Alexis Tipton (born in Los Angeles, California) is an American voice actress who works for Funimation. She voices Trunks in the Funimation English dub of Dragon Ball Super and Erasa in Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters.
Biography[]
Tipton is best known for the roles of Mizuki Himeji in Baka and Test, Lala Satalin Deviluke in To Love Ru, Julia Crichton in Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos, Mina Carolina in Attack on Titan and AOT: Junior High, Kurumi Tokisaki in Date A Live, Lupusregina Beta in Overlord, Gina Boyd in How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? and Moka Akashiya in Rosario + Vampire.
Trivia[]
- Prior to Dragon Ball Super, Tipton has had a long history with her predecessor, Laura Bailey.
- For her role of the young Queen Victoria in Black Butler, Tipton was initially (and erroneously) credited as "Laura Bailey."
- Tipton first voiced Trunks in the Xenoverse series as part of Gotenks (with Kara Edwards), as fusion voices are recorded on-site within the same booth (whereas Bailey was living in Los Angeles and could not make the session). Though Bailey ultimately reprised Kid Trunks, the voice has proven to become strenuous for her,[3] thus Tipton (in addition to being more accessible) has lightened her load by performing her lines as Gotenks. As such, similar arrangements were made for The Final Chapters.
- Tipton had previously replaced Bailey in the role of Platinum the Trinity for BlazBlue: Alter Memory, as the latter could not reprise the role due to scheduling conflicts (the same reason is also why she could not reprise Trunks for Dragon Ball Super).
