Evil Aura (悪のオーラ Aku no ōra)[2][3] is a special type of energy utilized by Evil Saiyans.

Cumber utilizing shadow hands
The Evil Aura is a malicious black and dark crimson energy that surrounds an Evil Saiyan, who constantly emits it upon powering up and can manipulate it to create various shapes, such as hands or tails made of shadow. The aura possesses the ability to corrupt other Saiyans, which makes an Evil Saiyan dangerous for their kin to fight head-on due to risk of corruption. Hybrid Saiyans such as Future Trunks appear to have a decreased risk of corruption, as Future Trunks was able to fight against Super Saiyan (Berserk) Goku without being affected. Likewise, the Evil Aura does not appear to pose any risks to a non-Saiyan such as Cooler.
Cumber creates a shadow tail
Transformations may be capable of increasing resistance to the Evil Aura, as both Trunks and Vegeta used their respective forms during their individual fights against a berserk Goku and were not instantly corrupted. Additionally, when fighting Turles and Bojack, both of whom were empowered by Evil Aura, Goku and Vegeta were not affected when using Super Saiyan Blue, suggesting their ability to outmatch the Evil Aura users in power gave them an increased level of resistance. Comparatively, both Cumber and Fu easily corrupted Goku during their respective battles due to their vastly superior strength. The use of an barrier provides the best defense against the Evil Aura, completely preventing it from taking hold over another Saiyan if the shield is strong enough.
Evil Aura-empowered Turles
As part of his plan involving the Universe Tree, Fu imprisoned Cumber within a device which would drain his Evil Aura for Fu's usage. Fu used the Evil Aura to berserkify Goku and Vegeta but failed to do so against Vegito, who had used a barrier variant of his typical Blue form to prevent Cumber's aura from breaking through. In the Super Dragon Ball Heroes anime, Fu also powered up both Turles and Bojack through this aura to allow them to hold their own against Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms, and Towa used the Evil Aura to restrain the captured Time Patrol.
Turles would eventually transform into an Evil Saiyan, much like Cumber, and fought him and Vegeta in a three-way brawl. Despite being driven berserk a second time, Vegeta gained control over the Evil Aura after reaffirming his personal philosophy on Saiyan power, using his Blue form to harness the Evil Aura and become a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Berserk Controlled) to decimate both Turles and Cumber.
Video Game Appearances[]
The Evil Aura first appears in Dragon Ball Heroes. As the "Evil Saiyan" Cumber manifests it as floating shadow hands to substitute for his hands during any animations that would require them. As "Cumber", he does not maintain the shadow hands normally, but manifests them to perform his Désastre Eraser, Savage Tyrant and Hard Désastre Eraser Super Attacks.
