The Evil Third Eye (魔のサードアイ Ma no Sādo Ai, lit. "Demon's Third Eye"), also referred to as Tertian Oculus (第3の目 Daisan no Me, lit. "Third Eye") are legendary magic artifacts. One was bought by a past Supreme Demon King and passed down to following kings before becoming lost during Abura's reign, while the other two remain in a shop in the Third Demon World, failing to sell and being on discount.
Overview[]
When embedded into an individual's forehead, the Evil Third Eye grants increased size and muscle mass, and access to unimaginable magical power, enough to frighten even Neva, a legendary Namekian well-versed in magic. It also grants the user a seemingly limitless amount of stamina and the ability to infinitely heal themselves. According to the Book of Magic Items, it can only be forcefully removed when the user is struck three times in the back of the head.
Usage[]

Abura wearing the Third Eye in a depiction
Originally, the Evil Third Eye was owned by the Supreme Demon Kings.[2] However, Dabura schemed to steal it from his father Abura one night and had a minion steal it from its protective safe behind Abura's throne, where it was taken to the Third Demon World. Unfortunately, a thug ambushed the minion, causing the Third Eye to fall down a ditch, and accidentally smashed the communicator, preventing Dabura from keeping tabs on the situation, though Dabura was content with being able to usurp Abura with the Third Eye out of the picture.[3]
Much later, Hybis comes across the Evil Third Eye while out hunting. Unaware of its true nature, he stuffs it into his belt buckle as a garment.[4]
The item is sought by Gomah after he becomes the latest Supreme Demon King following Dabura's death.[2] After recognizing it on Hybis' belt, Gomah orders Degesu to retrieve it for him, so Degesu in turn orders a demon girl to take it from Hybis. Hybis trades it for the girl's hat, resulting in the Eye being reclaimed.[3] The demon girl then gives to Gomah who places it on his forehead, transforming into a monstrous version of himself.[5]
Gomah uses his newfound power to easily outclass all of his foes, even Super Saiyan 3 Mini Goku. Just as he is about to kill everyone, Neva unleashes a strange power within Goku, enabling the Saiyan to become Super Saiyan 4 and turn the tables on Gomah with staggering strength. In response, Gomah powers up even more, growing to a truly gigantic size and draining Goku of his energy. However, he is halted by the sudden summoning of Demon Realm Porunga, Gomah rushes the dragon in an attempt to stop a wish being granted but is easily swatted away.[6] Gomah continues to use the Eye's power against the Dragon Team, abusing its stamina-restoring properties to the fullest to outlast even Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, before being confronted by Super Saiyan 4 Goku again.[7] Super Saiyan 4 Goku proves to be powerful enough to tire Gomah out, even with the Eye's abilities, nearly resulting in Piccolo removing the eye from Gomah's head, but Gomah manages to squeeze out another power up in time, healing from the hole punched through him by the 10x Kamehameha and becoming stronger. In the midst of his boasting, however, Majin Kuu uses the Book of Magic Items to smack Gomah in the back of the head three times, removing the Eye and depowering him. Glorio then steps on the Eye, disintegrating it.
Much later, Panzy and the others discover the other two Evil Third Eyes in a shop in the Third Demon World, much to their shock.[8]
