Barrier of Hope is a technique used by Android 17.
Overview[]
By using Android Barrier to its fullest, 17 shields his allies and creates a series of barrier walls to stave off an incoming attack, before activating his Android Bomb to retaliate with a massive self-destructive attack.
Usage[]
During the anime version of the Tournament of Power, 17 uses the technique to defend a battered Goku and Vegeta from Jiren's Power Impact. Having seemingly sacrificed his life to save the Saiyans, 17 was curiously not registered as eliminated on the GodPad by the Omni-Kings, and the Grand Minister did not penalize Jiren for 17's sacrifice. 17 would later reveal his survival to face Jiren alongside Frieza, having gambled on tanking his own blast and lucking out.
