The user energizes their fist with ki to strike an opponent with greater force. It is a widespread technique that varies in style between its users.
Cui uses his variation, the Bomb Strike, against Vegeta, but ends up missing and destroying a mountain on Namek instead. Captain Ginyu uses his Holstein Shock variation to injure his body before using his Body Change to steal Goku's body. Yamcha uses a Ki Blast Thrust to defeat Recoome on King Kai's Planet. Frieza also uses it while fighting Goku.
Goku uses an energized punch named Heroic Force while fighting Majin Vegeta.
Bergamo can use energized blows after increasing his power from receiving incoming attacks, which he attempts to use against Goku during their battle at the Zeno Expo. Kefla attempted to use her variation, Gigantic Breaker against Ultra Instinct Sign Goku during the Tournament of Power, but he dodged it causing her to comically trip throwing her off balance. Android 17 uses an Android Barrier based version called Barrier Punch during the Tournament of Power as well.
In "Goku Revived!! Strongest vs. Strongest Collide!" episode of the Universal Conflict Saga, using his new mastery of Ultra Instinct Sign Goku can focus the energy of Ultra Instinct Sign into his fists and uses an Ultra Instinct Sign enhanced energy punch to separate Oren from Vegeta.

In Super Butōden 3, Future Trunks uses this technique.
In Hyper Dimension, Frieza uses this technique against Goku.
In Legendary Super Warriors, the technique is named Flash Punch.
In The Legacy of Goku II, Vegeta can learn this technique from Master Roshi.

In Xenoverse, Yamcha uses his variation Ki Blast Thrust as one of his Super Skills, which he will teach to the Future Warrior during Yamcha's Training as the Warrior's Master available in the GT Pack 1 DLC. Additionally, Goku's Super God Fist and Nappa's Arm Break are depicted as Energy Punch techniques within the Xenoverse series. While Gohan's Super Dragon Flight is still depicted as an uppercut, it too is depicted as a form of energy punch. Similarly the uppercut portion of Mira's Serious Bomb Ultimate Skill is also depicted as a form of energy punch. Bardock's Saiyan Spirit Ultimate Skill is also depicted as an energy punch in the Xenoverseseries.
In Dragon Ball Legends, Shallot can learn several versions of this technique. Additionally the Shining Blow Special Move Arts used by Super Saiyan Trunks (Teen)(DBL32-02S) appears as an energy punch which can be seen on his character illustration. After punching through the opponent's chest, the energy punch's blast wave can be seen coming out (presumably as a substitute for the blood that appeared when Future Trunks originally used the attack to kill Kogu in Bojack Unbound).
In Xenoverse 2, Bardock also uses the technique as part of his Tyrant Lancer, Saiyan Spirit, and Brave Heat skills. As part of the Extra Pack 3 DLC, Kefla use her version under the name Gigantic Breaker. Goku and certain characters can utilize the Super God Fist variation as a Super Skill. Great Ape boss characters in certain Expert Missions have their own Scatter Attack variation which takes the form of an Energy Punch to the ground that generates a powerful shockwave capable of knocking nearby Time Patrollers into Gates leading to other dimensions of spacetime.
