**Presumably the saga was skipped as it had already been adapted in Resurrection ‘F’ manga by Toyotarō.
**Though not part of the Dragon Ball Super manga this adaption likely represents what occurred in the unseen Golden Frieza Saga of Dragon Ball Super given Toyotarō involvement in both and presumably intended people to read the Resurrection ‘F’ manga adaption when he skipped the Golden Frieza Saga in Dragon Ball Super only adding a brief summary of the events to make it clear that Frieza's revenge had occurred even though it was not shown and it should be noted that the saga's events are foreshadowed early in manga's God of Destruction Beerus Saga when Garana and his team are killed by Champa after they discover a Super Dragon Ball while searching for New Namek which forces Sorbet to give up on obtaining the Namekian Dragon Balls to revive Frieza foreshadowing his and Tagoma's mission to Earth to revive Frieza with the Earth's Dragon Balls.

**In a Dragon Ball Super extra featured in "Warriors of Universe 6", Sorbet is shown currently residing in Hell along with Shisami, and Frieza after their deaths during the unseen Golden Frieza Saga. In the original Japanese version, Toyotarō's skipping the saga is lampshaded by having Sorbet humorously break the fourth wall when he laments that the manga skipped over their story arc (presumably disappointed as the arc having been previously foreshadowed), though in the english localization it is changed to him complaining about being in Hell.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is the manga adaptation of the movie, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, illustrated by Toyotarō, consisting of three chapters. It covers the start of the film, to the point in Goku and Frieza's fight where the two are about to transform. It also leaves out several points from the movie while adding in several parts exclusive to the manga adaption.

Overview

Synopsis

Many years following his defeat and death, the evil tyrant Frieza is brought back to life by his remaining subordinates. At the same time, Goku and Vegeta train with the angel Whis in order to become stronger. These events eventually lead to Frieza's army invading Earth and the inevitable rematch between Goku and Frieza.

Timeline

The story picks up one year on from the events seen in the movie, Battle of Gods in Age 779.

Chapters

Trivia

  • This is the only manga adaption of the Golden Frieza Saga, as the Dragon Ball Super manga by Toyotarō skipped the Golden Frieza Saga entirely with only a brief retelling of the events in "Beerus and Champa" (thus the events still occur in the Dragon Ball Super manga but are not shown).
    • Presumably the saga was skipped as it had already been adapted in Resurrection ‘F’ manga by Toyotarō.
