Beelzebub

Beelzebub is renowned as the "Prince of the Underworld," but generally referred to only as "Prince" by his fellow demons. He lives in Sand Land, a barren wasteland inhabited by humans and demons where the supply of water is controlled by a greedy human king. Beelzebub tries to live in relative harmony with the humans: although he regularly steals water from them, he only takes as much as he and his fellow demons need to survive. Simply out of boredom, Beelzebub and a wise demon called Thief join Sheriff Rao in his quest to find an elusive lake which will possibly meet the needs of the inhabitants of Sand Land. In the search for the long-lost lake, the trio confronts the king's army several times and discovers the truth behind many mysteries. Beelzebub lends the old sheriff his enhanced sight and demonic strength to fight against the king's army and bring down the tyrannous human king.

Power[]

Beelzebub is weaker than his dad but stronger than most humans. He was able to lift a tank off of the ground, though he had help from Thief. Beelzebub is widely known for being powerful among both humans and demons. Commander Zeu was afraid of Beelzebub. It was stated that Beelzebub alone could overthrow the king if he wanted to. Beelzebub later easily defeats a gang called the Swimmers and was able to run at a speed of 100 mph. The only foe shown to best Beelzebub was Insect Man, though Beelzebub later defeated him by using his full power.

Trivia[]

  • This character is named after Beelzebub, another name given to the devil in the New Testament, which itself derives from Baal Zebub (lit. "the god of flies" though it was originally god of ALL THAT flies, not flies alone), the name of an ancient Phoenician idol.
  • His appearance is strongly similar to Shimorekka and Fin in terms of height and hairstyle.
