Death Blaster (デスブラスター) is a Full Power Energy Wave used by Mecha Frieza. He uses it against Super Saiyan Future Trunks in the episode "Another Super Saiyan".
Overview
Frieza raises his hand upward and gathers yellow energy into his hand. He then aims his arm at the desired target and emits an energy wave at the target, inflicting a large amount of damage.
Mecha Frieza uses the Death Blaster on Super Saiyan Trunks
After Future Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan, Mecha Frieza blasts him with the Death Blaster to no effect. Mecha Frieza, furious to see Future Trunks has no damage, fires the Death Blaster a second time at Trunks, who easily counters it. King Cold is also shocked at Frieza attempting to use the attack, remarking "You'll destroy us all!" when firing it a second time, implying that the attack would have severely devastated the area they were in.
Appearances in games
The Death Blaster was named in the video game Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, where it is one of Mecha Frieza's Super Attacks. In Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2, "Death Blaster" is the name of Meta-Cooler's Supernova.
