Break Cannon (ブレイクキャノン) is a mouth energy wave attack used by Nappa. It is one of Nappa's most powerful attacks.

Overview

Nappa powers up and opens his mouth to charge a energy sphere. Then, he fires the energy sphere in the form of an energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage. Nappa notes it as his ultimate technique.

Nappa uses a weaker version of this move on Chiaotzu after his Psychic Spark fails against the ruthless Saiyan. He later uses this attack during his battle against Goku: after exchanging blows with Goku, Nappa fires the Break Cannon at Goku who quickly counters with a Kamehameha, the two energy waves collide in a Beam Struggle that soon ends with a huge explosion. Nappa then attempts to use the Break Cannon against Gohan and Krillin after losing the battle to Goku, however, Goku flies after Nappa and attacks him with the Kaio-ken Finish, breaking Nappa's back and rendering him unable to fight.

The technique was named Break Cannon in the Budokai series and Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit. It is named Lightning Cannon in Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors, Mouth Blast in Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu, and Kaghh! in Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans. The technique also appears under different names in each game of the Budokai Tenkaichi series: Super Mouth Blast, Chou Makouhou, and Kapa in Budokai Tenkaichi 1, 2, and 3 respectively. It is named Nappa Cannon in the Raging Blast games and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.

In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, the Break Cannon is one of Nappa's Ultimate Skills. This skill can be obtained as a reward by the Future Warrior in Parallel Quest 07: "Burst Open and Mix!". The duration of the attack depends on how much ki the user currently has; however, this limitation can be overcome if the user is a Super Saiyan (which negates ki drain from skills).

In Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden, Nappa uses two version of the technique, the first being My Most Powerful Move! which appears as his Ground Ultimate Combo, while the second is a My Most Powerful Move Ever! which appears as Nappa's Final Ultimate Combo.

"Fires a Ki Blast that uses all of your Ki. The more Ki that is used, the more powerful the attack."
