheat. Beerus checks to see if Frost did cheat against Goku and upon confirming this, he allows Goku to reenter the matches. Goku wants to go after Monaka, but Beerus is reluctant, claiming he wants Monaka to fight last because he's the strongest. Whis asks Beerus if he should reveal his true identity, but Beerus says after it's over. He then shields Monaka, who is unconscious from seeing Goku's Kamehameha, from speaking with Goku and he tells him that if Monaka is disturbed while meditating, he will destroy that person regardless if it was a friend or foe and he destroyed a planet this way. Hearing this, Goku leaves Monaka alone for the moment which has Beerus relieved. As the tournament draws to a close Beerus watches as Champa threatens to destroy his whole team, and while congratulating Goku, however, he warns him about Champa is Universe 6 Gods of Destruction and he can't defeat him yet. He is advised by Whis a moment later that Zeno has arrived, shocking and greatly unsettling Beerus.

While Beerus is completely shocked by Zeno's arrival, Vegeta asks who the "shorty" is, and Beerus tells him that he is the ruler of the 12 universes, much to the shock of Vegeta and Piccolo. A few short moments after Zeno arrives, Beerus goes down to the arena with Whis, and Champa does the same with Vados coming with him. Beerus and Champa then welcome Zeno, with the Supreme Kais the following suit. Zeno then tells everyone the reason he came to the tournament was that Beerus and Champa were skipping their jobs as Gods of Destruction.

Whis then takes the opportunity to note all of the very lazy and irresponsible things he does as a God of Destruction, such as caring more about sleeping and consuming food than destroying planets. Vados points out the faults in her God of Destruction as well. Zeno then suggests he should appoint new Gods of Destruction, to Beerus and Champa's complete fear and surprise, but then Zeno notes it was a joke. When Goku attempts to shake Zeno's hand, Beerus is filled with fear and worry that Goku will mess up with speaking so casually, and even more worried when Goku lifts Zeno off his feet. Beerus is then relieved when Zeno returns to his home. Beerus makes the wish with the Super Dragon Balls, wishing for Universe 6's Earth along with the Earthlings to be restored, allowing Champa to be able to eat Earth's good food. Beerus then says that he only did this so Champa would be in his debt. Upon arriving back to Beerus' planet, he secretly puts treasure in Monaka's delivery truck, which was his compensation for his acting, and tells him that he will use him again in the future. He stays as Whis takes the Z-Fighters back to Earth.

Copy-Vegeta Saga

Beerus is invited along with Whis to Bulma's Universe 7 victory party. They tell her that they will invite Monaka, but they do not plan to. They arrive at Earth to see Monaka already there, having done a delivery to them and is worried that Goku will realize Monaka is weak. Beerus instructs everyone to keep Monaka's secret safe from Goku, who constantly asks Monaka to fight him. Eventually, Beerus is forced to fight Goku wearing a life-size Monaka costume, and throughout the fight, he must hold back enough so the costume would not rip. Vegeta and Piccolo try to intervene in his favor, but Beerus pushes them back, and grows excited from the fight, having not fought in a while due to spectating the entire tournament. "Monaka" and Goku are eventually stopped by Whis, who tells them they are about to deal massive damage to the surrounding area. At the end of the day, the secret is protected.

"Future" Trunks Saga

Beerus along with Whis, Goku, and Vegeta, are eating ramen on Beerus' planet when Whis gets a distress call from Bulma, informing Goku and Vegeta of Future Trunks' return. When the two teleports to Earth, Beerus and Whis accompany them. Upon meeting Future Trunks, Beerus realizes that he is a Trunks from the future, and he and Whis deduce that the humans have been manipulating time, calling it a serious offense. Beerus says they must be destroyed, but Future Trunks begs Whis (thinking he is the God) not to, not before being directed to Beerus. Beerus and Whis let it slide when Bulma feeds them fish sausages.

In the anime, Beerus watches Future Trunks' sparring match with Goku, impressed at his strength. When Goku Black appeared, Beerus and Whis take note of the Time Ring he is wearing, which only a Supreme Kai possessed. Beerus is also quick to point out that Goku Black is not Goku, as his ki is very different and strange. Later Beerus reveals he has felt that ki before but isn't able to place it. He later goes to Universe 10 with Whis and Goku because he has an idea of Black's true identity, a Supreme Kai apprentice named Zamasu. When Beerus, Whis, and Goku land on the Universe 10's Supreme Kai's realm, Beerus and Whis tell Gowasu about Black and that he did have a Time-Ring. Gowasu seems surprised at this and Beerus tells him he looks a lot like Goku. Beerus asks Gowasu that if he has all the Time-Rings present and Gowasu says yes. However, Beerus wants to see for himself and Gowasu shows the Time-Rings to Beerus in the temple. When Gowasu allows Zamasu to fight Goku, he tells him he should hold back. Beerus tells Zamasu and Gowasu if Zamasu should hold back, Zamasu would die. Beerus and Whis carefully observe the battle between Goku and Zamasu. Beerus and Whis eventually realize that Zamasu's ki was similar to Black's ki. When Goku finishes the match, Beerus tells Goku that they are going home. While they are going back, Whis says there is enough evidence to prove Zamasu is Black. Beerus says that he should have destroyed him while he had the chance, but Goku thought he was nice. In return, Beerus says he is too trusting. After, Whis is cooking Stir-Fry on Beerus's planet. Whis's staff goes off and Whis asks Beerus to answer it for him. Beerus says that they were busy and to call later. Suddenly the staff floats over to the middle of the table and Zeno appears before him. Beerus quickly bows before Zeno smashing his head through the side of his table in the process. Whis appears beside Beerus and greets Zeno. Zeno tells Beerus and Whis that he wants to meet Goku.

When Goku appears on Beerus' Planet, Beerus frantically explains the seriousness of heeding a call from Zeno. When it is suggested that Shin take Goku to Zeno since it would take Whis two days, Beerus charges Whis with protecting Shin, which surprises Goku. Whis explains that Shin and Beerus are life-linked so if one dies, so will the other. Beerus is annoyed that Whis casually revealed this information, but reassures him he will keep it a secret. He is not seen until Whis and Goku return from Zeno's Palace, where he falls over upon hearing about Goku's naming Zeno "Zenny".

Beerus and group in Universe 10

Beerus and Whis then appear on Earth with Shin to tell Goku and the others about Zamasu visiting Zuno. After Goku and the others tell them about their fight in the future, Whis then comes up with some theories about Black's origin and how Zamasu became immortal. Whis suspects that Black is a copy of Goku created by the Super Dragon Balls that Zamasu wished for. Beerus then said that Zamasu used the Time Ring to go forward in time to one year, gathered the Balls again, and then wished for immortality. They then suspect that Zamasu kills Gowasu so he can steal the Time Ring. Goku, Whis, Beerus, and Shin then head back to Universe 10 to make sure Gowasu is okay. When they arrive they are greeted by Zamasu and Gowasu.

Beerus destroys Zamasu

After their conversation, the Universe 7 group pretends to leave Universe 10, but stop after some distance, talking about Zamasu's obvious killing intent. Whis projects a view of them and the group watches Zamasu's actions. Eventually, Zamasu ends up killing Gowasu, and Whis uses his Temporal Do-Over to rewind time to right before it happens, intercepting Zamasu's attack with a glove he created. With the right evidence, Beerus and the group explain to Gowasu about Zamasu's intent to kill him and his plans. Zamasu, cornered, prepares to attack, but Beerus effortlessly intercepts his attack and destroys him in an instant.

Beerus ensures Future Trunks that Zamasu is gone forever

Beerus then returns to Earth along with Whis and Goku, informing Future Trunks and the others of Zamasu's demise, and that Black should be gone as well as a god eliminated would affect the time stream, thus rending the future peaceful again. However, Beerus feels frustrated that Future Trunks doesn't believe him and decides to head to the future to check things out. After Future Trunks tells Trunks his knowledge about timelines, Beerus agreed to let Future Trunks return to the future to check over the situation with the latter simply told them that he doesn't care what happens in the future, whether is it peaceful or not. He later witnesses the departure of Future Trunks and the others to the future with Whis telling Beerus to remain at Capsule Corporation in order to wait for the answer that Goku and the company will give them concerning the future.

Bulma angry at Beerus

Eventually, Goku, Vegeta, and Bulma return to their own world, with Future Trunks' not with them, kid Trunks and the Pilaf Gang assumed that the future is safe, Beerus, who along with Whis are eating ice cream, proudly tells them that they should have faith in his power. However, he was stunned to hear from Bulma that the future remained the same as it was thanks to Black and Future Zamasu's actions. Not willing to take responsibility, Beerus denies the events that are happening in the future, which angers Bulma, who was about to slap him until Vegeta stops her from doing that. Vegeta immediately explains the whole situation to Beerus and Whis about how the Supreme Kais were all killed by the evil duo in Trunks's future and how the Zamasu from the unaltered time stream stole Goku's body to become Goku Black. With the mysteries all solved and his curiosity satisfied, Beerus decides to head back home along with Whis, not caring about the situation as he eliminated Zamasu of the main timeline.

Later, Beerus and Whis head to Universe 10, telling Gowasu about the whole situation, with Whis telling Gowasu that Beerus feels a huge amount of responsibility as the future didn't change. Beerus tells them that he can easily destroy Zamasu if he goes to the future but as a God of Destruction he can't cross the time stream, leaving his hands tied, Gowasu agrees to do something about that matter as what happens in the future is own responsibility.

After the two iterations of Zamasu is erased from existence for good at cost of Future Trunks' timeline by Future Zeno but leaving Future Trunks and Future Mai as the only survivors who are saved and brought to the present safely by Goku, Bulma, Vegeta, Gowasu and Shin, Beerus advises Gowasu to be careful on choosing an apprentice next time. After Goku and Future Trunks return from the now destroyed Future Trunks's timeline and bring Future Zeno safely from being alone, Beerus is surprised to see him, even though this Zeno is from the future. Later that night, Whis informed Future Trunks and Future Mai that he will go a point in their timeline's past before Goku Black's arrival and have Future Beerus take care of Future Zamasu. Beerus warns Whis of tampering with time, though Whis counters that Beerus is being a hypocrite as his destruction of Zamasu had created a new Time Ring, much to his chagrin. 

Universe Survival Saga

Beerus threatens Goku

Beerus is annoyed by Goku's eagerness to see Zeno and request that they start the Tournament. Worried that Goku's carefree attitude could cause him to annoy Zeno, Beerus threatens to destroy Goku, and even places his hand in front of Goku's face in the Hakai position, noting that maybe he has been too lenient. Goku outwits Beerus and uses the button to go see Zeno, all the while Beerus remains worried.

Goku returns from seeing Zeno, and the Grand Minister appears. He tells them about the Tournament of Power and says a Zeno Expo will be held since the Future Zeno has yet to see Goku fight. He tells them to find three warriors and bring them to Zeno's Palace. He also says that the losing universes will be erased from existence, horrifying everyone.

Furious, Beerus yells at Goku for putting them all at risk. He also told Goku that despite his friendship with Zeno, in his view, Goku is nothing more than a temporarily plaything to him and wouldn't care if he erased Goku. He yells at Goku to gather three warriors, which Goku does in the form of Gohan and Buu. He also brings Mr. Satan along since Buu will only listen to him. The group heads to Zeno's palace where they encounter representatives from Universe 9. They are all taken to an arena where the rest of the Universes Gods, all join them.

As the Zeno Expo gets underway, Beerus observes how the other Universes view Goku since he is the one who requested the Tournament that is putting all of their lives in danger. When Buu is fighting Universe 9's Basil, Roh throws fruit to Basil, which allows him to get more powerful. Beerus objects and accuses them of cheating. The Grand Minister allows it, since the rules have yet not been established, and silences Beerus with a glare.

After Goku's battle against Top ended in a draw (due to the Grand Minister stopping it because he wanted the fighters to go all out in the tournament for the Zenos) Beerus became more enraged upon realizing for Goku's battle with Universe 11's second strongest fighter ended in a draw is a terrible outcome with them and yelled at him and Gohan to take this seriously. After the Zeno Expo and returning back to the Sacred World of the Kai, Beerus gets into an argument with Goku, reminding him to use this free time to train in order to make sure that Universe 7 (or more importantly himself) wins and not be erased however, they are stopped by Whis. Beerus then mention that only the Angels would continue living even after a universe would be erased, Whis then said it's an advantage of being a higher being. Beerus then realize that since the Grand Minister is Whis' father, he could bribe him into excluded them from Tournament, but Whis refuse to do it. Beerus then suggested that they go to Capsule Corporation to come up with a strategy and Goku is annoyed that Beerus is complaining about the universe's destruction since he did some destroying all Willie Nillie, which Beerus yelled out that he doesn't do it Willie Nillie.

After returning back to Earth, Beerus learns that Vegeta refuse to compete in the tournament and nervously told him that he will compete in the tournament and that's an order, only to be told that he can only compete if Bulma agreed to go due to per pregnancy. Luckily Whis used his power to bring Bulla to life, thus giving Vegeta a chance to compete. During the 40-hour preparation for the Tournament of Power, Beerus eats and sleeps, letting Goku do the recruiting. Beerus then sees that since the others are unaware of the situation that Goku made, he had a daydream where Bulma insulted Beerus due to not preventing Goku's need to fight, which followed by Whis being the one to jokingly yelled Beerus. Upon learning that Krillin would refuse to join, Beerus told him that he will join, and any refusal will lead him to killing Krillin himself. After learning that Good Buu will be unable to compete, he yelled at the others for not getting anyone else to compete until Goku realize that they should get Frieza to be the tenth member.

Beerus watches the Tournament unfold

During the Tournament of Power, Beerus congratulates his fighters when they defeat an opponent, however, he is annoyed by the fact that Goku holds back, letting three of Team Universe 2's strongest fighters transform without fighting them, Krillin was eliminated because he let his guard down or when Goku and Vegeta fell for Prum and Harmira's trap or when Goku refuse Frieza's help when he fought Caulifla and Kale alone . In one moment when Master Roshi defeated Dercori from Team Universe 4 by sealing her in a jar with the Evil Containment Wave, Quitela protested by stating that using the jar is an outside weapon and the rules stated that outside weapons are forbidden, with Beerus pointing out that Dercori used talisman on Roshi, but Quitela said that it's Energy shape like Talisman. Luckily for Beerus, The Zenos allowed it due to it look for fun to them. During Roshi's fight against 3 of Universe 4's fighters, Beerus kept cheering him on referring to him as Old Man. Krillin corrects him and tells Beerus his name is Master Roshi. Instead of being mad at Krillin after Goku brings Master Roshi back to life Beerus instead politely asks Krillin what his name was again, uncharacteristically showing respect to Master Roshi. After Roshi willingly drops out a few minutes later, Beerus again shows an unusual level of respect for the old man, even calling him by his full name and title.

Beerus watches Goku's fight against Jiren, and after Goku is presumed to be destroyed by Universe 7's Spirit Bomb, Beerus is shown to be upset as he wonders if this is truly the end of Goku and says his name mournfully. Yet when he and the rest of Team Universe 7 feel Goku's energy rising into Ultra Instinct Sign, Beerus smirks with recognition. Whis asks him if he has anything to say, something that Beerus only answers with, "Here it comes."

Later on, Beerus is again awed at Goku attaining Ultra Instinct Sign once more, although he is apparently miffed at Goku's ability to reactivate it. He proceeds to silently analyze the battle between Goku and Kefla.

When Team Universe 6 is only down to two fighters, Whis notices Beerus has been quiet and wonders if it is because Champa could be erased. Beerus denies it and starts cheering for the elimination of Universe 6. However, when Universe 6 is defeated, Beerus isn't happy or boastful about it. He calmly stands there with his eyes closed and opens them partially when Champa calls out to him. Beerus turns to looks at Champa, who playfully makes one last rude gesture to Beerus before being erased. Afterward, Beerus turns back calmly and quietly wishes for his brother to "say something".

Beerus continues to observe the fights. He becomes frustrated when Universe 4's hidden warriors begin harassing his team and knocking Piccolo out. He becomes increasingly frustrated when Team Universe 3's remaining warriors' fuse and gain the upper hand.

When the Grand Minister shortens the spectator bench, he glares and grunts at Belmod. He grows worried when Team Universe 11 quickly gains the advantage. He quickly changes to excitement when Vegeta reaches a new level of power and sees Jiren being pushed back by Vegeta's and Goku's attacks. He observes the fight, and calmly acknowledges Gohan's efforts in the tournament upon Gohan sacrificing himself to knock out Dyspo. Later on, he becomes shocked and horrified when Top of Universe 11 transforms into a God of Destruction. He observes the fight between Top, Android 17, and Frieza, advising his team members of various dangers.

"Whis...? Goku's done it, hasn't he. He's finally achieved it. It's astounding! This mortal really is something else... Look at that brilliant form... There can be no doubt! This is the true power, complete in all its majesty! This is... Autonomous Ultra Instinct!" — Beerus commenting on Goku having achieved Autonomous Ultra Instinct in "A Transcendent Limit Break! Autonomous Ultra Instinct Mastered!"

Further, throughout the Tournament, Beerus and the other Destroyers stand up in full recognition of Goku achieving the Perfected Ultra Instinct state, upon which he questions Whis if Goku has truly reached mastery of the state. Whis confirms it with a knowing smile and Beerus savagely grins, exclaiming what an unbelievable guy Goku is, and once and for all affirming that Goku has finally Perfected Ultra Instinct. By standing up in recognition to Goku's new power, it is implied that Beerus, along with the other Gods of Destruction, has admitted that Goku had finally surpassed them in power upon achieving the Perfected Ultra Instinct transformation. With Jiren defeated after taking a huge direct blast from Goku's Kamehameha wave, Beerus was shown to be excited, thinking that Universe 7 won the tournament but to his shock, Goku felt the negative effects of Ultra Instincts and pointed out that Goku won the battle, despite Jiren never being knocked out of the ring.

After Team Universe 7 won the tournament, Frieza was then brought back to life thanks to Whis, due to Beerus telling him to do it as a "Thank You" for help saving Universe 7 (and more importantly himself) from being erased.

Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga

Beerus fishes on his planet

A bored Beerus takes part in a fishing contest with the Oracle Fish while Whis notices a decline in energy on New Namek. Whis informs Beerus of this and asks if he is fine with letting events play out to which he says that he is as the planet does not have any interesting food. When Merus shows up and watches the battles on Earth with Whis, Beerus asks if he knows of any tasty recipes only to call him a waste of space when he does not.

After overhearing how Goku appears to be losing his fight against Moro, a hungry Beerus tells Whis that he wants to eat some tasty food and heads to Earth. There, Whis transports Dende and the injured Dragon Team warriors away from the battlefield. Leaving things to Dende, Beerus decides to head to Bulma's place in order to preserve some gourmet food but while on his way he senses Merus beginning to use his true Angel powers. Not wanting to get in trouble with the Grand Minister, he decides they should head back to stop him. However, they arrive too late and watch as Merus fades away due to having broken his code.

Beerus continues to watch as Goku battles Moro, cursing his idiotic decisions and refusal to simply end the battle immediately. After Moro becomes one with the Earth, Beerus decides to lend a helping hand as losing the planets delicacies would prove troublesome. Before he can act however, Whis is notified that Grand Minister has summoned him. Finding that situation to be much more urgent, Beerus decides to leave immediately before providing any help.

Beerus plays horsey with Zeno

At Zeno's Palace, Beerus along with Whis are chastised for the mess surrounding the loss of Merus on Earth. The Grand Minister reveals that he has revived Merus albeit as a mortal thanks in part to Shin's willingness to sacrifice himself. While Beerus begins to get mad at Shin for putting both of their lives on the line, the Grand Minister places a penalty on all those involved for the trouble caused. Beerus and Shin are next seen playing horsey with the Zeno in order to give the attendants a much-needed break. Tired and frustrated over his current situation, Beerus places the blame on Goku believing that it was his fault that Merus decided to break his code.

Granolah the Survivor Saga

Main article: Granolah the Survivor Saga Goku and Vegeta return to Beerus' Planet to continue their training. Beerus and Vegeta watch one of the sessions where Goku spars with Whis using his Perfected Ultra Instinct state. When Vegeta asks if Whis is using Ultra Instinct at the moment, Beerus tells him that Angels are always in that state. Beerus asks if Vegeta plans to master the technique too and after he declines Beerus says that there is another technique of the Gods that the Gods of Destruction use. Though Beerus refuses to tell him what the technique is, he does tell Vegeta that he is going to get some exercise and that, if he sees anything he wants, he is free to steal it.

Beerus easily avoids SSGSS Evolved Vegeta's attacks

Beerus questions Vegeta about the Saiyan's destructive history and tells Vegeta that if he doesn't let the sins of his race go, he will never be able to wield the power of destruction. Beerus reveals to Vegeta that he was the one who told Frieza to destroy Planet Vegeta, causing Vegeta to outrage and attack Beerus using his Super Saiyan God SS Evolved state. Beerus dodges Vegeta's attack then hits him with a Hakai, destroying part of his armor. With Vegeta defeated by Beerus once again, the God of Destruction tells him that to grow stronger he must rebuild himself from scratch.

Beerus trains Vegeta

Vegeta attempts to use Hakai to destroy a small rock but instead does so using a simple Ki blast. Beerus explains that when a God of Destruction uses Hakai they completely erase things from existence, turning something into nothing. Beerus displays the technique for Vegeta again in destroying a small rock, accidentally burning up his comic in the process. Over the next few weeks Beerus continues to train Vegeta, using logs that he hurls into a stream for Vegeta to destroy. When Goku and Vegeta make plans to head back to Earth, Beerus gives him an earring to symbolize that he can use Hakai, telling him to go out there and prove that the technique is superior to that of the Angels.

High School Saga

Super Hero Saga

Main article: Super Hero Saga Beerus awakens from a four-month slumber to find that his home has now been inhabited by Broly, Lemo and Cheelai without his permission. However, after tasting Lemos cooking and taking a fancy to Cheelai, he allows them to stay. Following a feast, Beerus fires Whis and makes Lemo his new head chef before enjoying some ice cream as he watches Goku and Vegeta spar, even going so far to put up a protective barrier to avoid Cheelai getting wet when the Saiyan pair create a large wave. As the battle goes on and on, Beerus eventually grows tired and takes a nap in his seat.

Universal Conflict Saga

Universe Creation Saga

Beerus' threatening actions at Capsule Corporation

Beerus shows up with the remaining Gods of Destruction on Earth. Moving forward, Beerus powers up an Energy of Destruction Ki Blast but Tokitoki flies upwards and flapping his wings, dispels Beerus's blast, much to his surprise. Goku asks for an explanation for Beerus' surprising actions and Beerus explains to him that according to the Oracle Fish's prediction a strange bird will appear in Universe 7 and will destroy all universes. Xeno Pan, who had shown up along with Xeno Trunks, returns Tokitoki and herself back to the Time Nest. When the other Gods of Destruction prepare to destroy everyone, Beerus halts them, saying that he will take responsibility for his planet. Goku and Vegeta transform into Super Saiyan Blue and Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, Android 17 and Xeno Trunks join their side.

Goku charges at Beerus with a punch but is unable to land a single blow as Beerus effortlessly fends off Goku as well as Vegeta and Xeno Trunks. Before the fight can continue, Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta arrive from another dimension and point out the Universe Tree that is absorbing energy from all living things. Shortly after Fu appears and explains his plan to create a new universe using the tree. As he heads off, the tree begins sapping energy from all living things across West City. Beerus flies upward and unleashes his own energy to counter the tree, halting it from absorbing more energy but unable to hold it up for too long, he orders Goku and the others to hurry and do something about Fu and the Universe Tree.

However, he appears again later on alongside Champa and their angel attendants, having gathered the Super Dragon Balls and summoned Super Shenron to ask him to destroy the Universe Tree.

Four years after the defeat of Kid Buu, alarm bombs explode, but Beerus does not wake up. Whis tells him to get up and he says he will sing with a microphone if Beerus keeps sleeping. Since Whis is terrible at singing, Beerus eventually awakens from his long slumber and takes a bath. At his early feast, Beerus asks Whis whether the galactic overlord Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta during his nap, saying the Saiyans and Frieza were very evil, and King Vegeta was stingy. Despite the fact that Planet Vegeta was destroyed two years before Beerus went to sleep, he was unaware of it until he was informed of it by Whis. Whis then tells Beerus that Frieza was defeated by "a Saiyan known as Goku or Kakarot," and uses his scepter like a projector to show the past battle between Goku and Frieza on Namek. Next, Beerus touches an egg and destroys it. When Whis explains about Super Saiyans and some Saiyans including Prince Vegeta living on Earth, Beerus recalls his dream about him fighting with the Super Saiyan God and he then calls the Oracle Fish. The Oracle Fish does not remember it, but Beerus is convinced that it said so. Since he heard rumors that a Saiyan defeated Frieza, Beerus tracks down this warrior, Goku, on King Kai's planet.

When he arrives on the planet, the God of Destruction complains that King Kai's planet is so small, but Whis reminds him that he is the reason it is so small for destroying it when getting mad after losing at hide-and-seek. Beerus questions Goku and King Kai about the Super Saiyan God. After the two saying that they've never heard of a Super Saiyan God, Beerus wanted to visit Earth to see if the others know of a Super Saiyan God. Goku then asks to challenge Beerus to a fight. Beerus accepts Goku's challenge and agrees not to destroy the planet if he got angry. Goku begins by demonstrating the various Super Saiyan forms he can achieve. Beerus blocks Super Saiyan 3 Goku's punch and flicks him on the head. Next, Beerus repeatedly and effortlessly dodges Goku's attacks and defeats him with a Pressure Point Attack, knocking him unconscious and reverting him back to his base form. Disappointed by the subsequent lack of challenge, Beerus departs in order to see if the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta, and the other Saiyans on Earth know more about the Super Saiyan God.

He arrives at Capsule Corporation, where Bulma's birthday party is held. The Saiyan Prince Vegeta seems to have met Beerus before, and he musters all of his excitement and casts aside his pride to put the party's unannounced attendee in a good mood. Beerus easily acclimates himself to the festivities, and even politely apologizes to Bulma for being rude. When Beerus asks Good Buu for one or two of the custard puddings he has, Majin Buu eats all of them, angering the God of Destruction, who decides to destroy the Earth. Majin Buu is blasted away into a lake by a Kiai from the God of Destruction. Android 18, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo attempt to fight Beerus, and the God of Destruction easily defeats them one after another with some chopsticks.

While Beerus retrieves Buu back from the water, Gohan powers up and attacks Beerus only to have his head slammed into Buu's. Beerus also faces Gotenks and quickly defeats him as well. Vegeta decides to fight the God of Destruction on his own after the other Z Fighters have been defeated, but he is ultimately defeated. While Beerus is about to finish off Vegeta, Bulma walks up and scolds Beerus for ruining her birthday party, slapping him. The God of Destruction returns the favor right back and responds with a slap of his own, only his is much harder. Seeing his wife being beaten, Vegeta explodes in a fit of rage starts knocking Beerus around for a bit. Vegeta's anger gives him incredible power, but as soon as his rampage is over, Beerus is just fine and the Saiyan Prince once again accepts his and the planet's fate.

Beerus battles Super Saiyan Goku

Soon, Goku turns into a Super Saiyan God and faces Beerus again. They have a battle in space, right above planet Earth. The form gives Goku the power to resist Beerus, but he reverts to his regular Super Saiyan form due to the form's time limit. However, he learns the form's godlike feeling, which allows him to use Super Saiyan God's raw power against Beerus. Beerus points out to Goku that Super Saiyan God's time limit ran out some time ago and that Goku did not notice because he was able to absorb the Super Saiyan God power into his body while he was fighting. Beerus says that because of this, Goku did not greatly power down even after returning to normal.

The two seem to be equally strong at some point, but Beerus eventually wins when he uses his Beerus Ball. Goku stops Beerus' energy sphere, barely holding it back, and the screen suddenly blacks out. Chi-Chi and Goku's friends appear in Goku's mind, then he briefly transforms to Super Saiyan God again and absorbs the energy ball. Goku gets exhausted, and Beerus wants Goku to say, "I give up" and he says so. Beerus stops the fight, and they talk for a while before going back to the ground. Beerus says that the Super Saiyan God was not that strong, and the Oracle Fish's prediction was a little exaggerated. Beerus reveals that there is a warrior stronger than Goku, making him the second strongest fighter he had ever faced, to Goku's surprise. He also reveals that Whis is his martial arts master and even stronger than him. He continues to say that there are twelve universes, and the one Goku and his friends know is just one of them - the seventh universe. Beerus is the God of Destruction of the seventh universe, and each universe has its own other God of Destruction like him. On the ground, when Beerus prepares to destroy the Earth, he blasts only a small rock and says he has already run out of power. Whis asks Goku if he would like to be the next Destroyer God after Beerus dies, but Goku quickly turns him down. To the pleasant surprise of everyone present, Beerus sincerely apologizes to Bulma for wrecking her birthday party and slapping her. Bulma accepts his apology and invites him to her next birthday party, promising that he will get a whole swimming pool of pudding to enjoy. After making peace with and befriending the Z Fighters, Beerus and Whis return home.

Beerus back on his home planet

Beerus tells Whis that both Goku and Vegeta might become formidable foes before long. While they are eating sushi, Beerus tries some of the wasabi. However, the sheer spiciness of the wasabi turns his face red and drives him into a hysterical rampage, flying around at high speed and destroying planets around his temple in the process. Whis eventually flies in and knocks out Beerus in a single karate chop to the back of the neck. After waking up, Beerus is slightly annoyed at Whis for hitting him and says he'll destroy Earth if the sushi isn't good. Of course, Beerus enjoys the sushi and goes to sleep, only to be immediately interrupted when Whis reminds him he hasn't brushed his teeth yet.

Beerus is trying to get his three years' worth of sleep. However, Goku and Vegeta's training with Whis is very noisy and it makes it difficult for him to do so. Beerus walks toward where they were training wondering what the noise was and when he sneezes, he fires a ki blast toward Goku and Vegeta's direction, but it misses blowing up a planet near his temple. Beerus goes to a tree and hangs from it to sleep. After listening for a while, Beerus notices Goku and Vegeta talking with Whis and wonders why and how they are on his planet. Goku told Beerus that Whis brought them to his temple to train because he couldn't sense their energy. Beerus is curious and questions Goku of the importance of him getting stronger, hoping to overthrow him as Destroyer. Beerus asks Whis what food he was offered the time of visiting Earth he was introduced to pizza. He listened to Whis's words carefully and picks up that Goku and Vegeta have been to his planet several times before.

Later, Beerus is watching Whis, Vegeta, and Goku train while eating pizza. He interrupted their training asks Whis a substance on his pizza, which was cheese. Beerus was asked by Goku to not interrupt their training but Beerus threatened to blow up the Earth. As soon as the Oracle Fish arrives and tells Whis to check his messages, Beerus and Whis see Bulma with an ice cream sundae and are interested in eating it. After hearing from Bulma about Frieza, only Beerus remains interested in the sundae.

Beerus and Whis

A while later, Beerus and Whis arrive on Earth and are ready to eat the ice cream sundae Bulma had prepared but was agitated by Bulma's response at the moment. Beerus threatens Bulma by holding out a ki blast for Bulma to get the sundae. Beerus and Whis eat their sundae and watch Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Golden Frieza battle. During the fight, Beerus's presence is seen by Frieza and he gets concerned about Beerus there. Beerus states that as a deity, he will not interfere with battles. Beerus says to Bulma that if the Earth starts to come to an end, everyone should stay by him. In the end, Frieza blows up the planet, but Whis shields Beerus, Bulma, Goku, Gohan, Jaco, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, Krillin, and Master Roshi. Beerus tells Goku that he made a foolish mistake playing with Frieza and that he should send Frieza back to Hell. Whis uses his Temporal Do-over ability for Goku to kill Frieza. Beerus finds it ironic that a Destroyer revived a planet back from destruction.

Broly

Beerus has no interest in what Frieza wants with the Dragon Balls and refuses to go with Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Whis to confront him. Bulma, relieved that someone wants to stay behind, gives Bulla to Beerus to babysit. Beerus, while initially annoyed by this, chooses to babysit Bulla and entertain her with his tail. He also takes her to the beach and he allows her to lay on his chest and play with his clothing as he relaxes.

Super Hero

Beerus in Super Hero

Beerus wakens from a four-month nap only to find to his dismay that Broly is now on his planet along with his companions Lemo and Cheelai. He decides to let it slide after learning of Lemo's culinary skills and finding Cheelai to be cute and soon has a feast inside his castle. Afterwards, everyone returns outside to watch Goku and Vegeta spar, however the session goes on for hours and Beerus eventually falls back to sleep out of boredom.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha

Main article: Dragon Ball: That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha At some point after the Tournament of Destroyers, but before the Tournament of Power, Beerus and Champa hold a Reincarnation Game, with Beerus betting on Yamcha, while Champa bets on Chiaotzu. Beerus is frustrated when Yamcha decides not to defeat Chiaotzu, and instead becomes friends with him, he then destroys the Reincarnation Game, ending it and freeing its two participants.

Xenoverse

Main article: Dragon Ball Xenoverse

Beerus pretending to be under Demigra's control in Xenoverse

Demigra sends his Mirage to Age 778 in order to use his Dark Magic to take control of the God of Destruction and use him to create a time distortion capable of freeing him from the Crack of Time. Chronoa realizes Demigra's plan and knows that if Beerus falls under Demigra's control all hope is lost and tells the Future Warrior and Future Trunks they must not allow Demigra to gain control over him or all hope is lost. During Bulma's birthday party, Demigra's Mirage hits Beerus with his dark magic as Trunks' toy ball accidentally hits Beerus as he is about to eat some pudding (that Vegeta had saved from being eaten by Majin Buu) causing him to spill it on the ground enraging him. Though Beerus is affected by Demigra's Dark Magic, initially he only shows brief moments of being under its influence and even seems to resist it completely taking control of him. However, he falls completely under his control after Goku forfeits their battle high above the Earth. Dark Beerus then creates a Sphere of Destruction and it appears as if Demigra has won and that Beerus will destroy the Earth. However, Beerus throws his Sphere of Destruction at Demigra instead, surprising Future Trunks (who was watching the events unfold from within the Time Storage Vault), the Future Warrior, and Demigra himself. Beerus then reveals that Demigra's Dark Magic was immune to the Gods before he and the Warrior engage in a battle with him. After Demigra's mirage is defeated by Beerus and the Future Warrior, he and Whis accompany the Future Warrior back to the Time Nest much to the surprise of Future Trunks and to the horror of Chronoa, where they agreed that if Future Trunks and the Future Warrior passed their "test", Beerus would allow the two Time Patrollers the honor of destroying Demigra. After that, Beerus and Whis went back to Beerus' temple, where he wanted to sleep.

After Demigra's defeat, Beerus and Whis are seen floating above Toki Toki City watching Trunks and the city's inhabitants celebrate. Beerus mentions that it was worth staying awake just to see the Future Warrior defeat Demigra.

After the Future Warrior completes Goku's training, they encounter Beerus who had apparently journeyed to Toki Toki City in his sleep. Remembering the Warrior, Beerus offers to train them personally, but at first, has trouble taking his role as the Warrior's Master seriously, but the Warrior proves himself to be a student worthy of training under the Destroyer God. Beerus ends the Warrior's training by teaching the Warrior his Ultimate Skill, the Sphere of Destruction.

Xenoverse 2

God of Destruction's Anger Saga

In Age 778, Beerus is talking with Goku just after his Super Saiyan God form has run out and is explaining how Goku body absorbed the power of the form increasing Goku's power to new heights when the Future Warrior and Masked Saiyan suddenly appear between them as a result of the Future Warrior attempt to capture the mysterious Time Breaker after spotting him on the Sacred World of the Kais in Age 774 following Kid Buu's defeat. Beerus is furious over their interrupting his conversion with Goku. Chronoa and Elder Kai contact him to inform him of the situation as the Future Warrior and Masked Saiyan do battle. Eventually, the Warrior manages to crack the Masked Saiyan's mask revealing him to be none other than Goku's time-displaced father, Bardock. Mira appears and engages the Future Warrior in battle and has the audacity to tell Beerus to be quiet and watch.

Though surprised at Mira's arrogance, Beerus states it has been a while since anyone had the guts to talk back to him and decides to allow Mira to fight the Future Warrior without any interference. However, eventually Beerus loses his patience and says he has half-a-mind to destroy them all right then and there. He likely would have done so, had Chronoa not sent in her trump card, a containing full of Pudding Cups which she tells the Future Warrior to hand over to Beerus.

Chronoa tells Beerus they are for him if he promises not to destroy anyone and Beerus agrees. Goku asks if he can have some pudding and Beerus even offers some to Mira and Masked Saiyan, but Mira leaves considering the God of Destruction's friendly offer a buzz-kill. Whis asks to have some as well and asks if there is any more, causing Chronoa to explain she made a lot of pudding, causing Whis to immediately stop reaching for a cup when he realizes it was made by Chronoa, who's poor cooking skills are apparently well-known to him. However, Beerus and Goku are not so lucky as they both consume some of the pudding and are immediately sickened by its horrible taste. It causes Goku to develop stomach cramps preventing him from fighting. However, Beerus is left simply furious over Chronoa's horrible pudding, so angry that Whis comments the last time Beerus' anger was this bad he extinguished two suns.

Whis decides that he cannot standby and asks the Future Warrior for help in subduing the angry Beerus and together they manage to exhaust him, which calms Beerus down. Chronoa says she will try and make it up to Beerus, but he refuses as he will have no more of her cooking. Goku recovers and Beerus decides to return home with Whis. Goku thanks the Warrior for their help despite not understanding what the battle with Mira and the Masked Saiyan was all about as only Beerus and the Future Warrior could hear Chronoa explain the situation to Beerus and failed to realize the Masked Saiyan was his father Bardock despite a vague sense of familiarity.

The Emperor's Return Saga

Later in Age 779 during Frieza's Revenge, Beerus and Whis arrive to eat the Strawberry Sundae Bulma had promised them and tells Frieza he will not interfere just as he did in the original history. However, Whis notices another power similar to Frieza's and asks if anyone else was revived, causing the Warrior and Vegeta to notice the revived Metal Cooler, who reveals was revived using the Dragon Ball's second wish which had originally been taken by the Pilaf Gang. As Vegeta and the Future Warrior fight Metal Cooler and Goku fight Golden Frieza, Beerus and Whis are contacted by Chronoa who tells them the Time Nest is under attack by Mira and Towa. She asks them for their assistance and tells them she has cream puffs, which causes Beerus to ask if she made them, causing her in a nervous tone to tell him that Trunks made them, causing Beerus to accept her offer. However, this ends up changing history, as Whis is not present to save Goku and the others from Frieza's Earth Breaker, leading to Goku's death, while Frieza and Metal Cooler survive due to their ability to survive in the vacuum of space. Fortunately, Future Trunks arrives to pull the Warrior out just in time saving them from being killed in the explosion as well. Back at the Time Nest, it is revealed that the attack on the Time Nest was nothing more than a lie created by Towa who had hacked into the Time Nest's communications system and impersonated Chronoa to trick Beerus and Whis to leave Age 779, preventing Whis from aiding Goku and his friends as he had originally.

Beerus is furious over Towa's blasphemous act of deceiving him and wishes to destroy her as he had with Demigra previously. Chronoa explains they don't know where Towa is and suggests that if they fix the change in Age 779, she and Mira might show themselves. Beerus agrees and travels back to Age 779 with Whis and the Future Warrior. Whis uses his Temporal Do-Over to rewind time allowing the Future Warrior to stop Frieza's attack, forcing Frieza and Metal Cooler to transform into their Supervillain forms. Goku, Vegeta, and the Warrior manage to defeat the brothers and the timeline is restored, however, Towa does not show angering Beerus. Whis suggests he seal away Elder Kai as a way to alleviate his anger, but Elder Kai objects. Chronoa informs them that Tokitoki has just laid his eggs, causing Whis to comment it is cause for celebration as Tokitoki's Eggs indicate the birth of time for a new universe. As he cannot let Beerus potentially destroy a new universe, Whis decides to spar with Beerus and the Future Warrior which piques Beerus' interest as it has been a while since he and his master sparred. During the sparring match, Whis uses his superior speed to draw his symbol on Beerus' forehead. Realizing it is permanent ink, Beerus rushes off to it wash off leaving the Warrior to face Whis alone. After the session ends, Beerus' anger over Towa has subsided though he is annoyed at Whis for drawing his symbol on his head, which Beerus was unable to wash off as it can clearly be seen on his forehead. Beerus decides to leave Towa up to the Time Patrol and leaves with Whis.

Epilogue

After Whis helps Goku travel to Age ??? to assist the Future Warrior, as he is about to take Goku back following Mira's defeat, Goku informs him that Chronoa had said there would be a feast (provided by a wish to Shenron) and Whis realizes that Beerus is already enjoying himself without him. As Beerus is eating ice cream, Elder Kai bumps into him while reading one of his Dirty magazines. Beerus gets angry over him interfering with his snack time, though calms down once he realizes its just Elder Kai, who though fearful of Beerus, still holds a grudge over Beerus sealing him away in the Z Sword. Beerus overhears Elder Kai's grumbling over Beerus' presence and warns him to not talk to himself so loudly. He is about to destroy Elder Kai when Whis arrives with food which he gives to both Beerus and Elder Kai preventing the situation from getting out of hand. Chronoa summons Shenron to create a feast, causing Elder Kai to object overusing the Dragon Balls to order take out, though Beerus states it is a festive occasion. Beerus is later sampling some sushi and tells Whis he should try some before he notices Whis is at another table with Tokitoki, Chronoa, Goku, and Elder Kai. After the feast, Beerus is about to observe a sparring session between the Toki Toki City Hero and the new Conton City Hero, telling Goku to sit back and watch when he tries to join in on the fight.

If Beerus fights against Towa in battle, a special dialog occurs where she will be surprised and scared in Beerus' presence and he will reference her deception of him during the main story by saying "Messing with a god usually brings divine retribution, you know?". This shows he has not forgiven her deception though he likely recognizes her as a serious threat that would warrant him destroying her given the severity of her crimes, much like Chronoa did after her killing of Shenron in Age 850 almost caused the Time Vault to overload during the Warrior from the Demon World Saga.

Battle with Universe 6 Saga

As part of the Super Pack 2 DLC, a history change causes Goku and Good Buu not to show on the day Team Universe 7 was supposed to leave for the Tournament of Destroyers. Beerus is furious both are no shows and wonder if they decided to skip out on the tournament. However Piccolo and Vegeta both doubt Goku would ever miss the tournament on purpose. Whis however jokingly reminds Beerus they still have Monaka taunting Beerus over his deception. Beerus angrily decides to leave for the tournament as is though this puts Team Universe 7 at a disadvantage and threatens Universe 7's historic victory. Chronoa and Elder Kai summon Future Trunks and the two Future Warriors to deal with the latest history change. Future Trunks and his partner the Toki Toki City Hero are tasked with finding Goku, with Elder Kai telling them not to bother with finding Buu as he didn't participate in the original history which he plans to take advantage of by having the Future Warrior go in as Majin Buu's replacement to resolve any further changes.

The Future Warrior joins Team Universe 7 to take part in the Tournament of Destroyers in Xenoverse 2

On the Nameless Planet in Age 779, the Future Warrior arrives in the middle of the arena as Piccolo is about to face Botamo due to Goku's absence. Beerus angrily confronts them for interfering though fortunately Chronoa contacts him and informs him she selected the Future Warrior to fight for Team Universe 7 though Beerus is unsure if he can trust her selection though given his situation Beerus accepts. However, Champa is angry at the last minute addition though Beerus uses the fact that Champa still has an unfair advantage regardless. Vados however interjects and reminds everyone that the warrior must pass the written exam which was a requirement suggested by Vegeta of Team Universe 7 thus Beerus has little recourse but to have the warrior take the exam which Elder Kai admits slipped his mind which Chronoa admonishes him for as he was present during the original history as a spectator along with Shin, Kibito, Fuwa, and Fuwa's Attendant.

While the Future Warrior takes the exam under Vados' supervision, Piccolo faces Botamo and manages to defeat him. Meanwhile, the Future Warrior finishes and passes the exam. Beerus is pleased by the news and says they will go in after Piccolo. Things get even better for Team Universe 7 when the Toki Toki City Hero arrives with Goku. Beerus angrily demands to know why Goku was a no show and Goku apologizes stating he got the date wrong while Chronoa explains that they found Goku training at King Kai's place for the tournament which he was unaware was taking place until the Time Patrol located him and sent the Toki Toki City Hero to bring him to it. Beerus accepts the apology as he needs Goku anyways and recognizes his absence was unintentional. Champa is once again furious by another late addition though Beerus points out it is now a fair fight and tauntingly asks his brother if he is afraid of a fair fight, forcing Champa to agree. However, once again Vados reminds everyone much to her own annoyance that Goku must take the exam as per the tournament rules putting Champa in a good mood while Beerus once again finds his hands tied as the exam was Vegeta's idea who is part of Beerus' team. Champa suggests that they speed things up by doing 2-on-2 tag team matches instead which Beerus makes no objection to.

He teams the Future Warrior together with Piccolo, while Champa teams Frost and Cabba together. Beerus notes how different Frost is from Frieza buying into his false noble persona. However, Frost resorts to his Secret Poison due to the warrior's strength and almost eliminates them via ring out though fortunately thanks to the tag team rule, Piccolo is able to break off from fighting Cabba to block Frost's kick saving his tag team partner from being ringed out which gives the warrior time to recover from the effects of the poison. Things get even better for Team Universe 7 as Jaco catches Frost's cheating much earlier and informs the Referee, exposing Frost as a cheater and secret leader of space pirates once Vados reveals his true nature to everyone causing Beerus to note he's not much different from Frieza. However. Vegeta orders the Future Warrior to not let Frost off with a disqualification thus Frost is allowed to remain and his poison is allowed though the Future Warrior now wise to his tricks defeats him. However, Cabba remains causing Champa to send in Hit as his new partner.

Meanwhile, Goku passes his test which he reveals he passed just barely causing Beerus to remind him he would have destroyed him if he failed. Vegeta asks Piccolo to switch with him which Beerus permits as Piccolo had done a good job. However when Vegeta brutally attacks Cabba Beerus wonders if he'd forgotten the no-killing rule, while Future Trunks is taken aback by his father's brutality. However, they both learn this was just a ruse to get Cabba to transform into a Super Saiyan. Vegeta tells Cabba to test his newfound power of the Future Warrior as Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan Blue to take on Hit. Future Trunks notes how strong Cabba is despite only being a "fledgling" Super Saiyan and wonders how strong he will become. The Future Warrior defeats Super Saiyan Cabba, only for Hit to defeat Vegeta. Suddenly Hit takes on the telltale signs of the Supervillain power-up while fighting the Future Warrior. He is later joined by both Cabba and Frost who also come under the same enchantment. Beerus and Champa both yell at them for ignoring the rules. However, Goku suggests he and Monaka join in to make it an even three on three, forcing Beerus to pull Monaka from the tournament.

Future Trunks guesses that Monaka is a weakling and Elder Kai reveals it was a fabrication created by Beerus to get Goku and Vegeta to train harder, though Elder Kai notes that such deception is a bad habit for a god. Just after Elder Kai says this Beerus sneezes and notes that someone is talking behind his back and makes a mental note to destroy them, causing Elder Kai to fear that Beerus might have somehow overheard him though can't figure out how that could be possible. Beerus also asks Whis about Universe 6's other remaining fighter. Whis informs Beerus that Magetta voluntarily left the tournament after Champa insulted him by calling him a "rust bucket" which caused the Metal Man to lose his will to fight and go home, though Beerus is fine with it as that means Universe 6 is down one more fighter. Beerus is eventually forced to send in Goku to back up the Future Warrior telling him to get out there and win as Champa managed to pass the Cabba and Frost's interference as nit against the rules as the fighters effective agreed to it due to Goku's suggestion and the fact the Warrior continues fighting which Champa takes full advantage of as it benefits his side.

Elder Kai and Chronoa note to the Future Warrior they just have to defeat Cabba and Frost, then leave Goku to face Hit on his own like in the original history. The Future Warrior defeats Cabba and Frost freeing them of the enchantment while Hit's simply dissipates on its own. The Future Warrior then rings themself out by jumping into the stands where Beerus is. Beerus threatens to destroy them for this but Chronoa reveals the truth of the situation explaining they had been sent on a Time Patrol mission. Beerus recognizes that the Future Warrior was simply there to ensure history was restored to its proper course and with Chronoa's assurance that the mission is complete Beerus lets the Future Warrior live and thanks to them for their assistance confident that Goku will defeat Hit and win the tournament. The Future Warrior returns to the Time Nest where Chronoa reveals Goku defeated Hit resulting in Team Universe 7's victory. It is implied that afterward she restored the original history as the victory ultimately counted as a successful correction.

Warrior of Hope Saga

Though Beerus does not physically appear during the saga, he destroys Zamasu like in the official history created by Future Trunks warning them everyone about Goku Black, though Goku Black survives due to his Time Ring as per the official timeline. The Time Patrol manages to stop Goku Black and Future Zamasu from altering history through their misuse of the Time Rings to ensure the success of the Project Zero Mortals.

Hero Colosseum Saga

Beerus and Champa above Earth with their attendants in Xenoverse 2

At the beginning of the story for the Hero Colosseum, Beerus and Champa are in space above the Earth with their attendants arguing about the best topping for a fried egg. Beerus argues it is ketchup while Champa argues it is a sprinkling of sugar. Beerus asks if he child due to his tendency to sweetening everything that goes in his mouth, however, Champa argues Beerus has no taste as putting ketchup on something will only make it taste like ketchup. Beerus calls him an idiot, however, Champa retorts only idiots call people idiots, only for Beerus to point out Champa said idiot three times which proves Champa is the idiot. Champa tells him to quit counting how many times he says idiot and calls Beerus a jerk after almost saying idiot a fourth time. The two then argue on how to settle the matter, with Champa suggesting baseball only for Beerus to point out it almost came to blows the last time. Before their argument can lead to a fight Whis and Vados step in with Vados suggesting trying Chili Oil as a topping, while Whis suggests Yakiniku sauce, which both Beerus and Champa agree to try ending their argument for the time being. Vados says the two of them are simply impossible which Whis agrees before stating they have to find a way to get a handle on the situation on the brothers' rivalry could spell trouble for both Universe 6 & 7.

Legends

Main article: Dragon Ball Legends In Dragon Ball Legends, Beerus with the assistance of King Kai is forced to set up the Tournament of Time after Shin is kidnapped by the tournament's mysterious "mastermind". Beerus is forced to comply due to his Life Link with the kidnapped Shin, thus he must be careful and cannot rely on the Dragon Team to handle the situation like he normally would. As a result, Beerus secretly forms Team Beerus to investigate the tournament discreetly with Goku supporting the team only when absolutely necessary. Like with the Project Zero Mortals affair, Beerus is more directly involved even to the point of protecting Earth's Capitol (which serves as the Team's primary base of operation due to the quality of its cuisine) when Vegeta and Nappa attempt to force Shallot to join them threatened to destroy it (though all he really did was threatening to Hakai Vegeta and defeating the ignorant Nappa with a simple Power Flick when he disobeyed Vegeta's order to stand down). However, this is primarily due Shin's kidnapping being a serious crisis that required Beerus as God of Destruction to be more involved in dealing with the Mastermind and the chaos that resulted from the Tournament of Time. Beerus also confronts Babidi after the wizard identifies himself as Shin's kidnapper, though it is eventually revealed Babidi was just a puppet under the influence of the Dark Ki. Eventually the true Mastermind is revealed to be Zahha who had been secretly acting as a double agent to manipulate Shallot, Team Beerus, and their allies in order for his plan to have Shallot and his twin brother Giblet fight each other in their Super Saiyan God forms to complete the Omnificence Crystal, a failed prototype Super Dragon Ball. Though Beerus attempts to Hakai the traitorous Zahha after he reveals his true identity, the complete Omnificence Crystal negates the attack and Zahha then uses the crystal to perform Hakai on Beerus, present Goku, and Ultimate Gohan (Fusion Saga), though they are later revealed to have survived the attack. It is also revealed that Beerus had requested Champa and Vados assist Team Beerus should things go bad (it should be noted that Zahha's possession of the Omnificence Crystal, along with Future Zamasu and Goku Black allying themselves with the Mastermind's group makes the situation a potentially threat to the multiverse in addition to Universe 7).
