"A sword like the rough one Yamcha wore when he was a bandit."
Yamcha's Sword Accessory description in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Azure Dragon Sword (青龍刀 Seiryū Tō[3]) is a type of blade used by the Bear Thief and Yamcha. It is a scimitar, possibly based on various Chinese broadswords such as the niuweidao (牛尾刀 lit. "Ox Tail Saber") and the liuyedao (柳叶刀 lit. "Willow Leaf Saber").

JUMP FOREST JUMP

The Bear Thief attacks Goku with his sword

The Bear Thief and Yamcha's swords appear different in design, possibly because of their different sizes and the user customizing their blade: the Bear Thief's sword is somewhat rough with ridges on the back, while Yamcha's Azure Dragon sword is more ornate with a tassel on the handle and gold designs.

Usage[]

The Bear Thief uses this blade when he attacks Goku in order to get Turtle for his lunch. However, Goku jumps on the sword and knocks the Bear Thief out with a single punch.[4]

Yamcha's blade is able to combat against Goku's Power Pole. He releases his sword after Goku hits him in the stomach with the Power Pole. This happens in both the Dragon Ball anime series[5] and the movie Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies.

Video Game Appearances[]

The sword can be seen in Yamcha's hideout in Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans.

It is a treasure found in the first stage of Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo.

The sword can also be seen in Dragon Ball: Origins and Dragon Ball: Origins 2.

In Xenoverse series, there is an accessory for the Future Warriors called Yamcha's Sword which based off the one wield by Yamcha during his bandit days.
