For those who don't know, Chapat is a character from Saving Soldier Cashman - been a cowardly and lazy police officer from Slope Town. He is killed at the beginning of the story when Diora, an alien cop from the planet Biretijon, is forced to crash land on Earth after his ship is damaged while chasing some alien criminals.
While Diora is able to repair his ship, he doesn't have enough fuel (Gold been his ship's fuel) to get home. As such, he fuses with Chapat; gaining his appearance and memories and thus inheriting his job as a cop...as well as "inheriting" Chapat's girlfriend, Shampur. With the job paying a low salary, Diora uses his real appearance to become the superhero "Cashman" and rescue people - in exchange for a substantial fee - to get the money he needs to buy fuel in order to get home.
However, since we don't know much about Yamcha's backstory before he was a bandit hanging out with Puar in the desert, what if it turned out that Yamcha and Chapat were actually brothers who were separated when very young?
For this hypothetical scenario, the heroes are training during the three-year wait for the Androids - with the group (including Yamcha) been drawn into a fracas with some alien criminals, during which they meet with Diora.
After seeing off the villains (and been somewhat critical at Diora charging money for saving people), Diora tells his backstory and the reason for his "greed"; revealing Chapat's human form. However, Yamcha reacts in shock - recognizing Chapat as his younger brother who disappeared when they were kids; having thought that he'd died around that time.
(This gives you an opportunity to give Yamcha some more background information).
- With Goku's help (and King Kai's help as well), they travel to New Namek to use their Dragon Balls to defuse Diora and Chapat before reviving Chapat (complete with all the necessary memories he'd need of what had happened since his death while Diora had been using his body), with Yamcha and his younger brother having a rather heartfelt reunion; the final wish been used to transport Diora and his ship back to his homeworld - much to his delight. With that, Goku then uses Instant Transmission to bring everyone back to Earth.
Question is, do you think anything meaningful may come out of this?
Curious to see what you guys think.
