Evil Impulse (エビルインパルス) is an energy sphere technique used by Dabura.
Overview
Dabura puts his hand forward at a 90 degree angle and charges a reddish-pink energy sphere. Then, he fires the attack at the opponent, inflicting a lot of damage.
Dabura first uses this attack to kill Kibito, firing it from point-blank range, destroying him. Later, he uses it during his battle against Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 form; after teleporting and avoiding Dabura's flame breath technique, Gohan charges at Dabura and tries to punch him. However, Dabura avoids the attack using an Afterimage and then fires the Evil Impulse at Gohan, blasting him into a lake.
Appearances in games
The technique is named Ball of Death in Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 3, Happy Bomb in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22, and Hell Blitz (ヘルブリッツ) in the Budokai series and Dragon Ball Heroes. It is named Evil Impulse in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, where it is one of Dabura's Blast 2 attack. Evil Impulse also appears in the Raging Blast games, Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale, and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. In Battle of Z, a weaker version appears as Dabura's Blast Spark.
