Buu-gi is type of Gi worn by Majins that was named in Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

Overview

Buu-gi is a type of Gi worn by members of the Majin race. Unlike traditional Gi, Buu-gi have a variety of different styles, and some resemble clothing worn by Majin Buu, the Metamorans, and Yardrat. Like the Majin's, Buu-gi are elastic and are designed to conform to a Majin's body type (as well as the Majin's gender). Buu-gi can also regenerate with their wearer if they are blown to pieces.

Types

Various types of Buu-gi are depicted in Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball Xenoverse as clothing worn by members of the Majin race. Unlike clothing typically worn by humans and Saiyans, all types of Buu-gi can be worn by Majin of both genders since buu-gi are designed to conform to both a Majin's gender and body type.

Pure Buu-gi

The clothing originally worn by Kid Buu, Future Kid Buu, Xeno Majin Buu in their Pure Majin forms and the first known type of Buu-gi given Kid Buu and his counterparts are known to have existed since Time Immemorial (as Bibidi claims to have created him where actually false, as the wizard only summoned the legendary Majin out of hibernation). In Dragon Ball Online and Xenoverse 2, Pure Majin wear this Buu-gi variant while in their Pure Majin form which is accessible via the Purification Awoken Skill. However some Pure Majin Time Breakers wear Time Breaker style Battle Armor similar to the clothing worn by the Time Breaker Majin twins Haru Haru and Shun Shun, though with Buu-gi style black pants and belt with golden buckle (though it lacks the Majin M Mark).

Interestingly, Kid Buu retains the outfit after absorbing South Supreme Kai as only his muscle mass and body size increase as a result of said absorption with only its size increasing to fit his new Huge Buu form which incidentally resembles the clothing later worn by Super Buu.

In Dragon Ball Heroes, Kid Buu and Xeno Kid Buu wear this type of Buu-gi which merge with the clothing of certain characters that they absorb creating Buu-gi variants of those clothes.

Babidi's Clothes (Buu-gi)

Absorbing Babidi, causes his clothes to merge with the Pure Buu-gi to create a Buu-gi variant of Babidi's Clothes.

Battle Armor (Time Breaker, Buu-gi)

Time Breaker Majin wearing the Buu-gi Battle Armor variant from Dragon Ball Online

Pure Majin members of the Time Breakers wear a variant of Time Breaker Battle Armor (which is based on similar style Battle Armor worn by Mira, Haru Haru, and Shun Shun) with black Buu-gi style pants, black belt with golden buckle, Mira style black bracers, and a X-shaped Time Breaker mask.

Supreme Kai Outfit (Kibito Kai, Buu-gi)

Absorbing Kibito Kai, causes his Supreme Kai Outfit to merge with the Pure Buu-gi to create a Buu-gi variant of Kibito Kai's Supreme Kai Outfit.

Dabura's Clothes (Demon God, Buu-gi)

When Xeno Majin Buu absorbs Demon God Dabura, it causes Demon God Dabura's Clothes to merge with the Pure Buu-gi worn Xeno Majin Buu (Dark Dragon Ball Fused) to create a Buu-gi variant of Demon God Dabura's Clothes.

Majin Buu's Clothes

Majin Buu's Clothes worn by Good Buu and Evil Buu

The clothing originally worn by Majin Buu after Kid Buu absorbed Grand Supreme Kai and became Innocent Buu. It is the first Buu-gi variant created as a result of Kid Buu's Absorption ability. This style of clothing was also worn by Evil Buu after separating from Good Buu who retains the clothing worn by Innocent Buu. Majin Buu's clothes can be seen as the prototype for the Buu-gi worn by the Majin descendants of Mr. Buu and Miss Buu.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the Future Warrior (of any race or gender) can obtain Majin Buu's Clothes to wear and increases the wearer's stamina and Ki Blast Supers by 3 while decreasing their basic ATK and Strike Supers by 3.

In Dragon Ball SD, Innocent Buu retains this Buu-gi even after absorbing various characters on The Lookout, such as Videl and Master Roshi as only his facial features change as a result of said absorptions.

Super Buu-gi

The clothing originally worn by Super Buu which resembles the clothing worn by Pure Majin and Kid Buu (Pure/South Supreme Kai Absorbed). Like with Kid Buu's absorption of Grand Supreme Kai creating the Majin Buu's Clothes worn by Innocent Buu, Super Buu often gains the clothing of those he absorbs (the outfit is determined based upon the strongest person he has absorbed completely as their traits including their clothes become dominant).

Demon Clothes (Buu-gi)

Main article: Demon Clothes Absorbing Piccolo causes his Demon Clothes to merge with the Super Buu-gi, creating a Buu-gi variant of Piccolo's Demon Clothes which features Piccolo's training cape (though it is unclear if the cape is weighted). After the absorbed Gotenks' fusion times out, Super Buu reverts to this outfit due to him taking on the traits of the strongest person he has absorbed completely (when the victim is contained within one of the absorption pods Inside Buu) which happened to be Piccolo who was stronger than the unfused Goten & Trunks. Super Buu can also obtain this outfit by simply absorbing Piccolo in certain video games.

Gotenks' Metamoran Clothes (Buu-gi)

Main article: Metamoran Absorbing Gotenks (and Piccolo) causes Gotenks' Metamoran Clothes to merge with the Super Buu-gi, creating a Buu-gi variant of Gotenks' Metamoran Clothes which features Gotenks' Metamoran vest. However when Gotenks' fusion times out, this outfit is lost due to Goten and Trunks being weaker than Piccolo who's traits become dominant due to him currently the strongest person Super Buu had absorbed. Super Buu also gains this outfit by absorbing Gotenks in certain video games.

Interestingly some later Buu-gi variants worn by the descendants of Mr. Buu and Miss Buu seemingly incorporate design elements of Metamoran clothing indicating they may have been influenced by this Buu-gi variant.

Turtle School Uniform (No Symbol, Buu-gi)

Main article: Turtle School Uniform

Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed) with his Turtle School Buu-gi shirts removed

Absorbing Gohan causes his symbol-less Turtle School Uniform to merge with the Super Buu-gi, creating a Buu-gi variant of Gohan's Turtle School Uniform which features the orange overshirt and blue undershirt). Super Buu retains this outfit after absorbing Vegito who avoids being completely absorbed by protecting himself with a Barrier which prevents Goku and Vegeta from being absorbed when their supposedly permanent Potara fusion times out (as Elder Kai was unaware Potara fusion was only permanent if a Supreme Kai was involved). Super Buu removes the top portion of the uniform causing what remained of the outfit to resemble his normal Super Buu-gi while retaining the physical alterations to his body due to absorbing Gohan (his strongest absorption at the time). In the anime, he loses the outfit due to the removal of his absorption pods causing him to revert to Kid Buu (w/ South Supreme Kai Absorbed). Super Buu can also obtain this outfit via absorbing Gohan in certain video games.

Vegeta's Clothes (Buu-gi)

Absorbing Vegeta completely in Budokai 2 causes the top portion of Vegeta's blue bodysuit to merge with the Super Buu-gi, creating a Buu-gi variant of said clothing. In the main series, despite absorbing Vegeta, Super Buu does not gain this outfit due to his strongest absorption at the time begin Gohan, as Goku and Vegeta avoided absorbed being completely due to their fusion Vegito creating a barrier when he was absorbed with their fusion timing out shortly there after.

Bio Suit (Frieza, Buu-gi)

Main articles: Bio Suit and Frieza Race Absorbing Frieza in Budokai 2 causes the Super Buu-gi to merge with portions of Final Form Frieza's Bio Suit (Frieza race body tissue that acts as biological armor).

Bio Suit (Cell, Buu-gi)

Main articles: Bio Suit and Bio-Android Absorbing Cell in Budokai 2 causes the Super Buu-gi to merge with portions of Perfect Cell's Bio Suit (Bio-Android body tissue that acts as biological armor for Cell and his offspring due to possessing Frieza race genes).

Turtle Hermit Uniform/Gi (Tien/Yamcha, Buu-gi)

Main articles: Gi and Turtle Hermit Uniform Absorbing Tien & Yamcha in Budokai 2 causes the Super Buu-gi to merge with Yamcha's Turtle School Uniform & Tien Shinhan's Gi, creating a Buu-gi variant of the three Gi.

Android 21's Majin Clothes

Android 21 (Transformed, Good) wearing her Majin Clothes

In her transformed states Android 21 and her fissions wear their own Majin style clothing presumably due to the influence and magical nature of her Majin cells which are dominant in her transformed states. The pants she wears are similar to those worn by Majin Buu, but her belt lack the "M" mark and she wears black & golden high heels though their coloration matches Kid Buu's footwear. Like female Majin in Online and the Xenoverse series, she wears a top to cover her breasts which takes the form of a black tube top. Like her human form, she wears gold hoop earrings and black gauntlet style sleeves similar to Kid Buu's gauntlets though she wears them with golden bracelets. Her fission retain the same clothing in their transformed state and evil 21 retains it after absorbing cell as the absorption has no effect on her clothing.

Buu-gi

The basic Buu-Gi worn by the Majin. This Gi features gloves and pants like those worn by Good Buu. The boots resemble Good Buu's when worn by males and Kid Buu's when worn by females. The upper body portion of the gi conforms to its wearer. When worn by male Majin the upper body portion conforms around their midsection. When worn by females the upper body portion conforms around their bust much like a bra. In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the Buu-gi has no effect on the wearer's stats.

Buu-gi Gravity

A full body Buu-Gi that is very elastic. The upper body portion somewhat resembles a Majin form of Battle Armor. It also features an obi with straps that resemble a garter belt in design. Pants are basically the same design as of the basic Buu-gi. The Buu-gi Gravity lacks gloves and instead features a pair of bracelets. The boots have a futuristic, space age like design. It increase the wearers health and Ki Blast Supers by 2 while decreasing their Basic Attack and Strike Supers by 2.

Dyno Woo-gi

A Buu-gi popular among the Majin and noted for its stylish scarf. The upper body portion and pants have a design that gives it the appearance that they are a one piece bodysuit (when they are actually separate pieces), an illusion which is further enhanced by its belt. The upper body portion, boots, and gloves feature buttons on straps used to fasten them in place. It increases the wearer's stamina and Ki Blasts Supers by 4 while decreasing Basic ATK and Strike Supers by 4.

Dynamic Strong Suit

Female Majin Future Warrior wearing the Dynamic Strong Suit in Xenoverse artwork

A Buu-gi popular among the Majin due to its cape and snappy collar. It resembles the Dyno Woo-gi in overall design though with a few changes her and their such as the gloves and boots lack of buttons. It increases Stamina, Basic ATK, and Strike Supers by 4 while decreasing Ki Blast Supers by 4.

Given its name and style of cape, it seems to have apparently been inspired by clothing worn by Mr. Satan, who friendship with Good Buu played an important role in Majin history.

Fun Suit

A battle suit popular among the Majin which is said to make them feel like dancing with they put it on. Its overall appears is reminiscent of a jester. When worn by males, the upper body portion takes the form of a vest and a long coat when worn by females. When worn by male Majins the lower body portion resemble the pants worn by Majin Buu, with the addition of leggings. When worn by female characters the lower body portion features shorts and leggings, though the shorts are covered up by the upper body portion's long coat. The boots when worn by females are slightly longer and their design differs slightly from when they are worn by males. It increases Ki and Ki Blast Suppers by 3 while decreasing Basic ATK and Strike Supers by 3. This style of Buu-gi appears in both Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

Light Heart Suit

The ideal Buu-gi, with the perfect balance of style and combat utility. Its overall appearance somewhat resembles a cross between a Metamoran clothing and Battle Armor. The outfit feature heart shapes on the gloves, boots, and armor on the upper and lower body portions. The lower body portion features a skirt of armor, baggy shorts, and leggings. Interestingly the upper body portion conforms around a Female Majin chest giving them a more busty appearance. It increases Ki and Ki Blast Supers by 4 while decreasing Basic ATK and Strike Supers by 4.

Time Patrol Gi

The official patroller outfit for new Majin Time Patrol recruits in Age 852. It comes in different styles for males and female.

Video Game Appearances

Buu-gi appear in Dragon Ball Online, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and Dragon Ball Heroes worn by Majin characters.
