Evil Explosion is a variation of Explosive Demon Wave used by Piccolo in the Xenoverse series.
Overview[]
First, the user charges up energy in both of their fists, then fires it out as large energy wave with a limited range. The range can be amplified by charging the attack which can be charged in 3 stages. Piccolo will say "Explosive Demon Wave!" when firing the attack.
Variations[]
- Demon Ray - A combination of Evil Explosion and Kamehameha used by Gohan Beast in Xenoverse 2.
Video Game Appearances[]
In Xenoverse, it is named Evil Explosion and is one of Piccolo's Super Skills. The Future Warrior can also learn this technique by completing Piccolo's Training Qualification Mission after taking Piccolo on as the Warrior's Master.
In Xenoverse 2, it returns as one of Piccolo's Super Skills and can learned by the Future Warrior as part of Piccolo's Initiation Test. After the 1.09.00 Update, it can be added to Adult Gohan's custom skillset after purchasing it in Partner Customization. If the Future Warrior is a Saiyan and uses any Super Saiyan Awoken Skill when they fully charge Evil Explosion to Level 3 then they will use Vanishing to appear next to the opponent, then fire in a fashion similar to the Instant Kamehameha. Adult Gohan can also do this when using his Super Saiyan Awoken Skill with Evil Explosion via his custom skillset. It can also be added to Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed)'s custom skillset after purchasing it in Partner Customization. As part of the Hero of Justice Pack 2 DLC, Piccolo (Power Awakening) has an Ultimate Skill variant of Evil Explosion which incorporates a Rush Attack initiated via a kick followed a series of kicks before knocking the opponent away with a powerful kick followed by Rapid Movement dashing knee strike before finishing with a point blank Evil Explosion (Piccolo even shouts "Evil Explosion" in the Funimation dub).
Trivia[]
- While being considered a different technique from Explosive Demon Wave, it has the same name in the Japanese version of Xenoverse 2 (爆力魔波), what makes sense, since in the Japanese version, Piccolo shouts "Bakurikimaha!".[3]
