Broly effortlessly overwhelms Goku
Prior to Broly being revealed as the Legendary Super Saiyan, and in large part because of Paragus restraining Broly's power to his base form via his crown, Paragus claims that Broly's power level is weaker than his own, which is confirmed earlier by Future Trunks, citing the latter as being a "toothpick" by comparison. However, his base form may have been weaker than Paragus, at least at the time he was first adorned with the crown, as the latter is able to pin him down long enough to put the crown on him and Broly struggles to knock Paragus away during his screaming fit. Broly's ki in his Super Saiyan form was strong enough to be barely sensed from King Kai's planet while he was causing destruction in the South Galaxy.
In addition, even when in his restrained Super Saiyan A-type state, it is heavily implied that it was powerful enough to obliterate the South Galaxy single-handedly, leaving only a few planets and stars. While he was in his Legendary Super Saiyan form, Broly's ki is potent enough to be sensed all the way from Kami's Lookout on Earth from New Planet Vegeta. While in his heavily restrained Super Saiyan A-type form, he is able to make base Goku struggle a little bit, although he is restrained by Paragus' headband. When he reaches the full power of his Super Saiyan A-type, he is capable of taking numerous attacks from Super Saiyan Second Grade Vegeta without flinching.
When in Legendary Super Saiyan form, he is stronger than Goku and Gohan in their Super Saiyan forms, Future Trunks and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Second Grade forms and the Super Namekian Piccolo; he easily beats all five of them around. Even when Piccolo and Goku both barrage Broly with punches and kicks, Broly takes no damage, and if anything effortlessly dodged their combined front and wipes them aside. Perhaps most tellingly, he purposely took a point-blank Super Kamehameha from Super Saiyan Goku, and not only emerged completely unscathed but laughed the attack off, even proceeding to sarcastically ask Goku what the attack was supposed to be. Being able to take attacks from Super Saiyan Goku without any damage meaning that Broly was at least twice as strong as Goku.[1]
Broly also implies just after murdering Paragus that his endurance in this form was powerful enough that he could withstand being caught in New Planet Vegeta's impending collision with Comet Camori. His physical strength in this form was also enough to effortlessly crush Paragus' Attack Ball, which was heavily armored and then threw it off the planet. However, the channeling of the ki of the exhausted base form Gohan, Vegeta, Future Trunks and Piccolo into Goku proves superior to Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan form. When Goku is significantly powered up by the ki, Broly also expresses some shock and fear at the unexpected power increase, although this was short-lived, even confidently declaring that, regardless of how much power was donated by the other Z-Fighters to Goku, it wouldn't be enough to kill him. It is stated by Vegeta that he is the most powerful Saiyan in all of history. Although not confirmed, it is possibly implied that his Legendary Super Saiyan form may have been stronger than Gohan's potential Super Saiyan 2 form at the time (Due to the movie's supposed timeline placement being prior to the Cell Games taking place), as Goku urged Gohan to flee when Broly threatened him despite already being aware of his true hidden power.
In addition, Broly also was shown to possess exceptional stamina, being capable of surviving grievous wounds that would have normally killed other individuals. These included being stabbed in the heart during the time of his infancy and being punched in the abdomen by an empowered Goku and then forcibly exploding at the end of their fight. Due to his Saiyan Power, he inevitably grew much stronger during these times.
After gaining more Saiyan Power in his second movie appearance, Gohan states that Super Saiyan C-type Broly is just as much of a challenge as before, suggesting that his Super Saiyan C-type state in the movie was of comparable power to his Legendary Super Saiyan state from his previous appearance. In this form he is able to easily overwhelm Videl, as well as Goten and Trunks in their Super Saiyan forms before proceeding to fight on par with base Gohan. On a related note, it was also implied that Broly managed to overcome the venting problem with his Legendary Super Saiyan form, as he does not vent at all during his fight with Gohan late in the film. In his Legendary Super Saiyan form, he is able to defeat Super Saiyan 2 Gohan without any difficulty. However, with Trunks barrier helping to block Broly's connection to his Gigantic Meteor, the full power of the Family Kamehameha used by Super Saiyan Goku (potentially as a spirit only, or even just an illusion[2]), Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, and Super Saiyan Goten was powerful enough to push Broly into the core of the sun. In addition, even when comatose, his body still emitted a significantly high ki signature, which was implied by Goten briefly pausing his flight maneuvers upon introducing himself to the Natade Village inhabitants due to sensing something in the mountains (strongly implied to be Broly's Ki signature).
- Dragon Ball Heroes

Goku, Mira and Broly battle each other
Upon being embedded with a Dark Dragon Ball and gaining a Time Breaker mask, Super Saiyan 4 Broly becomes Dark Broly, becoming enough of a monster to easily ignore Demon Goddess Towa and Xeno Paragus' combined efforts to brainwash him and get him under control, as well as strike the duo with enough force to knock Xeno Paragus through a spacetime portal and revert Towa to her base form. After Mira absorbs Towa and enters his Final Form, Dark Broly proves to be an even match for him, which is further reinforced by Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Goku joining the brawl and Mechikabura stating all three fighters have roughly the same battle power. Broly is knocked unconscious as a result of the final beam struggle between his Dark Blast Stinger, Mira's Peeler Storm and Xeno Goku's 10x Kamehameha.
In the manga adaptation of the Dark King Mechikabura Saga, Dark Broly is able to easily knock aside Chamel, and forces Towa and Dark Gogeta to retreat.
In the game, Dark Broly is able to overwhelm Xeno King Vegeta and Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Bardock at the same time - killing Xeno King Vegeta during the battle - however he is defeated when Xeno Bardock comes across the Key Sword and uses it on him.
In the anime, during the Universe Creation Saga, Broly was noted to have grown exceptionally more powerful from having survived death repeatedly. In Legendary Super Saiyan form, he pressures Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno Vegito, yet he is unable to land a single blow and remains vastly outclassed. His boost in power allows him to enter Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker, but while he initially manages to outdo both Xeno Vegito and Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, both fusions remain relatively unharmed by his attacks, with Vegito even later handling Broly on his own.
In the manga, after gaining a boost in power due to recovering from near-death, he was able to hold his own against Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno Vegito with his Super Saiyan 4 form, and after taking on the form himself is able to fight on par with him.
In the game, Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Broly was able to overwhelm both Vegito and Xeno Vegito. He was strong enough that Vegito couldn't see a way of stopping him through force. He later defeated Super Saiyan 3 Full Power Cumber as a Legendary Super Saiyan.
Later in the anime, in Fu's Pseudo Universe, Legendary Super Saiyan Broly proved able to effortlessly overwhelm base Goku and Hearts. Likewise, the combined might of Frieza and Meta-Cooler, who were both in their Golden forms and enhanced further by a Dark Dragon Ball, were just as easily repelled by Broly with a single blast.
Broly and Cumber face off
In the manga, Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Broly puts up an even battle with Super Saiyan 3 Cumber, their battle is halted however by Hearts - though he thinks that Cumber could have won.
In the anime version of the Super Space-Time Tournament, a version of Legendary Super Saiyan Broly attempts to fight the overwhelmingly powerful Jiren, but the Pride Trooper easily dodges his attacks. In the manga, Broly also fails to inflict any damage upon Jiren. Broly is then unable to overcome Hit's Time-Skip and is defeated by Jiren with a single heavy blow.
When fighting Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno Gogeta, Broly is able to match the merged Saiyan with his own Limit Breaker form, even landing a punch which visibly damaged the mighty fusion. In the manga, the fight was much the same, though when Xeno Gogeta began tapping into his full power, Broly was noticeably outmatched.
- Victory Mission
In Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, Super Saiyan 4 Broly is shown to be strong enough to easily defeat Eis Shenron, Nuova Shenron, and Rage Shenron (Electric Slime Body Build) with only a few blows, and he is completely unharmed following his fights with them.
- OVAs and cinematic attractions
In Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, Goku states that Hatchiyack may be even stronger than Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (from Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan).
In Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokai, Broly in his God Broly form is shown to be strong enough to fight against both Super Saiyan Blue Goku and base Vegeta at the same time. A full charge attack from Broly knocks out Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta when he is forced to take the full brunt of it as he defends Bulma, however, God Broly is no match for God Fusion Goku and is quickly dispatched with a God Kamehameha, although he does temporarily hold his own against the fusion's various physical blows.
- Statements by authors and guidebooks
It is stated in Daizenshuu 6 that after his resuscitation and resultant Saiyan Power, Super Saiyan Broly's power surpasses that of Super Saiyan Goku. Additionally, it is stated that Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is a foe with bottomless power.[2]
It is stated on the Toei website for the Dragon Ball films that Janemba was the strongest of the original thirteen movie villains, with Hirudegarn being the second strongest of them,[3] making Broly weaker than these two villains.
Takao Koyama, the writer for the first thirteen Dragon Ball Z films, stated that - even including the TV anime - nobody exists in the world who's stronger than Broly, and that there is absolutely no way Goku could beat Broly outside of the unorthodox methods he used in the films.[4]
Takao Koyama later went on to state that Broly is the most powerful of the movie antagonists that preceded him. However, Koyama went on to state that Broly was a pushover compared to Beerus.[5] Whether Broly in Movie 8 was stronger than Bojack was left ambiguous due to the latter never actually fighting Goku. After being reduced to his syrupy form, Bio-Broly is also weaker than Broly. He does also match up with being stronger than the previous villain (Android 13, in this case).
The English teaser trailer for Broly - Second Coming also refers to him as the "strongest being in the universe".[6]
A French guidebook indicated referred to Broly as the strongest character in Dragon Ball Z, stating that he can go directly from level 0 to Super Saiyan 3. It also states that were he to fight Super Saiyan 4 Goku or Super Saiyan 2 Gogeta, there is a good chance he would emerge victorious.[7]
- Video games
In Super Butōden 2, Broly manages to easily kill Bojack provided the Z Fighters fail to beat him earlier, suggesting he was far stronger than the latter.
In the alternate storylines for Supersonic Warriors 2, Broly was shown to not only be strong enough to eliminate the Z-Fighters, but also Cooler, Perfect Cell, and even Majin Buu; in addition, in the second alternate storyline, he was also powerful enough to defeat Gotenks with minimum effort. He was also capable of surviving being trapped in lava, as evidenced by the ending to the latter storyline.
Broly's profile in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi describes him as "the greatest, most powerful adversary" out of the villains in that game, which includes Super Buu (Gohan absorbed), Strongest Form 2 Baby Vegeta, and Super 17.
In a what-if scenario in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Max Power Master Roshi was able to beat Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan form.
In his story mode during Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, Broly was shown to be powerful enough in his Legendary Super Saiyan form to defeat Krillin, a post-Cell Games Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan, Super Saiyan Trunks and Super Saiyan Vegeta, though he was shown to be shocked during the ending of his story when Goku became a Super Saiyan 2.

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly's power level listed at 1,400,000,000 in V-Jump
When encountered as a secret boss at the time of the Vegeta Saga in Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans, Legendary Super Saiyan Broly's power level is 999,999, the highest possible in the game. His official power level as a Legendary Super Saiyan in Movie 8, is around 1,400,000,000 according to a 2004 V-Jump announcing his appearance in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, as well as in Dragon Ball Z: Scouter Battle Taikan Kamehameha - Ora to Omee to Scouter.
In Dragon Ball: Raging Blast and Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, it is stated in Super Saiyan 3 Broly's profile that he survived being launched into the sun during Broly - Second Coming, and the Saiyan Power obtained from this event allowed him to take on a Legendary Super Saiyan 3 form. He was, however, still defeated when he attacked Earth once more.
Promotional material for one boss mission in Dragon Ball Heroes references Super Saiyan 3 Broly as being stronger than Full Power Frieza, Hatchiyack, Super Perfect Cell, and Super Buu (Gohan absorbed). In the reveal trailer for his Super Saiyan 4 form in Dragon Ball Heroes, Broly is able to defeat Super Saiyan 4 Goku (GT), Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta (GT), Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks (Adult), Mr. Satan, Piccolo and all of the Super Class avatars without taking any injuries. In the JM7 animated trailer, Broly easily fights on par with Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta, Super Saiyan 3 Beat, Super Saiyan 3 Note, and Super Pikkon, with the heroes struggling in their fight against him. Promotional material also states that his Super Saiyan 4 form is "the appearance of an even stronger warrior", suggesting he may be more powerful than any previous character in Dragon Ball Heroes, and he is called an "ultimate warrior".
In Shin Budokai, he was shown to be powerful enough to defeat present day Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 form (though Gohan later admits he hadn't gone all out), and also forced a Super Saiyan 2 Goku to retreat. However, he was implied to be inferior to Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta, as the latter managed to best him and nearly ended up killed before Janemba's Evil Energy teleported Broly away. He also was defeated by Majin Vegeta-possessed Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta. His strength was such that, despite being designed to have unlimited stamina, 18 was left tired from her encounters with Broly. Broly also ended up defeating Frieza in the first encounter, though he eventually ended up defeated and presumably killed by Frieza in the second encounter (with it being heavily implied that the main cause for the defeat was Frieza using Janemba's Evil Energy to empower himself). He eventually was encountered in Hell by Goku, who narrowly manages to subdue Broly in his Super Saiyan 3 form, albeit with severe enough effort on Goku's part that he required a Senzu Bean afterward.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, it is stated by Future Trunks that when Legendary Super Saiyan Broly becomes infected by Demigra's Dark Magic, his power multiplies by several folds. In fact, it takes the combined might of Great Ape Bardock, the Future Warrior, and Vegeta (Frieza Saga) to defeat him.
Promotional material for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 states that Broly is the fighter recognized by everyone to have the highest power.[8]
In Xenoverse 2, imperfect Supervillain Broly is apparently strong enough to interfere in the battle between Majin Vegeta and Goku (who were both fighting in their Super Saiyan 2 forms). However, he is shown to be weaker than the 2nd Future Warrior who was able to defeat him while Majin Vegeta fought with Goku and then Majin Buu. In his full Supervillain form, Broly's power increased even more. It is stated by Elder Kai that even Ultimate Gohan will have a hard time fighting both Supervillain Broly and Super Buu. However, despite his power increase, he is still shown to be inferior to the Future Warrior. In his Ultra Supervillain form, Broly is initially speculated by Chronoa to be the strongest of his various incarnations, though he is still defeated by the Future Warrior with a Miracle Blow.
In both Xenoverse games, it is heavily implied that Broly in his various Legendary Super Saiyan forms (exempting Broly God) is drastically weaker than Super Saiyan God. In pre-battle dialogue, Broly has a noticeably terrified tone when asking what Goku what his Super Saiyan God form is supposed to be, while Goku declares he has gone to a new world that Broly will never know.
In Dragon Ball Fusions, Great Ape Broly manages to get back up after being defeated by Tekka's Team but is easily blasted away by Beerus, showing that his Great Ape Broly form, while powerful, is no match for Universe 7's God of Destruction.
In Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission, Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is shown to be stronger than Note (even if she has achieved God Class-up or Super God Class-up which grant her access to Super Saiyan God or Super Saiyan Blue respectively as her default form) as he is unfazed by her Ki Blast and is able to knock her out cold with a single Ki Blast of his own. However this causes Beat to transform into a Super Saiyan, who delivers a punishing defeat to Broly even after he transforms into a Super Saiyan 3. Broly is able to become stronger than Beat after transforming into a Super Saiyan 4, but is defeated after Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta transform into Super Saiyan 4s. Additionally, Super Saiyan Xeno Vegeks was confident he could defeat Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, but it is unclear if he was correct as he defused before he could fight.
Abilities
- Flight – The ability to fly with the use of ki.
- Ki Blast – The most basic form of energy wave.
- Ki Sense - The ability that allows the user to sense ki and power levels. He is implied to have this ability just prior to his going berserk and ascending to Legendary Super Saiyan, as he immediately stopped and in a barely registered whisper from rage declared Kakarot's presence in Paragus' ship before Vegeta or Paragus learned of Goku being there.
- Saiyan Power - The Saiyan ability to grow stronger as a Saiyan fights and grow stronger after recovering from a near fatal injury. Broly's Saiyan Power seems to be exceptionally strong compared to normal Saiyans, able to jump to new transformations from the experience.
- Regeneration/Healing Factor – Broly is shown to have an enhanced healing factor compared to normal Saiyans. As a baby he quickly healed from being stabbed through the stomach, after "exploding" from energy at the end of his first appearance he managed to heal his own wounds quickly.
- Oxygen Independence - Unusually for most Saiyans, Broly is seemingly capable of breathing in outer space, which is best evident with Paragus' flashbacks to Broly's childhood and teenage years, where a Super Saiyan Broly was seen flying through an asteroid belt in space without any apparent shielding.
- Bloody Smash – First, Broly kicks the opponent up into the air, where he grabs their head and throws them down to the ground. Then, he smashes the opponent's head into the ground and stomps on their back deeper into the ground, inflicting a high amount of damage.
- Crushing in Hands - A technique where the user uses their hands to crush opponents who are smaller than the user.
- Bone Crusher – Broly places the opponent in an extremely brutal bear hug, lifting them off the ground in the process. Broly then after crushing his opponent long enough then emits an Explosive Wave, further maximizing the pain towards his opponent. Used against Gohan.

Broly using Powered Shell
- Powered Shell – A technique used to generate an energy shield around the user to protect them from attacks. This ability was capable of withstanding lava and even planetary destruction, the former being demonstrated by his survival of Gohan's trap against him, and the latter was confirmed with his surviving Planet Vegeta's destruction and implied by Broly's comment about how Paragus was naive to think he would have died from Comet Camori colliding with New Planet Vegeta shortly after murdering him. It apparently had limits, such as extremely powerful attacks, as evidenced by how it was unable to block the Family Kamehameha.

Broly prepares his Omega Blaster
- Eraser Cannon – First, Broly charges a green light energy from around his body and gathers it into his palm to form a bright-green energy sphere. Next, he waves his hand forward and fires the attack at the opponent, inflicting a large amount of damage. In some cases, he also fires it from his chest.
- Double Eraser Cannon - First, Broly charges two Eraser Cannons, one in each of his hands. Then, he swings his hands forward as he fires the energy spheres one by one at the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage. It is also implied in a flashback that this attack was potent enough to completely obliterate a planet.
- Trap Shooter - The user draws their right hand back and charges a green or yellow energy sphere. Then, they wave their hand forward and fire several, compact, powerful energy sphere bullets that follow the opponent's movements, inflicting considerable damage.
- Eraser Shot Volley – First, Broly bends over slightly and charges an Eraser Cannon in his right hand. Then, he fires the attack and follows up by firing a barrage of Eraser Cannons from both hands at the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
- Machine Gun Shot - Broly outstretches his hand and launches a rapid-fire barrage of Eraser Cannons at his opponent, covering the landscape in smoke from the ensuing explosion.
- Blaster Meteor – First, the user forms an Energy Shield around his body. Then, he brings his hands apart to each side and releases many powerful energy blasts that home in on the target, inflicting a massive amount of damage.
- Eraser Blow – Broly flies past the opponent with an Eraser Cannon in his hand that he brings near the opponent's stomach. He then throws his hand with the Eraser Cannon forward and, at point blank range, blasts the opponent away. The screen turns dark after the attack for dramatic effect.
- Omega Blaster – Broly launches a lime green energy sphere that changes into an enormous energy bomb of devastating power, while saying "Struggle all you want, in the end you still die!" Not only can he control the size of this attack, but he can also power it up by launching ki blasts into it to push it forward, making it even more powerful and destructive enough to destroy the whole planet. However, this also gives indication to the technique's weakness. Without a steady supply of ki blasts, the Omega Blaster will shrink and weaken in power.
- Gigantic Eraser - A powered down variant of the Omega Blaster.
- Planet Geyser – When the energy blast hits the ground, it explodes and creates a giant geyser-like blast of energy that blasts the opponent up in the air, inflicting massive damage and capable of causing massive collateral damage to the surrounding area.
- Gigantic Lariat – Broly proceeds to rush at the enemy at high speed and then grab his opponent by the neck just as they turn around, slamming him/her into a wall with enough force to leave a massive crater upon impact. He then continues forcing the opponent through the crater and simultaneously strangling them, before eventually releasing them and letting them fall to the ground upon the enemy losing consciousness.[2]
- Kakarot! – Broly becomes enraged by his memories of Goku and with that rage, his strength rises.
- Gigantic Slam – Broly charges a green energy shield around his body. Then, he jumps up into the air and drops down to punch the opponent away onto the ground, inflicting considerable damage.
- Gigantic Spike – Broly grabs the opponent's head and flies down to the ground as he drives the opponent head-first into the ground or a wall, resulting in an earthquake and inflicting a massive amount of damage.
- Gigantic Buster – Broly shouts "Get out!" as he charges at the opponent and uppercuts them away up into the air. Then, he flies up into the air and lands on the ground, where he headbutts the falling opponent before roundhouse kicking them onto the ground. Finally, Broly runs at the reeling opponent and kicks them up into the air before blasting them away into the ground with a Gigantic Eraser, inflicting a massive amount of damage.
- Gigantic Press – He rushes at his foes with considerable force, using his own body (with a yellow aura around) as a weapon, inflicting a high amount of damage.
- Gigantic Driver - After powering up, Broly bludgeons his opponent with repeated heavy punches before sending them flying with a cross-armed dual punch. He chases after them with Gigantic Stamp to leave them embedded in the ground, then flies back up to charge and fire a double-handed Eraser Cannon in Final Flash-like fashion, blasting the opponent into smithereens.
- Gigantic Stamp - Broly leaps into the air and crashes back down to stomp on the opponent's chest, brutally using them as a living trampoline and creating several craters underneath the victim from the sheer impact of each stomp. After prolonged usage of the attack, the ground eventually collapses, taking Broly's opponent with it, and also requiring Broly to avoid sinking with it.
- Seismic Power – After transforming into a Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly powers up to such a degree that his screams and laughter cause an earthquake as well as a thunderstorm to appear.
- Super Explosive Wave – The user stands charging energy around their body, then they explode with a gigantic energy sphere around their body. If the foe comes in contact with the Super Explosive Wave, it will deal much greater damage than the normal Explosive Wave. It can also be used for defense and offense at the very same time. It also appeared in the anime and some other video games with similar effects. The larger the user or the more ki they have, the wider and more enhanced it will become.
- Revenge Demon – First, Broly attacks the opponent with a punch to their face. Then, he punches the opponent's face again, grabs them by their neck and throws them down into the ground, inflicting a great deal of damage.
- Dashing Punch – Upon assuming a semi-crucified pose while levitating, also utilizing either an aura or his energy shield, Broly attacks the opponent by rushing at them at high speed to land a punch. When in Legendary Super Saiyan Form, he simply rushes at the opponent and proceeds to punch him.
- Gigantic Throw – Broly grabs his opponent and vertically throws them down into the ground, inflicting a great deal of damage.
- Telekinesis – A technique that allows the user to manipulate objects and other people with the power of one's mind.
- Choke - A variation of telekinesis that has the user strangle their opponents without direct contact. Broly briefly utilized this on Goten.
- Torture Hold – Broly grabs his opponent, then places them atop his head with each hand grabbing his opponent's head and legs, respectively. He then constantly bends the opponent's body over his head until they presumably either give up or die.
- Demonic Playtime - Using his much larger build, Broly grabs a smaller opponent's arms from behind and viciously smashes his right knee into their spine. Then, Broly pulls their arms backwards, bending the opponent over his knee in an attempt to snap them in two.
- Wild Sense – The user dodges an attack by moving swiftly and counterattacks the opponent with a punch or a kick sending them down to the ground or into the air.

Gigantic Hammer
- Gigantic Hammer – First, Broly strikes the opponent down with a massive clothesline. Then, he grabs the opponent by their shoulders and picks them up to vertical kick them up into the air. Next, he teleports in front of the opponent as he grabs them by their head and flies down to smash them across the ground. Finally, Broly picks up the opponent by their head, and uppercuts them in the stomach, knocking them away up into the air, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
- Grab - The first part of Broly's Gigantic Hammer. It is Broly's signature attack in the Raging Blast Series.

- Dark Blast Stinger – Broly creates a large ball of black and green ki and compresses it into the shape of a spear before launching it at his opponent, impaling them.
- Darkness Blast Stinger - A stronger version of Dark Blast Stinger used by Dark Broly's SH8-65 card in Dragon Ball Heroes.
- Planet Crusher – In Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokai, Broly in his God Broly form is shown using this attack but is defeated by God Fusion Goku's God Kamehameha before launching it.
- Hovercraft Punch – Broly rushes at the opponent and punches them with a great amount of force. Used in Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu.

Broly, Broly and Bio-Broly using Legendary Demon Unit in Dragon Ball Heroes
- Legendary Demon Unit (伝説の悪魔ユニット ) - A team ability used by two versions of Broly and Bio-Broly in Dragon Ball Heroes. The trio form a barrier and power up, greatly reducing the Stamina of the enemy team and permanently increasing their team's Power Level by 20000.

- Super Saiyan

Broly's regular Super Saiyan form, without the control device
In several flashbacks in Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly is shown using his ordinary uncontrolled Super Saiyan form. Due to the lighting, the hair at times appeared pink or purple.
Due to the mind control crown forced upon him by his father Paragus, Broly possesses a weakened state of Super Saiyan. It was also heavily implied that this was the form Broly was in when he significantly damaged Planet Shamo and presumably the rest of the South Area upon being adorned with the crown at Paragus' command.
During Broly's first psychotic outburst wherein, he pursues Goku, he transforms into a Super Saiyan, although his appearance in the form differs as a result of his crown restraint. In this mind-controlled Super Saiyan form, Broly's muscles swell slightly, his hair assumes a neon blue hue with purple tint (completely purple if in a dark environment, such as his first fight with Goku), and his skin pigment is dulled, additionally, he does not gain as much power as he would in his true Super Saiyan form - this form is called Super Saiyan (A type).[9]

Broly powering up while in his mind controlled Super Saiyan form
Despite his power being suppressed Broly is still exceptionally powerful, able to take a kick directly to his neck followed by a powerful energy blast to Broly's back from Super Saiyan Second Grade Vegeta, both of which have no effect whatsoever. In addition, during his fight with Goku, his power also gradually increased in this state in a more dramatic manner (although not to the same extent as his Legendary Super Saiyan form), such being demonstrated when, prior to his being knocked into a lake, Goku kicked him hard enough to have Broly reel backwards, yet later when Goku managed to kick Broly in self-defense and later when punching him in the face, Broly was completely unaffected save for slightly bloodying his mouth in the former instance.
In Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, just before transforming into the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly becomes a green haired Super Saiyan (C type). In Broly - Second Coming, Broly's regular yellow haired Super Saiyan transformation makes its full onscreen debut. Unlike other Saiyans however, Broly's hair in this form appears as a dull yellow with a slight green tint. This form is referred to as Super Saiyan (C type).[9]
Also, from what is shown of Broly's regular Super Saiyan form, he is strong enough to take down Goten and Trunks as Super Saiyans without much effort. However, when seeing Gohan transform into a Super Saiyan 2, he reacts with shock and promptly transforms into his Legendary Super Saiyan form, implying that his regular Super Saiyan form was no match to Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 form.
- Legendary Super Saiyan

Broly transformed as the Legendary Super Saiyan in Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan
Broly awakened this form as a result of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta.[10] As the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly's strength and speed greatly excel that of any Super Saiyan shown previously. Broly's height and muscle mass are also greatly increased after transforming; the former reaching 9'10" (300cm) in height.[11] His power level also rises on several occasions found throughout the film, though whether this is caused by the form or is simply Broly increasing his power level is left unclear. Additionally, the irises and pupils in his eyes disappear, and his hair changes to a light-green color. In addition, although it has similarities to the Super Saiyan Third Grade form, and was referred to as such by one source,[12] it also possessed tremendous speed, which could be considered "Ultra-First Class",[2] which was demonstrated with his effortlessly dodging rapid attacks from a combined front of both Goku and Piccolo at one point, as well as a clothesline maneuver he performed on Goku late in their battle.
The form is genetically unique to Broly (and his clone Bio-Broly) due to being a birth-given power. Since his power level in this form is so vast, Broly has been shown to take extremely powerful attacks without flinching, such as a point-blank Kamehameha from Goku. Broly showcases his strength in this form by destroying Planet Shamo with a single energy sphere. The form's effectiveness is shown in full force as he fought two Super Saiyan Full Powers, two Super Saiyan Second Grades, and a Super Namekian all at the same time while remaining in control of the whole fight, with his opponents being unable to hurt him in the least. It was not until Goku uses the channeled ki of Gohan, Piccolo, Future Trunks and Vegeta that Broly is beaten for the first time in this form.

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly uses his full power, turning his hair completely golden
When powering up to his maximum Super Saiyan power in this state, Broly's hair changes from a green color to a golden glow of an ordinary Super Saiyan. However, his hair is more so a dull yellow color, just like his Super Saiyan C-type transformation. He uses this fully powered enhancement at the end of his battle with Goku in Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan and throughout his entire appearance as a Legendary Super Saiyan in Broly - The Second Coming.
When he reappears on Earth during Broly - Second Coming, Gohan can hardly hold his own against the Legendary Super Saiyan. In his Super Saiyan 2 transformation, Gohan is able to inflict some damage to Broly, but not enough to shift the battle in his favor. During the battle, Broly is also capable of surviving lava as a Legendary Super Saiyan using a shield, as shown when he emerges from a lava pool shortly after Gohan tricked him into being caught in it in a last-ditch effort of defeating him.
- Legendary Super Saiyan 2

Super Saiyan 2 Broly card
Broly is depicted using his own version of the Super Saiyan 2 form in Dragon Ball Kai: Miracle Battle Carddass, which is shown to be its own evolutionary version of the standard form. The form's appearance looks similar to a Legendary Super Saiyan except his hair gets slightly sharper.
- Legendary Super Saiyan 3

Legendary Super Saiyan 3 Broly in Dragon Ball Heroes
Broly achieves the Legendary Super Saiyan 3 form in the Raging Blast series, Dragon Ball Z: Dragon Battlers, and Dragon Ball Heroes. The look of this form is much like Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan form. He has great muscle mass, eyes which lack pupils and a greenish hair color (dark green in Raging Blast 2). Broly's form is referred to as Legendary Super Saiyan 3 in one of the early trailers for Raging Blast, in which Goku exclaims "Densetsu Supa Saiya-jin Suri!" (which translates to "Legendary Super Saiyan 3!"). However, he is simply referred to as "Super Saiyan 3 Broly" within the game and future appearances until the release of Dragon Ball Fusions (which explicitly refers to him as Legendary Super Saiyan 3). In the Raging Blast series, Broly as a Super Saiyan 3 is a separate character from Broly with his movie transformations. He makes his debut in Dragon Ball Heroes in the game's eighth mission. In the lore for the game, he got the form as a result of narrowly surviving his trip through the sun in Broly - Second Coming and his use of Saiyan Power afterward.
- King of Destruction

King of Destruction Broly (破壊王ブロリー Hakaiō Burorī) as a Super Saiyan 3 is a playable character in Dragon Ball Heroes, making his debut in Jaaku Mission 5.

- Great Ape (Legendary Super Saiyan)
Great Ape Broly
Broly uses this form in Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Fusions. Differently from the usual, Broly's fur is green rather than gold, he also possesses his Legendary Super Saiyan hair. In this form he is referred to as "Great Ape Broly (大猿ブロリー Ōzaru Burorī)" in the cards and in the in-game. Broly makes his debut in this form in Jaaku Mission 7, where it appeared as a boss in the Reborn Broly Saga, and it became a playable transformation in Jaaku Mission 8. The exact circumstances behind his acquiring the form varied between sources. Jaaku Mission 7, or at least the trailer, indicated that Broly gained the form, and by extension his Legendary Super Saiyan 4 form as a result of Black Smoke Shenron granting him the ability, while in Reborn Broly, he gained the form upon witnessing a green orb of Blutz Waves.
- God Broly

God Broly
In Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokai, Broly appears as "God Broly" and with his new godly form faces off against Super Saiyan Blue Goku but is ultimately defeated by God Fusion Goku.
- Super Saiyan 4

Super Saiyan 4 Broly
Broly's Super Saiyan 4 transformation debuted in Dragon Ball Heroes, where it was added in Jaaku Mission 7. He is shown achieving this form during the Reborn Broly Saga after gaining control over his Great Ape form.
In the manga, Broly first displays this state as Dark Broly. He appears in his ordinary version of the form for the first time against Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno Vegito, holding his own before taking on the aforementioned transformation himself.
Broly uses this form throughout almost his entire appearance in Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission in order to defeat the Dragon Ball Heroes team and he also kills several of the Shadow Dragons. In Victory Mission, his appearance is always accompanied by a storm of lightning and rain.
- Super Saiyan 4 Full Power

Broly as a Super Saiyan 4 Full Power
Broly reappears as a Super Saiyan 4 Full Power during the Assault on the Hell Gate Saga. After escaping Hell, he blasts away the leaders of the Time Breakers and attacks the Time Patrol but is defeated once more. The scar on his chest is a result of his childhood injury and in this state his veins are much more prominent, which represents how he is stronger and angrier than before.
Super Saiyan 4 Full Power Broly makes his debut in God Mission 5 as a God Boss, and he was given a playable SEC card in God Mission 6.
- Dark

Dark Broly
Broly is transformed into Dark Broly (ブロリーダーク Burorī Dāku, lit. "Broli Dark")[13] after merging with the Seven-Star Dark Dragon Ball. The colors of his attire also change. His wristbands and boots are black, along with his sash. Along with this change, he wears dark teal pants. His skin takes on a darker tone, browner in color than normal and with glowing red eyes.

After Dark Broly's body is given Dark Energy by Demigra during the Dark King Mechikabura Saga to resurrect him, Dark Broly is powered up and becomes a mindless berserker.
- Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker
Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Broly
During the Universe Creation Saga, Broly was able to obtain this enhanced state of Super Saiyan 4 as his repeated near-deaths and resurrections had given him a massive amount of Saiyan Power. In this state, his normally green aura becomes crimson, and he can fight with Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno Vegito (alongside Super Saiyan Blue Vegito in the anime).
- Transcended

Transcended Broly
Broly achieves the Transcended form when Dark King Demigra grants him increased evil energy, empowering his Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker form. In this form, he is enveloped by a malevolent ki and a black and red aura, similar to Cumber's own Evil Aura. This form grants him considerable power, but against Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno Gogeta, he is outmatched.

- Supervillain

Broly transformed by Time Breaker dark magic
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, thanks to Towa, Broly gains the ability to shave off life and undergo the Supervillain transformation. He can also access the imperfect version of the Supervillain state (which lacks the changes in skin tone and glowing Time Breaker symbol) in story mission "Out of My Way! - Life or Death Battle" and Parallel Quest 47: "Daddy! Don't Die!".
He later transforms into his complete Supervillain form when he is sent to interfere in the battle between Ultimate Gohan and Super Buu, and it is said that this form and his recent Saiyan Power (as it is by Chronoa and Elder Kai his surviving his previous defeat caused his power to increase) boost increases Broly's power so much, that the combined might of Supervillain Broly and Super Buu would be too much for even Ultimate Gohan to handle on his own.
- Ultra Supervillain

Broly transformed by Fu's dark magic
