Brice Weeks Armstrong (born in Dallas, Texas) was a retired anime voice actor who primarily worked on the properties of Funimation.
Biography[]
Armstrong was the narrator, and voiced Senbei Norimaki along with many background characters in Dragon Ball. He is probably most notable for his roles as Captain Ginyu and Lord Slug in Dragon Ball Z. Armstrong also voiced Udo in Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound, Sugoro in Dragon Ball GT and Lord Yao in Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy.
Some of his other roles include Igari Kanji in the Baki the Grappler franchise, Tokugawa Ieyasu in Basilisk: The Kōga Ninja Scrolls, Chairman Victor in Blue Gender, Chief Katsu in Burst Angel, various characters in Case Closed, Tohru's grandfather in Fruits Basket, Tim Marcoh in Fullmetal Alchemist, Whitman in The Galaxy Railways, various characters in the Lupin III franchise, Masamune in Samurai 7, Raizou Shiranagatani in Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning, and Mr. Takanaka, Master Metamira and Topaz in Yu Yu Hakusho.
Outside of anime dubbing, he also did the voice of Miss Etta Kette on Barney & Friends.
Armstrong retired from voice acting in 2009, and some of his former roles have been recast with new voice actors. He died on January 10, 2020, at the age of 84.
