The jungle in the Dragon Ball anime

The Bamboo Forest (バンブの森) is a jungle on Earth. It is located west of East City, east of the Spinach Wastes, and north of a heated desert.[1]

In the Dragon Ball anime, Krillin is seen in a forest very similar to the Bamboo Forest after he left the Orin Temple in East City for Kame House, in order to become Master Roshi's student. Yamcha, Bulma, Oolong and Puar also crash in this forest while going to West City after the events of the Emperor Pilaf Saga, and become afraid by the monsters they encounter there and the noise Krillin makes while training.[2]

At the beginning of the Red Ribbon Army Saga, Goku spends times with monkeys in a jungle near Colonel Silver's Camp; this jungle could be the Bamboo Forest as both are near East City. Colonel Silver orders his soldiers to burn this forest in order to find the Dragon Ball located in the region near East City.

In the video game Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans, after King Piccolo's defeat, Krillin returns to the Orin Temple only to find that it has been attacked by a girl named Paopao. He pursues the person who attacked the temple to the Bamboo Forest and defeats her there. Enemies encountered in the Bamboo Forest in the game are Betrayer, Instructor, Tiger, Dangerous Panda, Ghost Pot, and Lantern Ghost.

It is one of the ten locations in the board game The Heroic Dragon Ball Z Adventure Game.
