"A powerful Ki-laced punch!"
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Skill description

Brave Heat is one of Bardock's Ultimate Skills in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. It is a variation of his Saiyan Spirit.

Overview

Just like Saiyan Spirit, Bardock charges his energy in his right hand but its appearance is that of a flame ki, he rushes toward his opponent. Once his hand hits him, Bardock will flip backward and charges and hit his opponent with a powerful flame Energy Wave.

Variations

  • DUAL Brave Heat - A team attack and Dual Ultimate Skill variation of Brave Heat originally used by Bardock and his Saiyan teammates in battle just for fun. Bardock later teaches it to his student the Future Warrior in Xenoverse 2.[2] Can be performed together with Bardock or Time Patroller NPCs.

Video Game Appearances

Brave Heat was named and first appeared in Xenoverse 2 as Bardock's Ultimate Skill in his Battle Suit 2 Skillset.[1]

"Charges at the opponent. If the charge hits, the character will fire a powerful Ki Blast."
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Tutorial description

As part of the Masters Pack DLC, the Future Warrior (Xenoverse 2) can learn this Ultimate Skill by completing School Quest: "Lesson 3" of Bardock's Training. Unlike Saiyan Spirit, it can be used by the Future Warrior regardless of race. Interestingly, in the plot description of Lesson 3, it is mistakenly referred to as Tyrant Lancer (the name one of Bardock's Super Skills), despite the skill being listed as Brave Heat in the Lesson's Basic Reward section.[3]

"An Ultimate Attack requires the ultimate partner! Attack as a pair with Brave Heat!"
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Dual Ultimate Skill description

After the 1.09.00 Update, the Future Warrior can learn the Dual Ultimate version from Bardock after achieving maximum friendship with him as an instructor. Bardock reveals he used to use DUAL Brave Heat with his Saiyan comrades just for fun. This implies that his teammates (and presumably his wife Gine when she was still a member of the army) could preform Brave Heat together with Bardock (and/or each other) as the two person team attack DUAL Brave Heat.[2] Presumably this means that Brave Heat and its DUAL variant originates from his time as leader of Bardock's Planet Elite Force. After an update, the color for Brave Heat for Future Warrior changed from yellow to blue, and there is now an added energy burst before the attack is initiated.

Trivia

  • This technique had a translation mistake in the Portuguese translation of Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2. Instead of being called "Calor Valente", it is called "Coração Valente" (which literally means "Brave Heart").

What matters is that you get to go wild out there. Stronger attacks? Who cares about stronger attacks? You get stronger, and your attacks get stronger too. Course... it's not like there's no other way to do it. There was this one thing the others and I used to do for fun. Hmph... I guess we can try it out next time."
