Ever since Goku became Earth's greatest hero and gathered the seven Dragon Balls to defeat the evil Boo, his life on Earth has grown a little dull. But new threats loom overhead, and Goku and his friends will have to defend the planet once again in this continuation of Akira Toriyama's best-selling series, "Dragon Ball Super"![1]
A People's Pride
Granolah's fierce assault seems to have Gas on the ropes until the youngest Heeters member's inner nature is unleashed, leading to an all-out assault like nothing any of our heroes have ever encountered before! But perhaps the key to defeating Gas has something to do with memories of Bardock, Goku's long-deceased father?![2]
Story Thus Far[]
A long, long time ago, Son Goku left on a journey in search of the legendary Dragon Balls-a set of seven balls that, when gathered, would summon the dragon Shenlong to grant any wish. After a great adventure. he collects them all. Later, he becomes the apprentice of Kame-Sen'nin, fights a number of vicious enemies, defeats the great Majin Boo, and restores peace on Earth. Some time passes, and then Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction, suddenly awakens and sets out in search of the Super Saiyan God. Goku, by becoming the Super Saiyan God, manages to stop Beerus from destroying Earth and starts training under him with Vegeta. After some time, the ancient villain Moro escapes from the Galactic Prison and is ultimately destroyed by Goku, who's mastered Ultra Instinct... Later, the Heeters trick Granolah the Cerealian into fighting Goku and Vegeta, but in the midst of their battle, Monaito appears and tells the tale of how Bardock, Goku's father, once saved Granolah and Monaito. Granolah learns that the Heeters are the real enemy and proceeds to face off against Gas. The Cerealian's fierce attacks seem to have his foe on the ropes until Elec unleashes his brother's inner nature, leading to a fearsome awakening of a power the likes of which our heroes have never seen before![2]
Volume introduction by Toyotarō[]
"I've really gotten into plants lately. I never had much reason to care about the weather since starting this line of work, but now I check the forecast every day. It's nice to feel like I have a connection to the outside world."[2]
