"Fire a Ki Blast that cancels even strong Ki Blasts! Careful: Long activation period." |
Bomber DX (デラックスボンバー Derakkusu Bonbā) is an Energy Sphere used by Nappa.
Overview
Nappa holds his hand out and charges a fierce pulsating white energy sphere in his hand. When it is ready, he reels back and tosses a large, pure white energy sphere at the opponent that creates an enormous explosion on contact.
Usage and Power
Nappa uses this attack to destroy Yetti on Arlia before the battle on Earth, completely vaporizing the Arlian. On Earth, Nappa uses the attack against Krillin in revenge for having his face scratched by Krillin's Destructo Disc. Krillin becomes injured by the attack, but Nappa is interrupted from launching a second one by Piccolo's Destructive Wind. Nappa uses the Bomber DX again in an attempt to murder Gohan, but ends up killing Piccolo instead when he jumps in the way of the blast.[5] Powered up, Nappa uses it one last time against Goku, who nullifies the attack with only a scream.
Video Game Appearances
Bomber DX was named in the Budokai series and Dragon Ball Heroes. The attack also appears in Dragon Ball Z: Sagas, as well as one of Nappa's Super Attacks under the name Impact Bomb in the Raging Blast series, Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, and Dragon Ball Z For Kinect.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, it appears under the name Bomber DX and is one of Nappa's Super Skills. It is also used by a non-playable version of Mira in the game's story mode. It can also be obtained by the Future Warrior as a reward in Parallel Quest 22: "Earth in Danger!".
"Fires a wide-area Ki Blast that can eliminate opponents' Ki Blasts." — Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Tutorial description |
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, it returns under the name Bomber DX and is one of Nappa's Super Skills and can be learned by the Future Warrior by completing Nappa's Initiation Test to train under him. In Xenoverse 2 the blast from this technique has the additional effect of canceling out opponents' standard Ki Blasts. In the main story, Nappa uses this technique in an attempt to kill the Future Warrior, but the Future Warrior manages to survive the blast to Nappa's shock and amazement, then retaliates with a Final Shine-like Attack that injures Nappa.
