"Cell Invades the Airwaves! Announcing, "The Cell Games!"" (テレビが乗っ取られた！セルゲーム会見生放送 Terebi ga Nottorareta! Seru Gēmu Kaiken-Namahōsō, lit. "The Television's Been Hijacked! A Live Broadcast of the Cell Games Press Conference") is the eighty-third episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai. This episode first aired in Japan on November 28, 2010. Its original American airdate was October 26, 2011.
Summary
Cell broadcasts his announcement of the Cell Games
When Krillin and Vegeta arrive, Future Trunks informs everyone of the martial arts tournament being held by Cell. Android 16 asks to be taken back to Capsule Corporation, where he can be fixed. Bulma also notifies everyone at Kame House to go there too. Cell then heads off to a nearby news station to broadcast his message via television, announcing details about the upcoming "Cell Games", revealing that if he wins, he will slaughter the entire human race before completely destroying Earth. Meanwhile, Goku and Gohan are still training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Trivia
- Master Roshi says that the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament took place 5 years after the 21st, though it actually took place 3 years after. He also says that Goku was a "blushing newlywed" at the 23rd Tournament, though he and Chi-Chi did not marry until after the tournament was over.
- In the Funimation dub, after Trunks vows to go back into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Vegeta says "Neither you nor Cell will be needed, actually". He should have said "Neither you nor Kakarot will be needed, actually".
