"You can all go to Hell WITHOUT ME!"
Frieza in an attempt to kill Vegeta and destroy the Earth in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’

Earth Breaker is a last ditch attack utilized by Frieza in order to detonate the planet he is on.

Overview

Frieza presses his palms into the earth of the planet he is on and then detonates the entire planet with his ki, causing the ground to rupture and beams of fire to spew from the Earth, soon resulting in the planet being destroyed.

Usage

In Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, after falling out of his Golden Frieza state and realizing that there was no way for him to defeat Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, Frieza utilized this technique to destroy the Earth, killing Vegeta and everyone else on Earth, except those who were around Whis during the attack. Just prior to using the attack, Frieza, alluding to his time in Hell, made clear that everyone but himself can go there. However, Whis was able to rewind time to the moment just before Frieza uses the technique, allowing Goku to finish him off first.

Video Game Appearances

Repeating Death Beams is named in promotion for, and appears as a special desperation attack of Frieza in Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle. It appears as Golden Frieza's Super Attack in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle under the name Earth Breaker. However, it is fired with only one hand.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, after being overpowered by Goku, Vegeta, and the Future Warrior, Frieza resorts to blowing up the Earth like in the original timeline though due to Whis and Beerus being called away by Chronoa to deal with Towa and Mira, Goku and all the Z-Fighters present are killed due to Whis' absence. Fortunately, Future Trunks arrives in just time to save the Warrior from being killed as well and they return to the Time Nest where they learn that Towa had hacked into the Time Nest's communication systems and pretended to be Chronoa in order to lure Beerus and Whis away to prevent Whis from rewinding time. Chronoa convinces the enraged Beerus that Towa might show up if they fix the history change and thus the Future Warrior returns with Whis and Beerus so Whis can rewind time with his Temporal Do-Over, allowing the Warrior to stop Frieza from destroying the Earth. Just as Frieza is about to launch the attack, the Future Warrior blasts the energy from Frieza's hand with an Energy Wave showing that it is possible to stop this attack without killing the user as Goku did. After Frieza's attack fails, Vegeta promises they won't let him try it again, forcing Frieza and Metal Cooler to take on their Supervillain forms to combat Goku, Vegeta, and the Future Warrior, but are ultimately defeated restoring the timeline.
