Dark Eyes is one of Hirudegarn's defensive abilities.
Overview[]
Hirudegarn turns into ectoplasm[2] to prevent damage, and reappears in front of the enemy for a surprise attack. This move seems to be reflexive in nature, making Hirudegarn invincible due to his intangibility. This technique can only be bypassed when Hirudegarn is physically attacking, as he needs to be tangible to make contact with something.
Usage[]
In Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon, Hirudegarn used this technique against the Z-Fighters.

In the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it is named Dark Eyes where it is one of Hirudegarn's Blast 1 that allows him to avoid a single attack.
In Dragon Ball Heroes, it is used by Hirudegarn as a boss to dodge attacks if he wins a Charge Impact.
In Dragon Ball Fusions, Baby is able to use this technique after possessing Hirudegarn.
In Xenoverse 2, Artwork 101 depicts Post-Transformation Hirudegarn emerging from a cloud of ectoplasm produced via Dark Eyes.
Trivia[]
- The English dub's description of Dark Eyes' weakness was slightly different, as it mentions that the intangibility cannot be maintained if the user is undergoing intense emotions.
