Beta 1, also known as Baytah, is one of Dr. Hedo's Beta Series Androids.
Appearance[]
Beta 1 appears as a handsome young man in his teenage years. He dresses in appropriate school attire to mask his true identity as an android whilst undercover.
Personality[]
Beta 1 is loyal to his creator Dr. Hedo. Similar to the Gammas, while wearing his Superhero outfit, Beta 1 acts much like a superhero calling Goten a thief when he confronts him while under the belief that he was the one responsible for stealing the data disc from the safe in Butterfly Mountain that belonged to Hedo's estranged grandfather. However, he has no qualms about leaving Beta 2 or attacking Mai after the data disc is shown to be in her possession. He also has no problem attacking other superheroes like Saiyaman X-1 when he appears to defend Goten & later Mai.
He is also shown to be capable of blending in as a student, even taking his classmate Rulah as his date for the school dance. However, his act doesn't fool Mai who identifies him as an Android. Ultimately, he values Dr. Hedo's safety over his undercover life, willing to drop his undercover persona to disarm Mai.

High School Saga[]
At school, Beta 1 introduces himself to the class as "Baytah". During a game of basketball, Baytah captures Trunks' stunning display of speed as he tries to impress Mai. His creator Dr. Hedo watching from his laboratory believes that he may be the one responsible for defeating his Alpha Series and stealing his disc and orders Beta 1 to hunt the culprit down.
After Mai points out to Trunks that Baytah is really an android and must be looking for someone at the school, Trunks avoids a number of Beta 1's "accidents" that act as attempts to expose him. After school, Goten nonchalantly lifts a truck with one arm while grabbing a soft ball leading Beta 1 and Dr. Hedo to believe he must be the culprit who defeated the Alpha Series.
Beta 1 reveals a mock superhero costume of his own and attacks Goten without hesitation as he demands that he return the data disc. Trunks undergoes his transformation as Saiyaman X-1 before proceeding to take over the confrontation with Beta 1 from Goten. Despite being a more powerful android, he still proves to be no match for Trunks who tosses him onto the school field out of harm's way of the other students. As a result, Beta 1 presses a button on his belt that causes a Battle Jacket to appear. He proceeds to fire off a missile towards the students behind Trunks, but he is able to catch it and throw it into a nearby lake.
After Trunks knocks the Battle Jacket down, Mai stumbles and drops her bags with the data disc being revealed to be inside. Dr. Hedo orders Beta 1 to catch the girl and fires off a barrage off missiles to distract Trunks. Thankfully all the missiles are countered by the appearance of Goten now in his Saiyaman X-2 outfit. The top half of the Battle Jacket detaches itself leaving its bottom half, a self-aware android in its own right known as Beta 2 behind. Goten makes quick work of Beta 2 while Trunks shatters the Battle Jacket surrounding Beta 1 before catching Mai.
Beta 1 appears again several days later at the school dance with Rulah, taking Mai's weapon from her when she takes aim at his creator Dr. Hedo. He makes an escape with him after also re-acquiring the data disc but is soon after caught and arrested by the police along with his creator.
Power[]

Beta 1 is much more powerful than the Alpha Series, including Alpha 12, and was Hedo's masterpiece at the time of his creation. He is strong enough to force Goten to have to go on the offensive, though he is quickly overpowered by Trunks. Using his Beta 2 Battle Jacket he is able to put up a better fight, though is still at a disadvantage, and is beaten by Super Saiyan Trunks' Steam Cleaner High Pressure, though Beta 1 himself is not destroyed.
Abilities[]
- 3D Scan Mode - Beta 1's eyes are able to send camera feedback to Hedo, allowing the doctor to see what he sees.
- Communicator - Beta 1 is able to communicate with Hedo over long distance.
Beta 1 piloting Beta 2
- Beta 2 - A Battle Jacket Android who is piloted by Beta 1. It is activated by Beta 1 by pressing the B logo on his belt.
- Hikou - The top half of Beta 2 is capable of flight via the jets that make up the bottom of it.
- Rocket Launcher - The top half of Beta 2 can convert its arms into missile launchers, while the bottom half of Beta 2 is capable of rapid firing missiles.
