Dave Mallow (born in Park Ridge, Illinois) is an American actor, voice actor, and writer.

Biography[]

Dave Mallow is the son of a 30-year on-air veteran at Chicago's WGN (his father worked in both radio and television).[1] Dave Mallow attained a BFA in Theater Arts from Drake University in 1970. After a successful career as a radio personality in the Midwestern United States and New York City, he moved to Los Angeles in 1984 to pursue a career in voice acting that has included commercials, film dubbing, looping, narration, audio books, radio plays, voice characterization in numerous video games, toys and cartoons.

He provided the daily intros ("Today on Power Rangers..."), various monsters for Saban Productions, including the benevolent Baboo in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Angemon, Gekkomon, Uppamon, and Centarumon in Digimon: Digital Monsters, Amarao in Digital Manga's Fooly Cooly, and Akuma in Street Fighter IV. He voiced Oolong (Mao Mao), Emperor Pilaf, and Shu in the Harmony Gold dub of Dragon Ball, credited as Colin Philips. Additionally, he served as the ADR Director for the 5 episodes of the TV series dubbed by Harmony Gold (as opposed to their more commonly known joint adaptation of Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies and Dragon Ball: Mystical Adventure).

Some of his other roles include Anti-Spiral in Gurren Lagann, Ieyasu Tokugawa in Warriors Orochi, Joker in Klonoa, Shu in Arc the Lad, Pyoro in Vandread, Hikaru Homura / Leon in Babel II: Beyond Infinity, Bello Korissha in Overman King Gainer, and Kensei Muguruma and Kaien Shiba (2nd voice) in Bleach. He has also narrated various series, including the Mobile Suit Gundam films, Gate Keepers, Burn-Up Scramble, Saiyuki Reload, and Planetes.
