Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is the manga adaptation of the movie, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, illustrated by Toyotarō, consisting of three chapters. It covers the start of the film, to the point in Goku and Frieza's fight where the two are about to transform. It also leaves out several points from the movie while adding in several parts exclusive to the manga adaption.
Many years following his defeat and death, the evil tyrant Frieza is brought back to life by his remaining subordinates. At the same time, Goku and Vegeta train with the angel Whis in order to become stronger. These events eventually lead to Frieza's army invading Earth and the inevitable rematch between Goku and Frieza.
The story picks up one year on from the events seen in the movie, Battle of Gods in Age 779.
- This is the only manga adaption of the Golden Frieza Saga, as the Dragon Ball Super manga by Toyotarō skipped the Golden Frieza Saga entirely with only a brief retelling of the events in "Beerus and Champa" (thus the events still occur in the Dragon Ball Super manga but are not shown).
- Presumably the saga was skipped as it had already been adapted in Resurrection ‘F’ manga by Toyotarō.
