'''Administrators''' ''(Sysop)'' are the group of users that oversee all edits made to articles on their corresponding Wiki. ''Moderators'' are a branch of administrators whom are essentially sysop but have the task of keeping the wiki clean and polished, such as watching for vandalism etc.

==Overview==
Here on the ''Dragon Ball Wiki'', administrators take great pride in ensuring that the Wiki sustains an encyclopedic format, correct information, and most of all, order. Not just anyone can become an administrator, it takes hard work, dedication, and advanced knowledge of the Wiki's topics in order to fulfill all of the duties an administrator must complete. Administrators must always try to maintain a resource with official material, with great detail, and including but not limited to, thorough checks and systematic fixes of edits. Administrators should always be able to assist users in times of need whenever possible as well, watch for bad behavior, and have the power to block users and anonymous IP's if they break the Wiki's [[Dragon Ball Wiki:Rules|rules]]. However, just because administrators are given such powers, they are not to abuse them in ways such as locking an article from editing because they like the way they had written it, etc. This is a prime example of misuse of power and will not be tolerated.

''Note: By the decision of the currently active administrative team or any currently active administrator, "Inactive" is labeled on any administrator or bureaucrat who is not active and/or does not regularly log on. "Retired" is labeled on any former administrator or bureaucrat that has been removed from their position due to being inactive for 6 months or longer or chose to voluntarily withdraw from their position because they willingly chose to no longer participate in the wiki. Also, though uncommon, it is possible for a former administrator or bureaucrat to voluntarily withdraw from their respective positions for any reason but still remain active in the wiki, though if they have been eventually inactive in any particular way, the "Inactive" label and "Retired" label (if inactive for 6 months) will be used on them accordingly. Once an administrator or bureaucrat has their rights removed, they will be put from the list of current administrators to the list of former administrators. Retired administrators and bureaucrats, who decide to return and remain active, may or may not be able to regain their administrator or bureaucrat rights. The same also goes for former administrators or bureaucrats who are still active in the wiki. Once rights are regained, any former administrator and bureaucrat will be put back in the list of current administrators, and their status on the wiki, based on activity, will restart, if they weren't already active before. ==Becoming an administrator==

If a member of the Dragon Ball Wiki wants to apply for user rights, they are allowed to do so on [[Dragon Ball Wiki:Request for User Rights|Request for User Rights]]. Similarly, a member is allowed to vote on applications for rights as well. Please read the following regulations and instructions thoroughly before voting or submitting an application. The demotion policy is mentioned below too. The vote totals required for the demotion remain the same as those for promotions as well.
