Bomber DX (デラックスボンバー, Derakkusu Bonbā, lit. "Deluxe Bomber")^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13]^[14]^[15]^[16]^[17] is an Energy Sphere used by Nappa.

Overview[]

Nappa holds his hand out and charges a fierce pulsating white energy sphere in his hand. When it is ready, he reels back and tosses a large, pure white energy sphere at the opponent that creates an enormous explosion on contact.

Usage[]

Nappa uses the attack to destroy a naval fleet of Earth's Military for his own amusement. Nappa uses it again against Krillin in revenge for having his face scratched by Krillin's Destructo Disc. Krillin becomes injured by the attack, but Nappa is interrupted from launching a second one by Piccolo's Ki Blast. Nappa uses the Bomber DX again in an attempt to murder Gohan, but ends up killing Piccolo instead when he jumps in the way of the blast.^[18] Powered up, Nappa uses it one last time against Goku, who nullifies the attack with a kiai.^[19]

Film appearances[]

In Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest, Nappa's attempted usage of the attack as well as Piccolo's sacrifice from it appears in a flashback.

In the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game, it is named Power Blast.

In the Budokai series and Dragon Ball Heroes, it is named Bomber DX.

In the Raging Blast series, Ultimate Tenkaichi, and Dragon Ball Z For Kinect, it is named Impact Bomb where it is one of Nappa's Super Attacks.

In Xenoverse, it is named Bomber DX and is one of Nappa's Super Skills. It is also used by a non-playable version of Mira in the game's story mode. It can be obtained by the Future Warrior as a reward in Parallel Quest 22: "Earth in Danger!".

In Xenoverse 2, Bomber DX returns as one of Nappa's Super Skills and can be learned by the Future Warrior by completing Nappa's Initiation Test to train under him. As part of the 1.09.00 Update DLC, it can be added to Raditz's custom skillset after it has been purchased in Partner Customization. As part of the 1.15.00 Update DLC, it can be added to Janemba's custom skillset after it has been purchased in Partner Customization. As part of the 1.17.00 Update DLC, it can be added to Omega Shenron and Super Buu's custom skillset after purchasing it in Partner Customization.

In Legends, Bomber DX appears as the Special Move Arts for Nappa (Young)(DBL-EVT-11S). Additionally, he can teach it to Shallot (DBL00-01) after reaching Friendship Rank 2.
