Based on a comment that @OmniKingLordZenoh made on one of my previous threads (where I asked if Shenron could have slowed/stopped Vegeta and Nappa's arrival on Earth).

I decided to take that idea and run with it. So, here goes:

- After Goku and Raditz's deaths at the hands of Piccolo (and Raditz warning that two more powerful Saiyans will come to Earth to avenge and revive him), Piccolo steals Gohan away to begin training him for the incoming threat while Kami has King Yemma allow Goku to begin traveling along Snake Way to go train with King Kai.

However, with the threat of more Saiyans coming to Earth, the heroes instead decide to try stopping them from reaching Earth in the first place or at least slowing them down. Gathering the Dragon Balls as soon as possible and summoning Shenron (and with them and Kami having to deal with Chi-Chi over her husband been dead and her son been missing, along with the fact their wish isn't been used to retrieve either of them), they initially ask Shenron if he can kill the two Saiyans before they arrive. Unfortunately, Shenron states he can't kill them as their power outmatches Kami, his creator, so it's beyond his power to harm them directly.

- Hearing this, however, and with the knowledge that Raditz arrived on Earth in a pod, Bulma instead asks if he can affect the ships they're traveling in. When Shenron states this would be possible, she asks for their pods to be instead be set on course to an inhospitable planet; reasoning that even if it doesn't stop them from arriving, it will buy the heroes more time.

Shenron is able to do this and grants the wish before departing, with Kami asking King Kai to keep a watch on the pods and alert him of any changes. Out in space, Vegeta and Nappa are in hypersleep and thus don't realize anything is wrong as their computer's targeted location is magically changed; their pods altering course for a very different location; Vampa.

After some time, Vegeta and Nappa are awakened at their pods landing far earlier than anticipated - leaving both Saiyans confused and trying to figure out where they are. Although Vegeta had set the pods to approach Arlia first then Earth, it's still too early for them to have arrived at Arlia either. Looking around and scanning for life, however, they soon pick up a higher power level and follow it - ending up meeting with Paragus (who is this situation has still lost his eye but retains his black hair as he's still in his prime).

- Surprised to meet another Saiyan and with Nappa recognizing him (since Paragus was a Colonel and part of King Vegeta's court while Nappa was a General) and explaining to Vegeta that Paragus disappeared some time before Planet Vegeta's destruction. Hearing this and wanting to know more, Paragus learns of the Saiyan's near extinction following the destruction of their homeworld by a 'meteor' and of King Vegeta's death.

For Paragus, however, this was destiny - the son of the man he wanted revenge on has been presented to him (Prince Vegeta been a suitable substitute for his revenge as King Vegeta was dead) and, once Vegeta and Nappa were dead, he would finally be able to leave Vampa behind with their pods.

Admitting to wanting revenge on King Vegeta and his plan to kill them both, Vegeta initially scoffed at this as Paragus' power was far below his own - only for Paragus to shout a single word:

"BROLY!"

- Before Vegeta and Nappa can react, both are sent flying by an attack from Broly; younger at this point in the story but still mighty. With Paragus quickly explaining to him that this is King Vegeta's son and so they can have their revenge and finally leave Vampa, he orders Broly to kill them both.

As such, Broly begins fighting both Vegeta and Nappa at once; his power growing through the fight and with him adapting to them both as it continues - with Nappa and Vegeta's scouters both been shattered during the fight. In desperation, Nappa and Vegeta (one at a time) use the moon near Vampa to become Great Apes to try to tilt the odds in their favor against the rampaging Saiyan, but even this is only a temporary reprieve as Broly's power continues to grow rapidly while he now has two much bigger targets to hit (along with experience fighting large monsters thanks to his "training" with Ba when he was a child).

After beating down both of them, Paragus instructs Broly to blast off their tails before finishing them off - which Broly does; reverting them back to their base forms before turning them to ash, although Paragus has to use the shock collar to 'pacify' Broly when he threatens to lose control even after the fight has concluded.

- With Vegeta and Nappa dead, Paragus congratulates Broly before inspecting their pods. Having been out of the loop for a while due to been trapped on Vampa for nearly three decades, he decides to follow the course initially set on the pod's navigational computers - curious to see what the planets that Vegeta and Nappa were originally going to are like as they now search for a new home.

As they begin to fly towards Arlia, King Kai had witnessed the entire thing - telling Kami and then, due to Goku prying, telling him what had happened on Vampa; leaving Goku shocked that two more Saiyans were out there and that one of them had enough power to take down the two evil Saiyans that were stronger than his brother. In any case, this motivates him to train harder - just in case these other two Saiyans are hostile.

As expected, Paragus and Broly arrive on Arlia and allow themselves to be captured; meeting Atla and learning of the planet's history before breaking free, with Broly killing King Moai's guards and Yetti before Paragus kills King Moai. With Atla once again King of Arlia and reunited with his wife, Queen Lemlia, Paragus and Broly leave; Paragus deciding to leave Arlia intact (unlike Vegeta, who blew it up since it wouldn't be worth much to the Frieza Force).

- On Earth, the heroes keep training as they learn the pods are still coming and their "new" occupants are not necessarily hostile but are definitely stronger. When the Dragon Balls become active, Goku is wished back to life but has to run along Snake Way. Thanks to the delay in the pod's arrival due to the detour to Vampa, Goku makes it back in time before they make their landing on Earth.

(I know this wish would technically be over the year-long limit by a day or so, but I think Shenron could still grant the wish as it's not over the limit by much).

- Upon meeting Paragus and Broly - who land outside a populated area to avoid unnecessary attention (unlike Vegeta and Nappa, who landed in East City before destroying it), the groups talk; Paragus explaining his and Broly's backstory and what happened with Nappa and Vegeta on Vampa, with Goku confirming that they're telling the truth after Broly is able to successfully sit on the Flying Nimbus - proving that he's pure-hearted.

While there are still some issues to work out (such as Goku taking issue with the shock collar that Broly has to wear), things are mostly resolved; Paragus having had his revenge and no longer wanting to destroy or conquer, but instead just wanting a place better than Vampa that he and Broly can call home - with him admitting that Earth seems like a promising potential option, while Goku is curious about potentially training with Broly since he is a "nice" Saiyan but is also really powerful.

- Additionally, Paragus having the remotes for the pods will allow Bulma to use them to later create the Capsule Corporation Spaceships without blowing the pods up (King Kai maybe suggesting about visiting Yardrat in the future to help get Broly's power under control without the need of the collar), while Paragus will likely know what a Namekian is - allowing both Piccolo and Kami to remember their heritage.

As such, the Saiyan Saga ends with all the heroes alive and with two new allies to the team.

Question is, how do you think this would change the Dragon Ball Timeline going forward?

= Since Frieza never learned about the Dragon Balls on Namek but may have heard about the ones on Earth from Raditz's scouter, could we see an alternate version of the Namek Saga take place on Earth?

= Could the heroes defeat the Androids and Cell if they have Broly's power to take into account and his DNA to add to the Bug Man - possibly with Future Gohan been the one to warn them and bring back the Heart Medicine?

= Without Vegeta, would the Buu Saga and Daima Saga both be wrapped up quicker, and will there be enough "Saiyans with righteous hearts" in the future for if/when a certain God of Destruction shows up?

Curious to see what you guys think.

Like why did they make them So big for?

In the Saiyan Saga, before Nappa and Vegeta are due to arrive, the heroes gather the Dragon Balls and summon Shenron in order to revive Goku. However, before they can, Oolong asks Shenron if it would be possible for Shenron to defeat the Saiyans instead.

Shenron, however, states that it's not possible; clarifying that he cannot affect anyone more powerful than Kami - his creator - against their will.

So, we know that Shenron couldn't use his power to affect Nappa and Vegeta directly as they're more powerful than Kami.

However, what about their Saiyan Pods? Could he instead have caused those (as well as Vegeta and Nappa's scouters) to malfunction - either drastically slowing down Nappa and Vegeta's arrival to Earth or outright leaving them stranded in the vacuum of space with no means to call for help and with their pod's life-support system comprised or failing entirely?

(Admittedly a pretty morbid way to go, but it would end the threat at least).

Do you think Shenron could have done this, or would he be unable to and the original wish of reviving Goku would be used?
