The initial release was based on the Saiyan Saga through Majin Buu Saga of Dragon Ball Z. An upgraded version called Super Dragon Ball RPG was released March 1, 2010.
Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, Vegeta and Future Trunks are playable characters.

Boy Arc[]
Dragon Ball RPG: Shōnen-hen (DRAGON BALL RPG 少年編 Doragon Bōru Ā Pī Jī Shōnen-hen, lit. Dragon Ball RPG: Boy Arc) was released in Japan on October 29, 2013, for both Android and iOS devices. It follows the Dragon Ball story divided into four chapters: Emperor Pilaf Saga, Tournament Saga, Red Ribbon Army Saga, and King Piccolo Saga. Each chapter is further divided into episodes, recreating events from the series.
The fighting system is similar to that of the Nintendo DS RPG Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans, with Goku, Bulma, Master Roshi, Yamcha, and Krillin as playable characters. Characters included in the story are Goku, Bulma, the Pterodactyl, Turtle, the Bear Thief, Master Roshi, Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, Ox-King, Chi-Chi, Monster Carrot, Mai, Shu, Emperor Pilaf, Krillin, Launch, the World Tournament Announcer, Bacterian, Nam, Ranfan, Suno and her mother, Ninja Murasaki, Android 8, Octopapa, General Blue, Commander Red, Mercenary Tao, Bora, Upa, Korin, Ghost Usher, Fortuneteller Baba, Grandpa Gohan, Master Shen, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, King Piccolo, etc. Items can be collected and brought back to Bulma, who will use them to invent useful items (Capsule House, Dragon Radar, Micro Band, Scouter Drone).
